That, plus the fact that AI _relies_ on us in order to replicate human-made art. If people were to stop making art, AI would have nothing to base off of, and so it couldn't create anything new.
@@yes-fd3iv actually this is funny cause there's a law in place that stops it from being allowed to be copyrighted because at one point a drawing by a monkey tried to be copyrighted but it couldn't because the court ruled a human has to be involved for copyright to be in place so now ai can't be copyrighted
@@yes-fd3iv People have actually been fighting to keep art-generating sites from using drawings in datasets without asking the artist first. It's dangerously close to art theft, if not well past that line, and there's a good amount of sites that knowingly use copyrighted art to train their AIs. I'm an artist myself, and I _definitely_ wouldn't want someone to use my art without my say-so to create a program that can essentially copy what I do, and sell it commercially. Especially since some sites allow you to put in an artist's name and generate images derived from their specific style. Every art style is different, so it's not unlike theft or plagarism. Still, regulations might be made in the future, and I highly doubt AI will cause paid commissions to become obsolete. It might instead just end up becoming a tool to give a rough visualization of an idea you may have, before you go ahead and pay money for a human-made commission. Something like that. AI requires real art to exist, otherwise the former doesn't have any reference to base generations off of.

My biggest problem with AI art is apparently people were creating art and claiming it was created by them or a bigger artist and selling that art under different names and stealing money from actual artists and replicating their art.
As an artist I'm fine with ai as long as: - people don't claim they drew/made the image, - if they use a custom ai they credit the artists they use, - people aren't able to copyright ai generated images, - people don't profit of of ai images. Seriously it's that easy, but crypto bros really think they have ascended by using ai, you ain't special, just act like a normal human being.
The reason why I don’t like ai isn’t because of ai it’s mainly cuz artists are already under appreciated in the industry and now people just use ai being able to make art as more of a reason why they should be 💀

Why should people own art in the first place, though? Artists can earn compensation for their work in other ways, like through commissions. The idea that art can be stolen has always been so strange to me. Isn't the whole point to show it to people? Isn't art meant to be art for its own sake, not just a product to be sold? If anything is being undermined here, it's the integrity of the art being "stolen," since it's being treated as mere property. Now that I think about it, between this debacle, pharmaceutical patents, and the monopolization of media IPs, the concept of intellectual property is really problematic in this day and age.

Comissions are comissions, and that's a while other issue. When art is 'stolen', it's more like someone takes something you spent a long long time working on, puts it up in their house, and says 'I made this!' when they, in fact, did not. People taking credit for shit I did HURTS. It makes me angry. And people are doing it on a grand scale to artists online. Its not ALWAYS a finanical thing, it's a credit thing. Its an AI analyzing someone's personal art style to color in or make art based on it without permission, and then someone claiming that art is theirs. That's the stealing part. I get that it may not make TOTAL sense to a presumably non-artist, but when online artists thrive on exposure and credit so they can get a following and portfolio for their work, credit makes the difference between making rent and not sometimes.
@@gavinwilson5324 Boy (or whatever you identify as), I made the art to show you, yes, but that does not mean you get to take my style or the art itself and say you made it. That's the problem. If people can make art in someone else's style basically for free with no effort, then the artist makes no money, even if they do commissions, because no one buys them. AI art in and of itself is pretty cool, but the moment our livelihood is at stake we have a problem. Also, yeah, if I make a picture, that picture is mine unless I sell it, the same way a chair is the carpenter's unless he sells it. Art is property, it just happens to be property a lot of people like looking at.

Can’t get commissions and jobs if people don’t know that your the person behind the art they’re interested in. I presume that saying you own the art means that either you’ve created it, or someone else created it and gave the commercial license (or something) to you. Other companies can’t use the Disney logo or likeness of mickey mouse on their studio because Disney owns the logo and artwork of the character.
I had lost hope. Just rewatching and rewatching all her videos, hoping she would come back. For months I always checked up on her channel, hoping there was a brand new video. But then one day, she came back. Tabbes you are my inspiration for everything, you are literally the one that encouraged me to pick up my life, thank you.

