As a JROTC Staff Sergeant instructor, i can confirm that this is 100% accurate, the screaming, marching in rain or 90 degree weather, all of it, it was period 3 on day on a tuesday and the cadets had to scream out our company motto, my mind was like "RIP my friend having a math test next door" then we had to scream our guts out at PT. So this is more and accurate and great video.
Currently in NJROTC, and yea we do a bunch of yelling. Actually, we just had our AMI inspection today as well, passed with flying colors 💯

Hello 👋
I was in Air Force JROTC during my sophomore year and actually enjoyed it. It was pretty much how it was described here. I actually remember one of the last days of the school year, we were removing rank insignia and such from all the turned in uniforms while watching Full Metal Jacket. That was a good day.
Obviously didn't take all the lessons to heart.
I’m a sophomore and it’s my first year doing Air Force Jrotc

Full Metal Jacket is an excellent movie but it was not designed to be entertaining for you while you watched it.
As an Army vet, this was surprisingly wholesome to watch. If you ever pursue ROTC in college, please make a video about it 😂
You'll do similar stuff, but also throw in balancing other classes and doing field training every week. And instead of just wearing the rank in a garrison setting, you actually will takes turns in every role from a commander to a basic joe in simulated combat exercises. But you also get to do some cool random stuff too, like when my peers and I rappeled down the highest building on compass.

I watched this before I joined JROTC thinking it was just an exaduration, now I realize it’s completely accurate. I’ve been in the Program for almost a year now and it’s a fun experience with a lot of benefits (mainly military career options and college opportunities). Unlike Tabbes I’m in Air Force JROTC, not army, but yeah it’s fun no matter what branch you’re in. But just take note that that even thoug there are a lot of positions and teams in the program, it’s not for everyone which is understandable. You have to give up a bit of your individuality because the customs are quite strict (because it’s essentially a military academy in your school.) If You’re afraid of not being physically fit enough for the exercise part, you may want to avoid Marine and navy JROTC as they’re more demanding in that field. There is a college version cannled ROTC which can actually get you into college for free (but you may have to join the military afterwards) And make sure you don’t be afraid of your instructors, but make sure to be formal with them and senior cadets! If you can join earlier in your academic career, I heavily advise doing so, so you can be in the program for longer and get a higher rank to increase your opportunities after graduation!
Holy crap how did u not get likes
I was in an JROTC program, and I loved it. I made some of the best friends I ever had. I double promoted on my first test, and I always did great in knockout. I also got 200/200 on my uniform grade pretty much every time.

Sounds like a civilian ain't too happy with his place.
For real, there was a time and place to be serious like inspection and other social events, but some of these people were a bit too much and I'm not even exaggerating nor am I someone who doesn't take the program seriously
Hmmm, considering i had higher grades than most of the guys in that class. I knew my place pretty well 🤔. Majority of the people in the program had to redo senior year or be held back 😂. I ended up in AJROTC because my school had a "We need x amount of students in each class to be in JROTC for some reason" policy. Eventually, I ended up growing a liking to the program, especially when I found out it would get me into the military at E-3. So, I ended up spending all four years of my highschool in AJROTC. We had our fair share of "bullys" in the program who harassed other students, but not enough to cause too much of a problem.
I have never heard of our school having a JROTC. I would have joined that shit immediately because unlike other fat kids, I actually liked and was good at Gym. We also have Military Ball, Corps picnics, field trips, B.O.B., Dine-out night, Colorguard (now called Honor Guard), and get into Homecoming for free if you sign up to do what they tell you. The nee cadets are a pain in the ass but most of them drop out after the first quarter.
I actually am in JROTC, and this more than accurate.
Are you gonna do ROTC and continue?
@@gianttacogod rn in my junior year actually, and I'm still in ROTC
Yeah it's a good program. I did navy one year now I'm in army. This is my senior year. Can confirm most of these things, minus the presentations. Also ye most of them are funny
@@Salizor ROTC is college I thought. you mean JROTC?
@@gianttacogod yeah my bad.
Im in this currently and I love it
I'm both a bit sad and extremely grateful I didn't join the JROTC when I first started high school. Bit sad cause a lot of people I know enjoyed the program and ended up staying on. Not to mention they're all really level headed and responsible. Grateful cause I would be constantly be yelled at for forgetting simple things and sweating so badly within the first few minutes of the physical portion of the class. ^^;;;;
