We've never actually encountered the real original Flemeth. It was always a fusion of her and whatever was left of Mythal, a new entity (in fandom some call her Flemythal). And SPOILERS BELOW according to developer notes, at the end of Inquisition Flemythal sends Mythal's essence (though Flemythal herself admitted that they are inseparable) through an eluvian to Morrigan who apparently accepts it and now we have a fusion of Morrigan and Mythal. Dunno about Flemeth, maybe her "part" has been destroyed once Solas took her powers?

Vividly remember playing Inquisition with my dad back when I was about 12 (a year or so after it came out)- he passed a bit more than two years ago, so it feels very strange to finally see the next game emerge. Looking forward to playing now as a young adult!

This is such a strange sequel for me.. Between Inquisition and The Veliguard, I quite literally became an adult, went to college, and made a life for myself… This game will definitely bring back many memories and hopefully give me the Dragon Age nostalgia I’ve been looking forward to

Do Origins + Awakening. Awakening is even better than base game since more compact in the right way. Most other DLC is meh. Do Dragon Age 2 if you cant get enough but be prepared for the shortcomings. Mostly lack of map and enemy variety. Works as a foil to Inquisitions bloat.

@@davidortiz3094 Hero of Ferelden would be pretty hard to incorporate into the story. For one, they weren't voiced, so no matter what the voice is there will be people complaining (they also don't really have established 'personalities' unlike Hawke, so people would complain about writing). Also, you already have to recreate your Inquisitor in the character creator, so we'd spend days in it if we had to make our HoF as well lol. Same thing with Hawke, the less people we gotta make in the character creator the better.
Actually, it was just because she wasn't asked (back in 2022, I think?) at that stage in production yet to come back. My guess is that Morrigan was a bit of a late addition to the game, in a "well, it seems appropriate to put her in" kind of way.

I left Hawke behind in the Fade and bawled my eyes out for half an hour. Even if we don't see whoever we chose to leave behind in Inquisition, I am still holding on to two things I noticed during Here Lies the Abyss... 1, the exact wording was "will LIKELY" die", not "will certainly die". And 2, we never actually saw who we left die. So if they happen to make any kind of cameo I will probably lose my shit.
I read they originally planned to have the choice between the Hero of Ferelden be an option instead of Stroud. If the Hero were an Amell it would have been an interesting argument with Hawke, the cousin.
It may be a good game, I don't know. But Dragon Age is supposed to be dark, bloody. What in the Raid Shadow Legends is this? Cartoony, mobile looking UI, the list goes on. Poor Dragon Age... I guess I'll try it when it gets in GP Ultimate.

@@tyleroberg9986 the art style is the same as inquisition, only instead of the green they went purple. Which makes sense considering it’s the same engine. The style of Inquisition however was set in motion by the radical changes of Dragon Age 2, compared to Origins. For people who expect a gritty brown type of dark fantasy, well it hasn’t been like that since the first game. Which is fine imo. It would have gotten old. Dark Fantasy isn’t about the color of a setting or an obvious spelled out “darkness”. The Blood and Wine dlc of the Witcher 3 proved that a dark fantasy can be much more subtle. Imo “darkness” is much more sinister when it’s hiding in the light. As for the UI, yeah it looks terrible, but so was the UI for Inquisition and I still loved the game regardless. I guess we’ll see how everything comes together in the end, but I try to stay openminded about it without focusing only on the negatives, especially considering that the previous installments had plenty of flaws of their own.

Vividly remember playing Inquisition with my dad back when I was about 12 (a year or so after it came out)- he passed a bit more than two years ago, so it feels very strange to finally see the next game emerge. Looking forward to playing now as a young adult!

This is such a strange sequel for me.. Between Inquisition and The Veliguard, I quite literally became an adult, went to college, and made a life for myself… This game will definitely bring back many memories and hopefully give me the Dragon Age nostalgia I’ve been looking forward to

Do Origins + Awakening. Awakening is even better than base game since more compact in the right way. Most other DLC is meh.
Do Dragon Age 2 if you cant get enough but be prepared for the shortcomings. Mostly lack of map and enemy variety. Works as a foil to Inquisitions bloat.

@@davidortiz3094 Hero of Ferelden would be pretty hard to incorporate into the story. For one, they weren't voiced, so no matter what the voice is there will be people complaining (they also don't really have established 'personalities' unlike Hawke, so people would complain about writing). Also, you already have to recreate your Inquisitor in the character creator, so we'd spend days in it if we had to make our HoF as well lol. Same thing with Hawke, the less people we gotta make in the character creator the better.

Actually, it was just because she wasn't asked (back in 2022, I think?) at that stage in production yet to come back. My guess is that Morrigan was a bit of a late addition to the game, in a "well, it seems appropriate to put her in" kind of way.

If Hawke comes out or Alistair at any point of the game I will be pausing and give myself 10 mins to cry.
I left Hawke behind in the Fade and bawled my eyes out for half an hour. Even if we don't see whoever we chose to leave behind in Inquisition, I am still holding on to two things I noticed during Here Lies the Abyss... 1, the exact wording was "will LIKELY" die", not "will certainly die". And 2, we never actually saw who we left die. So if they happen to make any kind of cameo I will probably lose my shit.

I read they originally planned to have the choice between the Hero of Ferelden be an option instead of Stroud. If the Hero were an Amell it would have been an interesting argument with Hawke, the cousin.
The devs confirmed that the choice of who was left behind in the Fade in DAI will not be present in The Veilguard but maybe games after it

@@tyleroberg9986 the art style is the same as inquisition, only instead of the green they went purple. Which makes sense considering it’s the same engine. The style of Inquisition however was set in motion by the radical changes of Dragon Age 2, compared to Origins.
For people who expect a gritty brown type of dark fantasy, well it hasn’t been like that since the first game. Which is fine imo. It would have gotten old. Dark Fantasy isn’t about the color of a setting or an obvious spelled out “darkness”. The Blood and Wine dlc of the Witcher 3 proved that a dark fantasy can be much more subtle. Imo “darkness” is much more sinister when it’s hiding in the light.
As for the UI, yeah it looks terrible, but so was the UI for Inquisition and I still loved the game regardless. I guess we’ll see how everything comes together in the end, but I try to stay openminded about it without focusing only on the negatives, especially considering that the previous installments had plenty of flaws of their own.
