I'm back hitting Goodwill locations to find treasures! Today I am on the hunt for a BUNDT CAKE PAN so I can make my husband, Jesse, a special birthday cake from his childhood 🥳 How many goodwill stops do you think it will take to find one? 😆 And how could I pass up on so many great thrifted finds while I'm on the hunt 😄 What a great #thrifthaul today!

Me too - I'm always amazed at the quality and quantity of items.
Same!!! The amazing things she finds at Goodwill in Washington & Oregon is awesome. We definitely just have junk or damaged stuff in the ones around here.
@@ccsimonds9590 I swear the damaged stuff starts at $3.99 and that's usually Dollar store crap. It's insane.
Omg she finds some goodies but believe it or not, Flint, MI has some of the best goodwills and Salvation Army stores around. Plus we have St. Vincent De Paul and habitat restore. People never believe when they see my house that it was all thrifted. Well 95% except for electronics.
Your Bundt pan is a jello mold. Bundt pans are deeper and have a center tube like structure. No doubt, the cake was still delish!
SEF- you are right. I use my Bundt pan mostly for monkey bread
@@barbaraploetz1004 I haven't had monkey bread in years! Oh my gosh, that sounds so good on a rainy day like I'm having today, but that means I have to go to the grocery store. Ugh!
The color of your blouse really brought out the color of your eyes.
OK Laura....this is downright freaky. I also have been on the hunt for a Bundt pan, but they are so expensive in the stores. I was making a trip to drop off donations today at Savers so I thought I would go in and see if they had a Bundt pan. I scored a real heavy duty beauty and it was marked $4.99. The best part is today is senior day and you get 30% off everything in the store, so I got my pan for only $3.50!

I could kick myself for not having kept my Mom's bundt pan.
When the cake mix says add water I always add milk or buttermilk. It makes the cake taste homemade!

Those blue glasses I registered for at my wedding in 1972! They were in place of Crystal...... they were not expensive. Maybe $12. Each and were from Czech. I’ve never seen any more since!

That set of blue goblets are from Noritake and the pattern is "Spotlight"... I used to have a complete set of these in the Walnut brown color. They have a great feel in the hand, don't they? Nice and substantial!

You have such an amazing ability to group decorative items into gorgeous displays; when i try that, it looks either blah or terrible! I would never have thought of buying a lot of what you buy bc Idk what to do with them. Plz show more of your various displays (or more house tours) -- they give me ideas (and hope! Lol.)

Those 1970s boots bring back memories. I remember my mom buying me a pair from a shoe store on "The Hill" in Boulder, CO back in the '70's. I'm not sure I could even wear them comfortably because of my muscular calves, but I wanted them so badly! I think we called them engineer's boots or something like that. :)

I now work 10 minutes from home and don’t have good thrift store near me. My mom has since passed, but I grew up having strawberry cake that my mom made for me for my birthdays and my family joked about it for years because it is still my favorite cake and reminds me of the better aspects of my childhood (I was raised by a single mom after family trauma).
I have never encountered anyone else who has a story like this. Today is actually my bday and I was binging some thrifting inspiration before we head out and this video was recommended. My husband made me the infamous strawberry cake during lockdown and it is still one of my most treasured memories. Thank you for sharing this as it really made my day and I am sure that Jesse still looks back on that fondly, too. ❤️

I live in the UK and miss the goodwill fix! Although I do stroll through the charity shops, but they are tiny! I resell as a hobby - to help my shopping habit ha! One day I will brave the camera and film my treasure hunt! Keep them coming!

Went to our goodwill for the first time since pre-pandemic... sooooo disappointed. Junk. The shelves were pretty empty. They had literally things from the dollar store marked $3.00. I watch the stores you go to and admire! We do not have anything like that at our Goodwills herein the Northeast. I would be so over-the-moon to see what you see. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you! 🙏🥰🤪
Don't feel bad, Linda, they stink here in SW Ohio too. Broken stuff, empty shelves, prices same or higher than what it would be new...we watch these shows and get all pumped up, then go to our own stores and it's just a big let down. The Dollar Trees seem to be much the same...its like their trucks "run out" of stuff the farther east they get. I might just have to pack up the truck and road trip to Oregon this summer.

my heart did a flutter when you picked up that gold Syroco pheasant.... I have two pairs of the copper colored ones. My most treasured thrifted finds and I didn't find them at the same time or at the same thrift store. I found my first pair about 4 years ago and stumbled across the second pair this past February.
