I wasn’t reading panel x panel because I was saving money and each issue came with a title I wasn’t reading, but I am reading Mister Miracle (and absolutely loving it) so I diced to give no. 4 a try. I can now say this is a perfect magazine which each article i feel at home, all the collaborators and you are doing an amazing job, I have no doubt that the other issues are also this well done. Seriously, thanks for this magazine, I (like Mister Miracle) absolutely love it

such a great series. I don't think I need to worry about spoilers now. Darkseid eating Veggies and ranch was hilarious. I could really relate to the this having had one Hell of a concussion when I was young, I kinda sorta had "flash backs " to it.
I'd love to see Webtoon comics analyzed like Space Boy. It's a totally different format where it's hard to tell how far along you are, so 9 panel structures feel a little irrelevant.
If one of the more common theories is true - that this is all fake and that Scott's suicide from issue #1 was an attempt to escape the control of Darkseids anti-life equation - I think the 9 panel grid conveys this perfectly. The rigid uniformity of the layout conveys a sense of order in and of itself; as you said, it's easy to think of jail cell bars. I hadn't really paid attention to the colour palette around Forager until you pointed it out here. It's almost as if he's an intrusion to the world around Scott, and then Lightray shows up to eliminate him and restore order. If that theory turns out to be true, I'd love to see King and Gerads switch the page style up once Scott inevitably breaks free of Darkseids control. A return to the modern aesthetic of unique page/panel layouts and a more vibrant colour palette to contrast what had come before. Obviously that's just speculation at this point, we are months away from knowing the full story, but the idea of the panel layout telling it's own little tale is charming to me.
