Ah, someone understands the Voyager. That thing carried me and my gear to the Generators, and let me haul out all the goods I hunted off of the local monolith that strayed from the lab and all the damn mutants…
A good pair of light armor that the loners have is the salamander and the tigerstripe suits, the salamander gives a really good radiation protection, and the tigerstripe gives good rupture resistance, both have basically the same BR so at that point is on choosing rupture or radiation, though the salamander can be exchanged with sidrovich, with the gp-5 gas mask it basically makes you immune to radiation in the south
Someone else beat me to it, but I'll mention it anyway. I have done a comprehensive enough comparison and this is ideed a standout: Duty PSZ-10l Forest Battlesuit. Great ballistic and rupture protection. 3+1 slots. Carry capacity is low but switching out for artifacts that give weight boosts when needed works well, I lugged a lot of loot around with this. The radiation protection is more than enough, the only time I get irradiated is after removing an artifact from a container or picking one up. A cig or at most two should be enough to remove rad. Though I found one quite early in the game, I haven't seen another one since. Bu that is fitting and just for the suit that this is. Another good choice is the Hybrid Armoured. Good ballistic res, 3+2 slots and 33kg carry capaciy. The radiation res is very low so you need an artifact, meds or cigs/vodka. For general running around, combat, sidequests, etc. this would be a good suit, if you want that extra carrying capacity and the extra slot.
just now got my ISG Nosorog (rhino) exo in the red forest (veteran or experienced isg stalker) right at the entrance into forest from the army warehouses it took me around 3-4 loads to get the suit, but it's finally mine I might be wrong , but DUTY is the best base stats Nosorog, not isg, but it only has 4 attachment slots (highest carry wight, highest rupture res and ballistic)
I am way too late in noticing this, but you miss-marked the Hospital in Outskirts, as it's north of the Laundromat. Recently got my hands on the ISG Nosorog, and honestly I wouldn't have swapped it for my Monolith one (because cool factor) if it wasn't for your video. Thanks a lot, you truly help many people with your videos, me included even though I've already put so many hours into G.A.M.M.A.
I only run exo's if i have the battery experimental PSU infinite power it even goes over the charger 400/300, it charges when you stand still so when youre in combat behind cover, waiting for stamina regen, shopping or talking or looking at the map the suit will charge.
Bro I once saw ISG in the sleeping shack across from the bandit base in Dark Valley and once I saw a single soldier in front of the military base in Agroprom. You would think the international science group of the United Nations would be a little more organized.
I am surprised the Hybrid Armor Suit didn't get a mention. 100% movespeed +33 kg 30% ballistic with 48BR. It is definitely my favorite heavy choice to farm Nosorog
I also wear the Voyager suit to and I have some Kevlar plates and a chimera hide on it as well. I like the many belt slots it has. My brother has the ACE suit for the Mercenaries
Personally found something called a Hybrid Armor armor all around from the Heavy Armor category. If you want an upgrade from the M5-armors that's an option, 5 belt slots, only thing is the lower rupture defense.
I just fixed up a set of that and a Sphere-12 helmet for my ironman Brain Scorcher run. Still terrified of the monolith there, but that should definitely help :)
4:13 I do believe so that in GAMMA the Stealth had been reworked into "the less armor class, the better the stealth". A.k.a. light armor is considerately more useful for being sneaky than Medium/Heavy. It actually works, because it decreases the rate and distance NPC's spot you, which's bonus you can combine with Bushes that give you that bonus too, and obstruct the vision of stalkers, hence they are considered as a texture, that they can't see through. Now for Ghillie suit - it is the only Medium armor that has as much Stealth characteristics as Light or even Non-Repair one. But other then that and looking cool, the only thing that keeps it from unlikelyness of using is its medium resistance to bites and scratches. Because BR rating, and rad/anomaly protection on it sucks. So - if you really wanna stealth, just use Light armor with higher stats and don't bother with the Ghillie. Hurtful, but truth
Also another thing that I found out is that the better the npc stalker rank, the better he can spot you. And I swear some of the guys have increased Detection rate, like Sin or Monolith guys.
I am shocked that you didnt include the Hybrid Armored Suite in this. It is a heavy suit but can be upgraded to 5 Belt slots and has 48BR with 34 Ballistic Dmg Reduction. You get them quite regullarly from stashes and it is my go to suite when i dont have an merc ace suite
The Ghillie does infact provide camoflauge that *does* help reduce visual detection from (stalker atleast) NPC. This may be goofed in Gamma versus base Anomaly but it does work in base Anomaly. It is only a factor though so it isnt some fancy "invisi-suit". This can be shown from the "npc_blindness_koeff = 20" line. Gamma does not directly edit outfit .ltx files so this should still be present in the lcs.ltx file, under gamedata-configs-items-outfits folder, incase you want to look for yourself (and increase/decrease the vanilla 20 value). Again, it is only a factor, so setting it to very high values still (I think) won't make you invisible, just way less easy to detect. Some people say it effects AI detection ONLY when you are not moving, implying it does not effect the velocity_threshold part of the detection formula, possibly explaining why it cannot make you super stealthed. Which actually makes sense considering it is a camoflauge suit meant primarily for longer range engagements and remaining still. So while moving NPCs would still detect you about as quick as usual. In my testing I can attest the ghillie suit does help keep you from being detected as quick visually as long as you remain a modest distance from the NPC and remain still. Of course things like sound, firing your gun and other factors will still give you away just as easily, making it a very limited and "niche" kind of benefit, mostly for long-range snipers engaging at (safely) atleast 100 ingame meters out. Otherwise the concealing effect becomes diminished. This also heavily depends on your setup's settings (if addons or yourself tweaks the m_stalker visual detection values etc etc). Edit: fun fact, you can copy paste this line onto other suits to give them the camoflauge effect if you desire. Not entirely sure if this camoflauge benefits NPC to NPC detection but I believe it does but its literally like never that I see any NPCs wearing a ghillie outfit so I never had the chance to test *that* suit but I made a few suits camoflauged in my 1.5.1 anomaly build and it seemed to help them in detection times versus non-camoflauged NPCs.
Basically a exoskeleton armor will be the best for combat. I recall on my max difficulty run I got my hands on one and coupled with my As-Val Tactical and my Forester kitted K98 I managed to clear the freedom base solo in one run with minimal meds. They really do just turn you into a walking fuck machine
crafting heavy kit with advanced tools isnt that expensive, its definitely worth it for ironman runs (if you get heavy armor drops that is), you can easily get the money by day 2 with a decent amount to spare.
Hey nullmoxy I know you haven’t done a stalker gamma video in a while but would you be able to do a video to explain the different belt slots I know you can use artifacts & mutant pelts but I see a lot of stalker gamma TH-camrs use a lot of the things like the Kevlar plates etc just wondering if those would be better or what works well with what so maybe you could have 1 artifact, 1 pelt & then something like a improved carbon plates
Great list, but to make the advantages and disadvantages more readible, you could make the minuses in red font as opossed to being the same colour as pluses (green) ;), overall great vid tho, thanks for your time.
I would edit this by addiing... use whatever u find. Armors are fairly easy to repair but quite hard to find. Even tho i knew the ACE is kinda the best all around I never found one in one of my playtroughs. However I found a CS4 pathfinder in a stash and it turned out to be a decent alternative. Same with Nosorogs. On one playtrough I didnt find a single one. On the second I found a monolith right at the barrier mission and another on the Legendary UNISG dude at outscirts hospital
While i didnt had any luck getting a isg nos yet, consider me colored when one of Sarcophagus guards dropped almost pristine M.Nosorog out of blue. Honestly it was a worthy gift from blue rock's follower, so i took it. But yeah these are as rare as getting a rare srtifact to spawn
for anyone wondering how to get the merc ace seva suit it is pretty simple, u need to find mercs that wears a seva suit with screen helmets, i get mine killing one merc with that look seva suit but under a coat, i just save spam loot and in the second try it drop te ace suit

