Nice to know that in Japan they also use the emergency flashers as a thank you. Many truck drivers (18 wheelers) in the USA and in Mexico do the same.

It's the one at 5:20 that gets me. Not only is it redundant, as you already have brake lights on the car, but taking one of your hands off the wheel to fumble around for the flasher button in a moment where you need two hands on the wheel the most is irresponsible. Couple that with taking your eyes off the road to check if the car behind you has turned on their flashers so that you can turn yours off is utterly asinine and very unsafe.

What's the rule when allowing someone to cut in front of you? Turning your headlights on and off once? Twice?

I really enjoyed watching your videos. I am growing my confidence to feel comfortable in renting a car next time I visit Japan. By the way, as for visiting the country side, when you are in a small town are there any regulations on how you should park in the local streets if there is no public parking spot?

My Japanese father in law was driving on a very busy and very fast road with large trucks barreling down behind his mini Kai car. He was lost so he stopped and put on his flashers. I screaming in English don't stop here it is dangerous as I saw cars slamming on there brakes. Of course he didn't understand what I was saying and looked confused. Somehow the brroken Japanese for don't stop pop into my brain. "Koko abuni tomarie dame!", He just say "daijoubu... Flashers". I thought for sure that we were going to be hit from behind. Thankfully, many car were honking on the horn and yelling out the window (in stronger Japanese) not to stop. He got the message and drove about 30 feet to a side road and turned off the busy road.
My lesson from that scary experience was that flashers are not magic shields that protect you from blocking traffic.
Now that I am driving in Japan, I see how annoying and dangerous many drivers are by stopping on narrow roads using those flashers just to pop into a store or take a nap.
They are meant to be hazard lights for a reason, not to be used willy nilly anytime I don't want to pay for a parking spot.

Can i ask if a person with physically disabled can get a driver license in Japan? i am physically disabled my right hand and feet are weak.

It's possible to get a license in Japan. Conditions will be stated on your license card. And you might have to prepare for a modified vehicle according to your physical condition. You should ask it at a license center in a prefecture you live.