A long ago the animation community lived together in armony, then everything changed when the TH-cam guidelines attacked.. Only Tabbes, master of dark humor could stop them But when the community needed her the most she vanished.. But she has came back! Fun fact, in Lyon (France), there was half a class who wrote their engeneering assignment using ChatGPT and they have been busted, but there's nothing which can stop them from using a third party device to write their stuff as of now. Basically they all got an average grade but yeah, pretty cool

That, plus the fact that AI _relies_ on us in order to replicate human-made art. If people were to stop making art, AI would have nothing to base off of, and so it couldn't create anything new.
@@yes-fd3iv actually this is funny cause there's a law in place that stops it from being allowed to be copyrighted because at one point a drawing by a monkey tried to be copyrighted but it couldn't because the court ruled a human has to be involved for copyright to be in place so now ai can't be copyrighted
@@yes-fd3iv People have actually been fighting to keep art-generating sites from using drawings in datasets without asking the artist first. It's dangerously close to art theft, if not well past that line, and there's a good amount of sites that knowingly use copyrighted art to train their AIs.
I'm an artist myself, and I _definitely_ wouldn't want someone to use my art without my say-so to create a program that can essentially copy what I do, and sell it commercially. Especially since some sites allow you to put in an artist's name and generate images derived from their specific style. Every art style is different, so it's not unlike theft or plagarism.
Still, regulations might be made in the future, and I highly doubt AI will cause paid commissions to become obsolete. It might instead just end up becoming a tool to give a rough visualization of an idea you may have, before you go ahead and pay money for a human-made commission. Something like that. AI requires real art to exist, otherwise the former doesn't have any reference to base generations off of.
yea we can tell the diffrences between AI and human work but what I see the benefit of AI is at least I Dont have to wait for days or months to get an image Ive been wanting NOW so... I LOVE AI

My biggest problem with AI art is apparently people were creating art and claiming it was created by them or a bigger artist and selling that art under different names and stealing money from actual artists and replicating their art.

- people don't claim they drew/made the image,

- people aren't able to copyright ai generated images,
- people don't profit of of ai images.

I like the tabbes take on AI art seeing that even if it’s a thing that doesn’t stop people from drawing I think my only problem is how the generators basically steal art from other artists to feed into the algorithm and allows people to steal the styles of artists and passing it off as their own

nah,we all smashed that "i agree button",but even when AI isn't using copyright material the results are the same,and that's without saying that AI is not copying art but referencing to make new art,so it falls under fair use.

I do wanna point out that the main issue artists have with ai is that people are using it to steal art and undermine artists' creative/intellectual property. I don't mind AI however it's unregulated and has led to crime. that's just my 2 cents.

Why should people own art in the first place, though? Artists can earn compensation for their work in other ways, like through commissions. The idea that art can be stolen has always been so strange to me. Isn't the whole point to show it to people? Isn't art meant to be art for its own sake, not just a product to be sold? If anything is being undermined here, it's the integrity of the art being "stolen," since it's being treated as mere property. Now that I think about it, between this debacle, pharmaceutical patents, and the monopolization of media IPs, the concept of intellectual property is really problematic in this day and age.

It isn't about money exclusively. Comissions are comissions, and that's a while other issue. When art is 'stolen', it's more like someone takes something you spent a long long time working on, puts it up in their house, and says 'I made this!' when they, in fact, did not. People taking credit for shit I did HURTS. It makes me angry. And people are doing it on a grand scale to artists online.
Its not ALWAYS a finanical thing, it's a credit thing. Its an AI analyzing someone's personal art style to color in or make art based on it without permission, and then someone claiming that art is theirs. That's the stealing part. I get that it may not make TOTAL sense to a presumably non-artist, but when online artists thrive on exposure and credit so they can get a following and portfolio for their work, credit makes the difference between making rent and not sometimes.
@@gavinwilson5324 Boy (or whatever you identify as), I made the art to show you, yes, but that does not mean you get to take my style or the art itself and say you made it. That's the problem. If people can make art in someone else's style basically for free with no effort, then the artist makes no money, even if they do commissions, because no one buys them. AI art in and of itself is pretty cool, but the moment our livelihood is at stake we have a problem. Also, yeah, if I make a picture, that picture is mine unless I sell it, the same way a chair is the carpenter's unless he sells it. Art is property, it just happens to be property a lot of people like looking at.

Can’t get commissions and jobs if people don’t know that your the person behind the art they’re interested in. I presume that saying you own the art means that either you’ve created it, or someone else created it and gave the commercial license (or something) to you.
Other companies can’t use the Disney logo or likeness of mickey mouse on their studio because Disney owns the logo and artwork of the character.

I'm imagining somewhere in the near future there was an ai uprising and a small group of people are fighting for freedom and during each skirmish between the androids and the rebellion you just see tabbes sitting in the corner eating some popcorn and watching it unfold with a smile.