Is there a good set of armor and helmet that both have a health regen upgrade? Can't seem to find any. I'm glad to see the Hybrid Suit getting mentioned. Managed to find one in a stash. Got a Ranger Helm to go with it. Would love some health regen to stack with the cozy firepits mod and healing artifacts once I find them.
Can you please specify how upgrades work? The changes they do are not displayed in the % section. Is % of upgrade adds flat (like 5%+22% or rupture resistance) or does it mean the % added but based from the stock characteristics of armor (like added 5% from 22%)
Yes the percentage shown is additive. For example: you have an headgear that says +10% ballistic resistance and a suit that says +20% ballistic resistance, then u get +30% ballistic resistance.
@@IS0LAT0R7 that's clear but what about the upgrades? Do they work the same way or the % of an upgrade is counted in realtion to the present resistance (i mean +5% to current 30% or +5% OF those 30 current 30%)
from what i've found (in lightly modded anomaly), military exo actually has the best starting bullet resistance, for both body and head. nosorogs i've found all have the same bullet resistance, and they are all below the military exo because idk why. alao this is a gamma video and idk if it actually changes the damage formula used for bullets from default anomaly
What’s your opinion on Skat-9 variants? Personally I prefer them over other heavy armors, though only ever having 1 artifact slot I can understand why people don’t often enjoy them.
4:37 HARD disagree! Making heavy repair kit with tier 2 tools TOTALLY IS WORTH IT! Getting all the engridients is easy, simply visiting 3-4 lvl 1 traders, you can get the M50 gas mask with 50% rad protection before visiting radar the first time, and then there you will have almost no hotspots that will be able to overcome your resistance. Hybrid and Nomad suits are also decent mid-game choices.
I've been trying to track this down as I'm getting enough rooble and time into my GAMMA playthrough, but where can I pick up the Wastelander? So far I've only seen the Nomad & Voyager.
My goto armor list, all from duty cause they have best stats it seems :C medium: PS5-9MD (SEVA) heavy: PSZ-9D (SKAT) exo: PSZ-9D (proto exo) and PNB-4UZ (Nosorog) PS: nosorog feels like godmode tbh so I usually stick with the proto exo instead.

