  • Hey Everyone!! With No train arriving in my time frame on the 18th as it was around 7 hours late. This is the California Zephyr for 3-19-2024.
On this night, There was a pack of Dogs walking unleashed as we pulled into the station so we decided to film from the east side platform. From this angle you can see where i usually stand. We will try to move around more as I realise filming from the same spot can get kinda daunting as a viewer. . its just a great spot to see everything and be out of the way.
On the way in we get the Famous Ollie flash from the engineers compartment. from P42 #139 & followed by #29.
This train is coming in to the Fort at 11:10 pm , 2 hours and 45 mins tardy.
they make a perfect stop right in front of Rachel who doesn't want to be in the way so she comes out around the building. they drop 2 people off and some folks are waving at us in the Viewing Car. I try to capture them but the widows are very reflective in the night. If anyone does come through and would like to be seen please light up a phone or other device so we can see you through the windows its also a special thing on this channel we call a "Light in the night". Weve only had I think 2 in over a year.
With that said and everyone on place The train takes off, as they pass it looks like Matt on the back but im not positive! In any case I hope they have a great rest of their run and I always appreciate the greetings from the Crew up front and from the back. You Guys Rock!
Thats it for us , if that was you in the Window thanks for finding Us and we hope you had a great trip!
please consider hitting the subscribe if ya havent already and the bell and we will see you on the next one!!
Thanks for catching this train with us!
    Jay Rock and Rachel Out!

Jay, I really like this video location better than usual. It shows much clearer and closer the passenger activity both leaving & detraining. As always the trackside & slow motion videos are nice and allow much more detail than original arrival. Appreciate the flash from Ollie also.

Hey Ben! I understand. There's a few reasons we stand where we do instead of here. The first one is When Marne is Filming I would have completely been in his way, in his frame and ruined his video as he stands across the street from where im filming in this. We dont want to bother anyone and most people at night dont care to be recorded. The second reason is because where we are standing in this video, we are right in the way of passenger activity and with it being night time We tend to get a few weirdos and i dont like to deal with that. The 3rd reason is besides right here the only other place with a overhead light for the train is at the dumpster where we normally film. I will try to move around more but the west side is kind of our spot to be out of the way so they can conduct biz. . If there were overhead lights Id just goto the end of my block to film it rather then the station as the tracks run at the end of my block but there is not a light source. Night filming is tricky in general. thanks for the comments.
