Inquisition, you're forced to become figurehead of a holy order and all your choices are fake and force you in the same direction from the very beginning to the very end.
@Shawthentic that's a half truth, they messed up Andromeda themselves because of petty infighting, thinking the other team wanted to "steal" staff from them.
@Shawthentic Mass Effect 2 and Origins were arguably the superior entries and were under EA. Don't get me wrong EA are the worst but Bioware's issue has been well documented. Nearly a decade to make Anthem but it was just pre production and made in less than two years and same for Andramada.

Well this is extremely misleading. The og idea got scar peeps after anthem failed. Mike laidlaw quit. Then the guy with the glasses and beard (who worked on mass effect) and Casey Hudson (who made the first three mass effect games) got brought back on for dragon age. Then Casey Hudson said to not worry they are negotiating with ea. So this project had problems, but ardomeda has a peroson die half through production (the lead) then had a bunch of people quite. Here's how Bioware reclaims the throne. 1. Give DA4 whatever amount of time it needs to simmer to be the grand finale it MUST be for Solas. 2. Complete remaster of the MASS EFFECT trilogy. Updated engine. Completely overhaul the weapons systems in each game to be more like 3, push the narrative to be more in line with 2's sort of grimdark theater. 3. Announce KOTOR 3 w/a full length cinematic and IN-GAME trailer the day the ME trilogy remaster drops. 4. Ascend to godhood...
In regards to point 2: Better system, imo, would be to have the ammo systems of 1, but with the equipping and weapon modification system of 3. Completely agree with shifting the total narrative of the whole trilogy to match up with 2's grimdark theater of fun and death, though.
You do realise Revan wasn’t even in KOTOR 2, right? Besides the KOTOR games and SWTOR game take place in two different universes judging by how much the Revan novel contradicts KOTOR 2. Due to Legends being non-canon they could do whatever they want, without having to worry about the movies.
@@PaulZeroSolis I would be down for that. I liked the ammo system in 1 quite a bit. It was definitely preferable to having the various types of rounds as ability unlocks in the character trees...like...was that 2 that handled it that way?

The people who designed that tactics system are long gone...the new team had their chance to put it in inquisition but failed since they want to appeal to a new audience. Given how disappointing Inquisition turned out to be (fetch quest galore, making crafting mandatory at higher difficulties and making PC mouse and keyboard controls unplayable) and the fiasco that was Mass Effect: Andromeda, I'm already feeling betrayed. I forgave the bad Mass Effect 3 ending due to the massive crunch from being forced to implement multiplayer by EA and their original story being leaked. But Bioware has two major strikes in my book already. And DA4 just sounds like it'll delve into Woke politics...
I mean... they really are. Each release of DA was groundbreaking in different ways, and I really applaud them for trying new things instead of releasing the same game 10 times over like some other companies do. I really think people who hate on the later installments for being "different" have 0 appreciation for game design.
Solas was a friend and became family. I want to save him I think what he did and is doing is wrong but I want to save him from himself even if he doesn't want it.

@@TheOnceandFutureJake Dorian will definately be in this one. It will be in the Tevinter Imperium, and Dorian cannot die in previous games so his appeareance is 99% confirmed.
I don't know much about Anthem, as I've just never cared enough to keep track of it, but don't blame Bioware for Andromeda. EA and various License issues forced them to switch tracks part way through production and rebuild the game in an engine that wasn't suited for it. What we got at the end of their development hell was a buggy, poorly optimised but, in my opinion, enjoyable game.
So this tells us nothing....your "behind the scenes" was just people using buzzwords and vague terms like "you go to new places...and do stuff and things" Oh and can't forget the concept art that almost never reflects the actual game, like oh I don't know...Anthem? Andromeda?
absolutely EVERYTHING is on the line with this game. Hopefully they’ll meet and surpass expectations but if they fail.. BioWare will fall into the pit of abandoned and forgotten studios or meet a fate worse than shut down, Making cash-grab mobile games till they slowly get closed.
Considering them talking of our character being someone without power... Even with the Inquisition disbanded, the Inquisitor already has a reputation so highly unlikely we'll be playing them again, though they'll most likely appear due to epilogue of DAI Trespasser and of course due to connections with the obvious main antagonist. As for hand replacement, considering original concept for Iron Bull had him having a hand cannon and also the Trespasser epilogue slide of Inquisitor hanging out with Sera having a mechanical crossbow, it certainly would be possible for that to be a thing. One thing to note, if we're going to Weisshaupt there is potential for both Hawke (if not sacrificed in DAI) and a 'Dark Ritual' DAO Warden to make an appearance too seeing as Hawke potentially went with the Wardens back to Weisshaupt and previous games hinting at DAO Warden going to Weisshaupt.
@@stronk8107 Only way I could see that happening is with a Dark Ritual Keiran. You have just made me think of how the Well choice could come into play because if Solas took Mythal's soul (and potentially the soul of Urthemiel) then he could technically take command of either the Inquisitor or Morrigan if they got into a fight, depending on who drank from the Well. So we could potentially have a 'Kill Morrigan/Inquisitor' situation.