Thanks for the video mate ! One question , as a loner i just looted a Monolith Nosorog and im trying to trade it to merchant for a Loner Nosorog but im not finding any merchant willing to do the trade. Do u have a solution ?
I have never tested it but do you just need to tear off the patch for your friendly factions to not see you as enemy? Or will they still obliterate me anyways?
I’m so confused. I am running a Monolith Exoskeleton, not the X-18 one, the regular Monolith Exoskeleton, upgraded at that, and I’m getting absolutely shredded on my save. I set the difficulty at medium/medium so it would feel balanced however I’m just absolutely getting ripped apart like I said. Is that armour just inherently bad or am I doing something wrong? I should also mention not just Monolith rip me apart, even bandits in Cordon will rip through my armour like it’s paper. I’m just at a loss really.
I think you didnt mention it, but the ISG exosuit has ZERO radiation protection. This can be very problematic in some of the later missions of the game, unless you have a very good radiation protection helmet to compensate for it. Otherwise, the Mercenary Ace Scientific Suit should be the main target of any player, until he/she can get his/her hands on a nosorog. This armor is so good for its category, it can easily carry you out through the entire game.

@@franco_a2923 Yeah, yeah, is totally RNG, and it is the crazy type of RNG, the type where one player will get everything in the first try while the other will try dozens of times and won't get nothing, but there are a few things you can do to increase you odds of getting one, if you are willing to do it. The first method is the save scumming. The loot table of enemy bodies is generated in the moment you click to open their inventory, so, if you save before open it, you can keep trying you luck. The problem is not all mercs equiped with glass helmet are also equiped with the ace suit (there are more than one type of armor which the character 3d model is viewed as using the glass helmet). Great reference point for newbies like me, but you could post the detailed stat% for easier comparison with what someone could have in game to see if theres better stuff out there. Also will there be a headgear overview too?
It might have been nice to show the armors' actual stats when showing examples. Saying something has "good ballistic/rupture res" isn't very indicative without the actual numbers. There were probably a lot of honorable mentions to be made too but considering many of the armors in every class are fairly similar stats wise, I can also understand why you didn't mention any.
the duty light pathfinder is definitely worth an honorable mention. It has okay physical protection and some really decent anomaly protection in addition to being light as hell and having 5 slots with upgrade
I am wearing the best non-exo armor in the game and can shrug off small arms fire like it's nothing but why do I die in 3 bites from a skinny little dog? They really need to make weaker mutants less armor piercing.
Hello. It is an unrelated question to the video topic but you seem knowledgable of GAMMA. Do you know which addon/mod that enables those Tarkov lines when player picks up a new weapon/kills an enemy? It really throws me off when i suddenly start shouting the same line with every kill or witnessing a usually no-nonsense duty character giggling like a degenerate when picking up a new gun. If you know which addon on the list to disable so these lines won't play anymore i would be very grateful. Thanks.

the easiest way to get an isg nosorog 100% is in zaton the other large ship where loners like to hang out gets attacked by isg all the time. and 90% of the time there is a guy with a nosorog ,easy to tell by the heavy stomping sound. once u locate him dont kill him but rather drop a quicksave at a nearby campfire or use a mommy token if u play with that ,now just kill him over and over until he drops the suite! its pretty sad that the loot rolls happen when u kill them and not when they are spawned in ,makes it super easy to abuse.

