Based on the fact that metal Sonic is the metal Sonic from when silver went back in time to Sonic 3 and knuckles but silver couldn't have gone back the second time because everything is still bad so that means silver is in a different timeline than then he was before he started time traveling
How did mecha get off the island, why is he still headset on revenge and proving himself? There is no reason the events of scrapnik island should have changed.
@@tntsonic7482 No when Shadow is released, he didn’t recognize Silver like what he did in the past with Shadow created a new timeline. That’s what I got from the writing. So Mecha Sonic confuses me as if Silver created a new timeline with Shadow, how does Mecha recognize him. Heck, how did Sonic recognize him, did he travel into the alternate future of the new timeline he created? Or did something happen with Shadow that caused the, I guess, ptsd. And whatever that was is what caused him to forget about Silver, or it causes him so much pain that he has a hard time recognizing him as that was a very minor moment in his life?
@SilverAmyKnux So this is weird and I can barely wrap my head around it as well. I'm not sure how to explain it but there's like multiple timelines in this what if that are simular to each other. I would need to make an image or something to explain it. Just know that in the current future the events of part 1 and 2 happend in the past of this timeline. The Shadow from part 3 travels back to the present to create another timeline whilst Silver travels back to the future of the timeline he already affected. (The future of that timeline is effectively identical to the future of part 1). As with Shadow I'm kinda leaving things up to interpretation on how things went with him. He has severe ptsd so he might not remember anything. I'm gonna say there's 3 timelines in this what if? 2 of them are very simular to each other. Sorry if this is confusing. That's just what happens with time travel logic.

Sonic and Tails died before it could happen. They died when Iblis was released since this is the future timeline.

Silver met Mecha Sonic in part 2 and Shadow wasn't even with Silver at this point. He was collecting other chaos emeralds.
