- This is a 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid SE AWD Sedan. This car comes as part of the updated lineup for 2023 adding new trim lines. The base model LE starts at just $21,700 and the Hybrid SE AWD we have here is priced at $30,388 including delivery, processing, and handling. The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in the world, selling 1.12 million units in 2022 and well over 50 million units since its introduction in 1966. Looking at it, you can see the compact size makes for easy parking, parts are relatively cheap, maintenance is low, and, most importantly, affordable.

Great car, great value. Just bought one and it greatly exceeded expectations.
Did you pay 30k for it? That sounds steep for a compact
It's a low poke on hyw
@@MR1977. The cheapest I have seen one go for after taxes and fee is 29k which is a lot for a Corolla. At that point, you are edging into Camry territory and in Prius territory. So at the end of the day, its what you can find with how inventory is currently.
we just bought one brand new and talked the dealer down to 27k for 2024 corolla awd hybrid se @@MR1977.
I paid $35,000 Canadian including all fees and taxes in Calgary, AB
I knew he would say 6 feet. Almost all car reviewers say they are 6 feet. They could be 5 foot 8, and they would say 6 feet.
“I’m about 6 feet and I have-“
“NAHHHH bro you are 5’9 don’t hide it King”
I’m 6’3 and I got comfortable in it
Well done detailed review. Keep up the good work. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Appreciate the detailed video!
This is an excellent video!
this dude needs to start his own channel, hes so good at reviewing cars
Nice review thank you
The video was nicely done.
Great video 👍
Great review! Thank you.
Could you please compare the 2024 and the 2023 Hybrid models?
We got one today but not the all wheel drive though its super nice!
"B" gear is good for snowy climates. A way to slow down without braking.
finaly! the corolla is looking good!
I’m waiting and hoping they updated with monitor in a molded dash. Same w Rav 4.
Thank you for the info. I heard that that car is a bit noisy if you are outside of the vehicle with the engine running. My gf went for a test drive and when they drove up with the car she noticed that is was noisy. (She also tried the cross hybrid and said it wasn't as noisy.)
looking at buying one. anyone have experience with the awd in snow? ive seen mixed reviews, some showing the awd not kicking in properly during some tests despite the front wheels not having traction. Im more tempted to go for a subaru as i live in WI.
I was in contact with 4 Toyota dealers in Calgary, AB as of the first week of 2024. Only one dealership offered me an Out-the-Door price of $34,800 for a Corolla Hybrid SE AWD but I have to put down $1,000.00 refundable deposit. I may have to wait 6 or more months until a car is allocated to the dealership. The total price listed on the Toyota Canada website for the Corolla Hybrid SE AWD is $35.400.91
So I'm looking at $600 savings but a massive $34,800.00 dollar expense.
What is the point if you can't buy it at Toyota MSRP. Dealers are asking much more than MSRP. They are installing some dubious dealer packages and charging big dollars. They are also charging $450 dealer processing fee.

I’ve been waiting for the 2023 le AWD since July 2023 in Calgary Canada. My dealer said I should have it by March 2024. Fingers crossed 🤞

@@dproulx222 yes, it’s a long wait for the Corolla. I’m paying $31,000 all in for the hybrid LE AWD and had to put a $2,500 refundable deposit down. Based on all the reviews the car should be worth the wait 🤞

$31,000 out-the-door is below MSRP..
or
Did you have to pay $31,000 + $2,500?
Is it really worth the price difference vs the cheaper standard gasoline version? If driving an average of only up to 1000 miles every month?
Well I thought about it as it’s only a few thousand more and if you have it for a long time it will quickly pay off. I believe I did the math and it saves almost a grand every year
@@Chloe-jx8byI did the math too and $1000/year is close enough for a 40 mile/day commuter. The more expensive your gas the quicker it pays off. So if it’s $5k more, after 5 years you’ve recouped the value.
also if you are financing it. The car payment plus monthly gas payment will be cheaper than the car payment plus monthly gas payment with the non hybrid corolla. So you don't even have to own it necessarily for 5 years to start saving money.
And used hybrid cars from Toyota are always more expensive on the market. So if one day you want to sell the car, you will have more money for the hybrid one
So it is worth it to pay a small premium to get the hybrid one
I just put a deposit for this exact model in Canada.... MSRP
Hybrid does not use a CVT, yes you mentioned the correct term ECVT but you said it uses rubber band, incorrect. This is an electric transmission, no bands used. You keep mentioning “lower gears”, it has only two gears, first and the rest.
Марка двигателя какая подскажите пожалуйста!??)
Toyota робить двигун
Why is this car so expensive?
Made in Japan Case closed
That highway noise is too much! I really don’t think adding a few foam pads would add much weight or cost that much money. I wonder if the XLE trim has dual pane windows or acoustic windshield. I get Toyota wants you to buy a Lexus but this is just poor design.
I bought one and found the highway noise was fine. Sure it’s not your tires?
It's not a CVT and it has more torque (105lbs. is ICE only) Please get your facts right.
What the hell are you talking about low profile 18's cheap... idk what hole you been living in for 15 years but they have always been spendy course all tires are now...
your logic on the tires is complete wrong lol
If you are above 5'10 get a corolla over the prius!!!
the new prius has a low roof now too so can't really do that either. You will just have to get used to the low roof line of either car.
@MB-jz3uu I'm saying the prius has an even lower roof. I got the corolla hybrid as I was constantly hitting my head in the prius. I'm a Toyota salesman so I had plenty of time in both cars 👍
@@Master-Baiter Which car do you believe is more quite on the highway? And would the LE Corolla be less noisy with the SE given its smaller wheels and more side profile on the tire? Thanks!
There is one big problem with this Toyota. It will keep driving just about forever. Won't you get bored with it after 10 years???
Just trade it in but I just got a 2024 hybrid yesterday for my new daily love it so far !
@@Xeynrt Now, you are cooking with gas!!! Good job!
The rear camera is soooo bad. Even it hasn't the moving lines on it.
Mine does..?
