Great flashback video since it popped back up in my feed. The way this weather is going right now, we'll be back on Mille Lacs in just a few short weeks!
@@InDepthOutdoorsTV Yeah I'm still trying for a deer, but the bright side is at least the water temps will cool down. Big plans and lots of trips on tap for this ice season. Good luck this winter!
You guys and Aaron from Uncut angling post the best fishing stuff on youtube in my opinion. I love how you guys give tips throughout the video to help out other anglers.
Ahh Mille Lacs..... used to live east of Malmo by a handful of miles. (Rosebergs are long time family friends) Spent a lot of time on that lake watching other people land fish left and right -everyone but me! Heh, someday that might change. Nice to see the IDO team on a lake I'm familiar with. Keep it up guys!
Hi, nice to see there is some walleyes still left in the lake! I was wondering what size braided line and leader works best for jigging walleyes through the ice?
Awesome job , love the videos and I've for sure put more walleye on the ice, bank, and boat watching your videos.. Because of these videos I've become familiar with and started to use rippin raps, slap raps, and authentx plastics and have caught many big walleye here In central new york on all of them.
How do they set up the set lines? I noticed they have split shot above the minnows. Is the weight on bottom? Or to you hover the rig just above bottom?
I'm planning a ice fishing trip up to Minnesota and I was wondering If you could point me In the direction of some good crappie and perch lakes on the northern side of Minneapolis area by chance or any place around there thanks
The iFish Pro rods are 34 inch Lake Trout Precisions (LTP) from Tuned Up Custom Rods with Okuma Avenger ABF 20 baitfeeder reels. Our outside jigging rods are 38 inch Commanders, also from Tuned Up Customs. tunedupcustomrods.com
Looking for some input....need a pair of extremely warm boots, preferably being of normal size for ice fishing so I can put micro-spikes over them. My feet become horribly cold, so I'm looking for something new. Any suggestions??
You guys should to a little gig episode where you (otter and marcum guys) go fishing with Dave genz or Jason Mitchell (clam and Vexilar guys) that would be a really cool fun episode

Sorry about that. Every once in awhile something slips past the editors. Don't be too hard on them, they have three days at the most to edit an entire TV show!

You're not kidding. 5-8 inches of snow forecast for tomorrow!

What rod and line/leader combinations do you like for the I fish pros on Mille lacs?
In the last open water show you promised you would try out the paddle tail swim bait out there
We did. Didn't work. Switched to a spoon and caught them like crazy.
Great show guys, can I ask you, do you have better luck with treble hooks or single hooks on the I fish pros
When fishing sucker minnows definitely treble hooks.
How do they set up the set lines? I noticed they have split shot above the minnows. Is the weight on bottom? Or to you hover the rig just above bottom?
Hi Justin, follow this link to detailed info on how James rigs his ifishpro lines. www.in-depthoutdoors.com/community/forums/topic/ifish-pro-3/

I don't know if your spikes will fit but baffin Apex are very warm, comfortable, and dry.

Do you use 10 inch augers?
No, we typically use 8-inch. We only use 10 inch augers when we're targeting giant northern pike or lake trout.
Why don't you use the rt-9 yet?
We prefer the portability of the lx7 and lx9 on a lithium shuttle.
Wohoo!
👍 nice
