    My first comment and let me start from the beginning
    My first impression of tsilate was on saq jam and i enjoyed ur segment and i shared to many of my friends, Nobody likes u idk why 🙄 then u appeared on my feed of YT
    And the reason that i watched this podcast is tsion's calmness and tsilate's wildness
    I enjoyed the topics
    My idea for feminist issue is please try to fit in because i don't want to lose a good woman for fighting a battle that has been there for a generation ik when it become personal as a woman it hard to take in... Many people connected to bible or physical incapability or some other that's why it has been there for a generation
    As a woman there is a battle in these world please don't add another threatening issue to ur life because ur life matter for ur family

    Astounded by the fact that the public's infuriation with her comments left you somehow surprised, wasn't that obvious?
    From her ill-perceived understanding of our society's sacred value of bearing children to her sickening tone, you don't have to be a prophet to see it coming.
    And one point I'd like to add is, you (both ፅላተ and ፅዮን) don't have to nod at every single statement that comes out of a "feminist" guest. I have heard ፅዮን say in one of the episodes, "እሱ ነው የሚያስፈልገው" after the guest publicly admitted to being a "walking contradiction" but won't stop voicing her opinion.
    Should we listen to "activists" who haven't figured it out for themselves yet? Won't their misunderstanding paint an unwanted shadow over the whole movement? What could be the implications of claims like Dr. Mahlet's on our society's understanding of the whole movement? Won't it alienate? Isn't the very essence of it going to suffer from the ill notion she and others painted?

    • @tsilatesolomon8833
      @tsilatesolomon8833 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The public disagreeing in the comments and the public taking dangerous actions against an individual are completely different ideas though. I am not surprised at the disagreement. More at the willingness to harm her.
      I will take the nodding comment in to consideration. Thank you for the thought out input.

    New subscriber!! I have different view but I love the discussion. I want you girls to look at this book called fascinating womanhood it will answer most of the questions you guys brought up like why would she go to school to be house maker but they’re justified in working in this situations like compelling emergencies, furthering the husband’s education or training, the older women (like if your kids are out from the house you might have extra time so you can use your education to start working. And you don’t need to have high level education but good level of education it’s very important to your kids bc you’re their teacher in the house and you might also want to home school your kids so the education is important but working outside shouldn’t be women’s responsible. That’s also my believe but everyone has different opinion

    Judgement is easy, but it doesn't do any good. Understanding the issue comes first. How did we end up with this type of society? What is causing people to react to a basic, righteous statement in this way?

    Yall outdoing yourselves
    .the past couples of episodes have been really great.i cant believe i started following your show somehow begrudgingly..but hey !i am fan now
    To pick up on the backlas that came about with dr mahleet't episode
    i knew that was coming ..i knew the so called traditionalists and everyone else were going to lose thier s'''t the moment these topics are brought up
    think about it ... isnt is so strage we barely think about having children in moral terms which i think is what struck a nerve with many people .. the momment people realized it isn't just about logistics and meeting societal expectations of course thy are going to be pissed :)
    i have to say i dont agree with dr mahleet't on evey point ..i mean the whole antinatalisim philosophy which i think is whats she was getting at doesnt do it for me ..not as a solution to the problems of humann suffering in general.. Great discussion nonetheless .

    The only reason that I don’t finish watching this podcast is because of their incapability to speak fluently. It hurts my head when I hear them struggle to speak eloquently.

    Do research on education attainment and high IQ on women.
    Worldwide, the more women are educated and the more are intelligent, the lesser they tend to get married or /and have 1.5 kids.
    Poor people ( worldwide) tend to get married early and tend to have more kids. Their life scope is literally limited to family matters only and not personal ( dreams and passions) achievements -- in most part, not living a fulfilling life.

    As a man who speaks too much 'English mixed amharic' on my day to day life, I noticed how much that thing is disgusting. Train yourself to finish a statement with a language you start with - Ofcourse Amharic. Am trying to do that here. Think about it, Isn't it slavery?...Plus - even tho we don't wanna accept that - it kinda makes us feel as if we are smart. Sheeesh, we are so stupid.
    And about the podcast, it was not that good to be honest. It was not organised. You guys talked about literally everything (I mean on every related broad topic) and on everything in your mind. You might say "Um, what's wrong with that?", but well, let me put it like this, the world doesn't function in that way. It actually shouldn't function in thay way. So organise thy self. That's my comment.
    I've lots of comments but let me stop here.
    Finished the whole video anyway. Thank you for trying to bring some change 🫶🏾

      @Drunk-Fly 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I too dislike when they mix languages ,but they are being strategic because the topic they often discuss might upset the local communities , I think the reason they use English and could also be that they want to reach out ( market) themselves international.

    • @3ethel318

      @@3ethel318 There is a difference between colonization and self-colonizing I guess. We are diluting our identity ( language, culture, and DNA) Even Abichu wears makeup to look a lighter skinned house Ni…er. Self-hate is real in that particular region of the world, brother.

    First of who is your listener? What is the reason that you open social media? To make money , educate people or to address your view so, you have to be open for comments. once u are out for public which means anybody can and will judge you, and please don't say "our community" if u go any where in the world and u are out for public it is a must to say comments on the thing that you are doing. you have a view and the rest of us too!
