Neat, I'll have to try over on that side next time, I enjoy the south jetty but it can be treacherous especially when wet. For some reason I never thought to fish in this spot.
Hi!! I’m in Westport looking for somewhere I can fish and with easy access. Can you share the address where you fish? I went to the jetty today and it’s such a long walk😂 appreciated!
At the end of the main road taking you to the dock street follow the marina until you reach the very end. The fishing peer is off of that dock entrance. Also anywhere along the rocks in that area.
Thanks for showing how to fillet these rock fish. So you said black rock fish. Is that the same as the rock bass? Or is that a different type? I was going for lingcod and rock bass. But like I said when it comes to salt water fishing I'm just guessing. I'm Good at lake fishing in Minnesota. But never got good at salt water fishing.
Seabass, Black rockfish, rock cod are some of the names people call them. You have to look at the regulations but, I believe that the limit for bottom fish is 7 and with no size limit. Again look up the regulations to best understand them. The Washington State regulations will also have pictures to help you identify the fish that you are catching.
I only go out for up to 4 hours. What I do is pump about 3 to 4 dozen sand shrimp. when the bait runs out I'm done. This is typically done from my boat. On the shoreline I will go for a couple of hours if I'm using rubber jigs and, I go 1 hour before dark.
@@seasonaloutdoorswitherin297 the last couple days we where the best off the dock because we caught the most fish and ton of people where telling us how we kept letting them go every 2 1 cast we caught one or had one and it got off
I tossed back a black rockfish today. I wasn't sure what it was. Was over at the docks about two hundred yards from where you were fishing. I'm not a salt water fisherman so I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Just guessing. It looked like one of those bullhead fish. So tossed it back. It was good size too lol I kept the lingcod though. Well actually we gave it away. But it was only right. The guy helped us get our fishing rod that my girlfriend accidentally tossed down at the rocks under the docks lol 😂
Hello sir. I was wondering if hou.know if the salmon are in the harbor yet?
Great show thank you. Good to see you again

Tate here from work baby! Keep up the good videos!
This isn’t the jetty is it? Maybe by the old CG observation tower? Looks like fun.
It's just the rock fingers by the fishing peer
How long did it take to get those fish
