If you had the courage to watch this, you are probably not as lazy as you think. A truly lazy person would never look into improving themselves or being more productive.

niha sharma I used to think I was lazy, but I it’s because I compared myself to “super ambitious” people. The error with this kind of thinking is that most “super ambitious” people, have something to prove, to themselves and to others. They have a low sense of self worth and value, so they constantly need to be “on the go” doing and achieving to feel they have worth and value. Problem is, that doesn’t work!!! Look at Doctors for example. Super over achievers, with a super high suicide rate. My father is a wealthy, overachiever and he is very unhappy. This is very Un-American but...it’s ok to rest and be still. It’s actually very good for you. Problem is for many, you can’t go get attention on fb or instagram posting that you stayed home and took a nap. So much of the content we see on TH-cam is NOT highly motivated people. ITS PEOPLE STARVING FOR ATTENTION AND A SENSE OF SELF WORTH. THANK

Understand that what you're dealing with is not laziness. Don't give depression the power to tell you you're other things that you're not. You're not "lazy and depressed", you're simply "depressed". Depression can be very powerful (trust me, I know first hand), but it doesn't have to be something that leaks into every area of your life and gives you all these labels. My depression comes in the form of general apathy. I used to say "I'm a depressed and apathetic person," but that's not actual true. Outside of my down periods, I'm not actually an apathetic individual. It's my depression causing every feelings. So instead, I reframed my thinking to say "My depression sometimes causes apathy." In this way, I'm not giving depression a power to label me as anything that I'm not. I'm also siloing depression in my brain to understand exact what it does to me and when it does it. It's almost like making depression a specific imaginary friend in your brain instead of an all consuming rain cloud over your head.

Im lazy bc of this phone, i can spend hours in bed in the mornings lmao. But on the days I don’t use my phone I’m fine. It’s just hard not to be at phone when the environment of my house is such that everyone is on the phone/computer etc etc, so there is no one yo talk to. But i just need to discipline myself into studying. I just get very frustrated if i spend a lot of time on something, especially if its a hw that i cant be over with or i don’t understand. I could be motivated and all and then get annoyed after it takes too long. Not only hw tho, but generally even being on TH-cam for too long annoys me. Idk if that’s some kinda mental condition or smth lmao. But yeah anyways I ll be fine, just need to teach self discipline and time management and not procrastinating. Idk why I’m writing this lmao, i guess if someone relates lol.

So many friendships broken, broken relationships, etc. Depression, then anxiety, then procrastination, laziness took over. Would spend 2 days without leaving the yard due to social fear. Hopefully the info on this video will propel me to look at my life in a more positive way than always feeling guilty, ashamed and having a sense of fear. Nothing lasts forever!

Let me get some things clear. I didn't graduate, and don't have a job. I still live with my mom, and I'm 20. I know most parents would be pissed and kick them out, etc. But my mom doesn't. She actually knows how I'm feeling and tells me "you just haven't found your passion". But deep down, u feel like its bugging her. Hell, I'm more frustrated than she is. The past few years have been rough for us. I was a drop out all of junior year, prior to getting out of juvy, then on to probation. Plus these last few months haven't been easy either since my great grandma, my grandma, and my grandpa passed away within 6 months. So my situation is a combination of depression, laziness, and unmotivated. It's a HARD habit to get over.

I failed my last subject on college after I rejected the D grade from elective course. Then this year, I was the only one who passed it with an A. 4 years prior, I've succeeded in becoming full time student at the age of 25. So I went from straight A student to prolonging my study solely because of laziness. I started going back to gym 2 weeks ago and results are there. Got my V taper going, started to stretch my shirts at their upper portions, but I still have a lot of fluff to remove. It just goes on to show, when somebody is motivated and organized, they can achieve a lot.
P.S. here's my monologue on laziness:
There is not such thing that will make you more empty inside than laziness.

I used to be lazy some years back, but the way I changed from being lazy and unproductive, to being productive is writing down what I need to do the day before, right before bedtime ! That has to be the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Another slacker
Xer trying to rewrite history! This has to be the most motivated and socially conscious generation we have seen in at least 30 years!

I am 62 and my motivation was peace. So after being blessed with a good job, I resigned the position at the age of 37 and shifted to the Himalayas to live in an ashram. I do little, keep to myself, do the "know thyself bit," and have no ambition whatsoever. I am not sure what it all means.

Pomodoro technique helps so much with this - 25 minutes of working straight, separated by 5 minute breaks (not using your phone, which stimulates your brain - but doing things such as meditating, drinking water, clearing your mind, spacing out even, etc.)!

I think some of the key is stop shaming oneself and find some WAY at some time that works for YOU. A 5am jog sounds awful to me. That doesn’t make me lazy. I’m just not motivated by jogging that early. I prefer to exercise in group classes in the evenings. FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!! Much love ❤️ and forgive yourself and move on!!

Yolanda m - Try forgiving yourself for gaining weight. Each day you have a new chance to begin a plan to lose it, if you want & only when you want; only when you’re ready. It will happen when *you* are *ready* to lose it; and *not* until then. It’s not easy, but it’s doable! May God Bless You!

I am a lazy person and this year is a big change for me because there are many things that I have to do and I have to be responsible, but it's just so hard to get out of my comfort zone and usually I tend to leave things to the last minute and I don't know how to break this bad habit. I also have to do very many new things that I think are hard compared to what I usually do and I am just trying to avoid them.
