I haven’t finished the video but I wanted to stop to say that I completely understand your feeling after doing the big chop. I did the big chop four years ago, and I did like you did, I didn’t finish fully transitioning because I felt that I needed to just take the plunge. It took me two years to get over the self-hatred and thinking that no one wanted me because I no longer had hair to style in my opinion, but now I love myself more than ever and I can’t stop cutting it 😂 when it comes time for a trim I’m like oh I don’t care how much has to go, been there before and I’m still beautiful! I’m glad that you did this and I wish you the best on this journey. Also I’m a long time viewer so I’m seriously rooting for you 😊

Going natural was the best decision I have ever made for my hair and life! I felt so free and that first shower without not having to worry about getting it wet made me cry! Since that chop I have chopped it off again three times. Now I love having short hair! Plus being a black women and being able to feel so beautiful with our natural hair is so BEAUTIFUL You look absolutely beautiful btw

Perfect timing for doing new. I admire you so much! I did this once and after crying awhile I began to get into watching people react. Some were all “oh Why did you?You had such gorgeous hair. Well I know now how little they support me. You are so lovely and truthful. When I chopped my hair I felt naked and exposed and that’s what my character needed.
Short hair gives us chance to experiment with who we are. Like if we hide behind the hair we deal more with where we want to be.

If I could offer any advice, it would be to not buy an entire store's worth of hair products. Just buy your basics (oils, conditioners, gels, etc), try them for a while, and swap out as necessary.
I have short hair and sometimes I can feel like a “boy” too. You totally don’t and no one does, it’s just our relationship to hair and being feminine. But I like cute hair accessories, like hair bands and clips. Adds a little sparkle

I love your curls ! I felt the same way after my big chop so I’ve been wearing knotless braids or protective styles and then rocking my TWA in between for maintenance until my hair is a good length to try other protective styles (ponytails,buns etc.)

I love the short cut on you looks good on you I didn't big cop when I went natural I just didn't think it would suit my face. I transitioned would do big trims every six months until it was grown out can't wait to see you're journey stick with it it can be frustrating at times but as you get length and can do more things with you're hair you'll love it.

I just got into miss Jessie’s products. Target had that bogo so I tried the jelly soft curls and mixed it with the original wetline gel and Cantu cream and I finally got my wash n go down. It does take time to find what works for your hair