Yeah you start out as a recruit to the GW, a refugee from ferelden, and a prisoner but ascend to a commander and hero of ferelden, the viscount of Kirkwall or the liberator of the mages, and the inquisitor
Origins was like that, but with II and Inquisition your hero ends up in a position of power or privilege by the second act (Hawke becomes an influential aristocrat, Herald becomes the Inquisitor). I’m guessing DA4 will be a situation where you and your party spend the entire game as adventurers with no actual power or influence over the world- basically imagine Les Miserables with dragons and elves, as opposed to Count of Monte Cristo which was “dude becomes powerful and uses it to help his quest.”
Sanguiluna fair but if you think about that feeling of building up your strength is gone by any of the dlc since you saved the world from the blight by uniting a divided country so you’re already instantly recognizable by anybody with a quarter of a braincell but yeah 2 and inquisition kind of rush the whole hero thing

I skipped Anthem, so I don't feel as betrayed as a lot of the other commenters here. Looking forward to this and quietly optimistic about it. Don't let us down BioWare!
0:52 *"We are very experimental here at BioWare."*
BioWare Montreal: *"You mean we were?"*
2:35 damn that concept art better meet all the thirsty lavellan's requirements
All I want is Kal Shirok. Tevinter can burn, give me the dwarfs.
"We're very experimental here at BioWare" lmao
Lol 😂
I mean... they really are. Each release of DA was groundbreaking in different ways, and I really applaud them for trying new things instead of releasing the same game 10 times over like some other companies do.
I really think people who hate on the later installments for being "different" have 0 appreciation for game design.
"get woke, go broke"
hopefully they finally realized their past mistakes lmao but probably not
Springxnich21 they were very “experimental” with mass effect andromeda and anthem 😂😂
They’re still experimenting with Anthem, and that’s not even a joke
Solas was a friend and became family. I want to save him I think what he did and is doing is wrong but I want to save him from himself even if he doesn't want it.
2:04 so this is a game about working for EA?
I know amazing gameplay trailer right!!?.
lmao
I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for this. I hope they don’t ruin it
ngl they probably will
Poison Damage Ik ☹️
we gotta win game 3 tonight...
Drinwor I guarantee a win tonight
I’m so nervous because I love the series and I don’t want to see it end up like Mass Effect
They just lost all the grittiness of Origins, hopefully they prove me wrong and recapture that magic
I don't see it. This is just concept art. And when I think of origins, Grit isn't the first thing that comes to mind.
@@williamwatson4354 dirt, maybe.
@@williamwatson4354 Eh. I can see it. It was certainly the darkest game so far, and visually is very "Gritty"
Absolutely. Every game since has creeped closer to Peter pan.
Andrew H exactly, the mood in origins was so bleak and depressing. Now it’s like I’m playing in Narnia.
1:47 Well, we found where they got the inspiration for Solas.
😂 damn
I was expecting an EA logo.
I hope they bring back the multiple background begining options, it really adds depth to the story.
Totally agree!!
i mean those did exist in Inquisition just to a lesser extent, and it had no Origin prologue of course -_-
@@skelitonking117 True but it didnt really feel all that immersive unless you read everything on the war table.
Wouldnt say it turned great in DAO. Prologue, my heroes parents get killed, hero barely escapes his family home... days without mentioning it, then when i totally have forgotten about this experience, i meet the guy who betrayed my heroes parents. So much has happened in between that i couldnt care less about his fate. -human noble i think?
What happens when the people in power aren’t willing to address the issues?
Me: oh you mean like in every dragon age game 😂
Well Meredith wanted to address them I guess...
I can definitely see how all those "Long haired characters" will end up with a severe haircut or a shaved head 😆😆😆😆
I want to see DORIAN!!!
@@xxtmoe Well, they've been kinda awful since Origins, to be honest....
And how the fem chars end up with thick lips and flat chests xD I personally hope we see a female qunari and dwarf in the party - and ofc a hot mage :3
Tiffani Have you played DA2 ? Elves were even more skinnier, they looked like they were about to fly away from the slightliest blast of wind.
Even in Origins I find them a bit too small.
@@TheOnceandFutureJake
Dorian will definately be in this one.
It will be in the Tevinter Imperium, and Dorian cannot die in previous games so his appeareance is 99% confirmed.
Brought to you by the same people who made Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda!
Andromeda was developed by BioWare Montreal which was later merged into Motive Studios. Montreal had nothing to do with Anthem.
Who's here after Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah left Bioware?
Wait what? Do you have an article explaining that?
lmao they're jumping off the sinking ship.
Bioware magic? Now I'm skeptical
*me wanting to hope but remembering recent mishaps*
get this right Bioware...show us that the you we knew back in the day is still there somewhere...
I’m so worried for this game but at the same time I’m keeping my expectations low as possible just to save myself the disappointment
So this tells us nothing....your "behind the scenes" was just people using buzzwords and vague terms like "you go to new places...and do stuff and things" Oh and can't forget the concept art that almost never reflects the actual game, like oh I don't know...Anthem? Andromeda?
I swear they released an exact same video for Andromeda. I'm not holding my breath for this one.
Its literally different people telling you its a new story new adventures. New world new monsters. NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW.
@@welldias9668 what's left if dragon age doesnt hit? I'm curious.

