In Japan, which drives on the left, left turns on red are mainly prohibited. The only exceptions to turning left on a red light are if there's a specific sign posted which is a white sign with a blue turn arrow and if there's another solid green arrow with the red light.
Found it, this is great. I wouldn't mind more examples on this, as it's really confusing for many foreign drivers. Also where to position the car and to look out for pedestrian crossings.
This is really helpful! I just finally processed my foreign drivers license into a Japan one and can finally drive but I am so used to driving on the right lane. I am scared I might get confuse with the traffic light so thank you for this simple yet educational video 👍👍
It would be nice if you can explain how to take Right Turn. I notice that when traffic light is green, cars which wants to turn right approaches towards the center of the intersection and if the have opportunity then they go right. The thing which is not clear to me is, should the 2nd or 3rd car should follow the first car while approaching right or they should wait and only proceed if first car has taken right turn.
its so simple lmao , if the front car is turning right he can turn right and the next car is not, you will wait until the first front car will move and you can turn right if u want to turn right if not just stop
I mean here in Canada a green arrow can be displayed with a red ball light It makes perfect sense as it stops all other directions except the arrows direction Now what doesn't make sense in japan is when they have all direction arrows lit with a red ball light instead of a green ball light
