Click on Elgato 4K X and make sure you Disable (Turn OFF) windows audio enhancements and/or spatial sound. NOTHING BUT LOVE FUTURE STREAMERS!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊

@@eyedol-handz You forget to mention that to even use wave link to solve the no audio problem in Mac - you have to buy an Elgato mic for the wave link software to even start.

Came here to ask also. Seems they don't care to give an answer. Xbox isn't as huge as PS which sometimes means that developers will treat Xbox gamers as less important. Sometimes with less or older products for XB only and often, like now, blatantly not giving them the same quality of service and support. Has happened to me me than once, in support and feedback for games that might crash or behave weirdly for XB only. In game beta tests, with hardware producers, etc. To me it's pathetic to not treat all your customers the same. But does make it easier to sift through who to boycott and who you can rely on. Not saying that is the case right now and I hope all is on the level. But a question gone unanswered for 5 months does not set a the best of signals.

You *can* use 4K X with a standard USB Type-A port, but these don't always support the full 10Gbps. At mainstream 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1), certain resolution/framerate combinations like 4K60fps in SDR won't be capturable. But you can still play at up to 4K 144hz HDR.

My audio won’t work with my 4K x but my hd60x works perfectly fine. The el gato support have been working with me for weeks and still no sound. I feel like I have wasted my money.
so, how am I supposed to watch stuff if the HDCP is turned off? My old captured card didn't care as long as you weren't using it in obs or anything. This one doesn't let me do that
No one mentioned how I'm supposed to hear sound from PS5 Myself, while discord is streaming. I can't open 4k capture Utility, cause usb device is already being used in Discord

so if the ubc isnt connected from the elgato to the pc at all times then the screen wont show the ps5? because when i dont have it connected i have to remove the hdmis and reconnect them which is just too much hassle
For hooking up the USB Type-c cable to your computer, I know they recommend connecting to a 10 GB/s port (min. 5 GB/s) but would connecting to a 20 GB/s port improve anything?

Hi, I just bought Elgato 4K X today and I hope you can help me with my problem, I did everything I saw on TH-cam. I disable HDCP, I double checked my ports, I change the video frame rate automatic to -1 to -2 but still doesn't detect my PS5 to my monitor also in my 4k Capture utility using usb3.0 too. I also tried to connect my iPad It's working tho I even played Ps5 on iPad. But whenever go to my Gaming PC (monitor) Still doesn't detect my PS5. Do you have any suggestion to fix that issue? Hi everyone, I just bought the elgato 4k X for using my meta quest 3 with ps5. I followed all the instructions, disabled the HDCP on ps5, connect the HDMI from Ps5 to Elgato 4k and the usb from Elgato to Meta quest 3 and I can just hear the sound from the meta quest but the screen is totally black. Someone can help me please

@@hans8228 I just fixed it this morning. You have to enable the audio through wave link and then twitch it to HDMI audio is the capture utility app.

When I add the Elgato as a spruce, the screen stays black. Though on the 4k capture app the cottage is there and live. Anyone know why?

You can still use 4K X connected to a USB Type A port as long as you use a cable rated for 5Gbps speeds.

4K X will still need a computer of some sort to livestream to sites like Twitch or TH-cam.

In order for video to pass from your PS5 to your TV, 4K X needs to be powered by USB-C.

Connecting to a Gen 2 port (20Gbps) would behave the same as 10Gbps since 4K X uses a 10Gbps USB chipset.

So I’m guessing this doesn’t work with Xbox because everytime I try to record it looks like shit and it’s laggy