absolutely EVERYTHING is on the line with this game. Hopefully they’ll meet and surpass expectations but if they fail.. BioWare will fall into the pit of abandoned and forgotten studios or meet a fate worse than shut down, Making cash-grab mobile games till they slowly get closed.

I didn't much care for collecting shards in DA:I.
Daniel Kaiser I don’t even know what the rewards are cause I never collected them all.
Yo just let me continue my Lavellan. She's got unfinished business.
This!!! I wish :(
@Napo ski Oh I'm sure there are ways around that lol.
They burned me twice before. I'm weary, hopeful but weary
Yeah I'm not making the mistake of pre-ordering this time...
@@Darkdaej No offence but if You pre-ordered Inquisition after the fact that they didn't even care for "some" reason to show PC hud and UI is kind of an idiotic move. I had little hopes for that game, especially after they promised return of isometric view, pause and tactical slots but after they didn't even cared to show it properly along with PC version of ui.. red lamp huge like The Eye of Sauron lighten up over my head. I understood they are not honest and I wasn't wrong since they lied about all that they've said about "return of Origin based gameplay" as an optional for those who wanted it.
@@lxdead5585 Nah, thankfully I didn't pre-order Inquisition. I got it when it was on sale. However I did preorder Mass Effect 3...Heck I took the day off work to binge through the game...
@@Darkdaej That must have been sad. ME3 was probably as big let down as D2. You expected the game to be at least on par with previous instalments in the franchise and You get horrible game :/
@@lxdead5585 Well, the game itself was great. It was the final 30 minutes that pretty much shat the bed.
I really hope they bring the combat back to origins, dai just felt like an offline mmo.
It looks like action combat in the video.
I loved the combat style in DAi much more than in origins
Just want to say how much I appreciated Gareth's voice acting
DAO - Hero of Fereldan
DA2 - Champion of Kirkwall
DAI - The Inquisitor
DA4 - "When this is all over, what will they call you?"
Definitely preferred the more tactical combat in Origins. Hope they bring that back (with some refinements).
It was kind of a slog in origins but yeah tactical combat seems genuinely enjoyable done correctly
no
I honestly couldn’t get through Origins. It was just too stiff for me.
MsBananahsplit if the combat was improved it’s be a lot more popular I ber
And the executions
Well, I can't front..."For the wardens!" ...that got me. I hope redemption is nigh...

Just keep Warden Davrin away from any airlocks
"What happens when people in charge aren't willing to address the issues."
wait, isnt it how all the dragon age games begins? when you, unknown hero of future, start from the bottom to ascend for some position of power to be defender of something? wtf bioware?
I was thinking more along the lines of Mass Effect 1 and the Council.

"We want characters to be either loved or hated"
Well they nailed the latter part that's for sure.
Solas is hands-down my favourite character in any Dragon Age game, and I almost don't *want* to have to fight him, but how can I be expected to resist a AAA high-fantasy next-gen video game? Take my money!
Solas is an improved version of ANDERS.