I always set up my base in Zaton, Skadvosk. Managed to get 3 ISG Exos in 20 in-game days total without really going out of my way to farm it.
Are you talking about nosorog?
@@juanitoblogs6574 yess
@@nedys9419did you find them in Ranger station?
You missed the most important suit!
The overcoat. Favourite of bandits everywhere.
just now got my ISG Nosorog (rhino) exo in the red forest (veteran or experienced isg stalker) right at the entrance into forest from the army warehouses
it took me around 3-4 loads to get the suit, but it's finally mine
I might be wrong , but DUTY is the best base stats Nosorog, not isg, but it only has 4 attachment slots (highest carry wight, highest rupture res and ballistic)
Agreed, recently swapped Nosorogs and didn't even have to put any batteries into the new one because of that PSU
@@therealnmsiswhat's the draw back?
The drawback is the charging ability was removed this patch XD
@@nullmoxyLeast this means no more grinding for battery cause i will not be using exoskeletons now
Bro I once saw ISG in the sleeping shack across from the bandit base in Dark Valley and once I saw a single soldier in front of the military base in Agroprom.
@@ArmoredStone Lol I mean... Good luck. I wish I had found a better armor than that when I did that raid still.
Love your ranking videos! Keep it up.
4:20. Damn i'm surprised that gamma doesn't have the ghillie suit overhaul addon...
Basically a exoskeleton armor will be the best for combat. I recall on my max difficulty run I got my hands on one and coupled with my As-Val Tactical and my Forester kitted K98 I managed to clear the freedom base solo in one run with minimal meds. They really do just turn you into a walking fuck machine
crafting heavy kit with advanced tools isnt that expensive, its definitely worth it for ironman runs (if you get heavy armor drops that is), you can easily get the money by day 2 with a decent amount to spare.
yeah finding expert tools is way harder than investing some money in an early heavy toolkit. at some point money is not a problem.
Yep that's how I made my heavy kit, too. While waiting for RNG Gods to find expert tools, I already have more than enough resources to make heavy kit

I only watch this channel for the prowotogen.
Best armour is a ppm88 gas mask with a green turtleneck sweater some jeans hiking boots and a analog watch
The more you know. I need to know more as I am new to Stalker.

Heavy kit with advanced tools is most definitely worth it.

Nice video!
Guys what would you say about Merc SEVA suit combined with a screen helmet in the middle of the game?

Thanks again for your work !
Seems like ghillie didn't change much since Misery 2 when it was introduced...

from what i've found (in lightly modded anomaly), military exo actually has the best starting bullet resistance, for both body and head. nosorogs i've found all have the same bullet resistance, and they are all below the military exo because idk why.
alao this is a gamma video and idk if it actually changes the damage formula used for bullets from default anomaly
GAMMA uses a different ballistic system so it will vary.

What’s your opinion on Skat-9 variants? Personally I prefer them over other heavy armors, though only ever having 1 artifact slot I can understand why people don’t often enjoy them.
They are pretty good.
everyone should craft heavy with advanced, it is not expensive, around 60-100k but huge protection
""Heavy boned"" protogen armor is obviously the best
Welp, now I've watched every video on this channel. 😅
What are your thoughts on the Skat-9?
My goto armor list, all from duty cause they have best stats it seems :C
medium: PS5-9MD (SEVA)
heavy: PSZ-9D (SKAT)
exo: PSZ-9D (proto exo) and PNB-4UZ (Nosorog)
PS: nosorog feels like godmode tbh so I usually stick with the proto exo instead.
Rupture resistance is really useful? because i feel like mutants can take you down with two attacks anyway
PROUD OF YOU, YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im suprised the ghillie suit overhaul isnt already in the game
I got attacked by UNISG outside of the Skadovsk in Zaton and one of them dropped their Nosorog

Is there a reliable way to get a Merc ACE suit?
I have never tested it but do you just need to tear off the patch for your friendly factions to not see you as enemy? Or will they still obliterate me anyways?
If you are disguised as an enemy to your own faction, the will shoot you.
Where can I find exosuit armour repair kits/recipe book for it?
It has a small chance to drop on high ranking stalkers.
Can I ask? Where the best place to try find merc ACE suits?

Huh, Ghillie worked amazingly well for me in Vanilla 1.5.1
Hey please do a tips and tricks video for EFP!
I mentioned at the start i wouldn't be referring to the numbers as they are subject to change. They may be different in the future.
I am wearing the best non-exo armor in the game and can shrug off small arms fire like it's nothing but why do I die in 3 bites from a skinny little dog? They really need to make weaker mutants less armor piercing.
Any notes where to find Merc Ace suit?
Thanks.

When crafting backpacks can you use fabric thats less than 2% durability?
When crafting items, durability does not matter at all.
the easiest way to get an isg nosorog 100% is in zaton the other large ship where loners like to hang out gets attacked by isg all the time. and 90% of the time there is a guy with a nosorog ,easy to tell by the heavy stomping sound. once u locate him dont kill him but rather drop a quicksave at a nearby campfire or use a mommy token if u play with that ,now just kill him over and over until he drops the suite! its pretty sad that the loot rolls happen when u kill them and not when they are spawned in ,makes it super easy to abuse.
to my understanding the loot roll happen when you loot. so you can save while they are already dead and loot them afterward
