- At the end of the video, I mention Megan moving... She has now returned from South Korea! She was there for a year, where she was a resident artist performing musicals designed to help students learn English. She had a wonderful year and was able to travel a lot in Asia.

Blade Runner is my favourite soundtrack, and Vangelis one of my favourite composers. THIS was AMAZING. The out-worldly Angelic vocals from Megan were beautiful.

I think Vangelis tapped into a deeper beauty than what we experience day to day. Those of us who have been blessed to enjoy that beauty are lucky. I hope that others can experience it too. @@TaurusTarkus I would imagine it's actually very hard singing into those big verbs, like timing and feedback wise, or do you do the verbs in post, stunningly beautiful either way 🙏
Sorry for the delay in answering; I’m traveling with Megan and family in Asia. I did reverb post, so Megan didn’t have to deal with that. I also played pretty quietly so that the keyboards didn’t bleed too much into her vocals. It’s better to use headphones for recording, but I like the natural look. Regards.

@@robertaguilera4042 I'm really glad to hear that some viewers like you recognize how long the process takes. The Vangelis videos always take so much longer than I think they should! (...especially End Titles and La Petite Fille de la Mer.) It helps that I really enjoy making the sounds; I find that part pretty gratifying when it goes well. Figuring out the notes, and then making notes about those notes, etc... gets pretty tedious and isn't as much fun. Any favorites you'd like me to tackle?

Just amazing, both of you! Have you ever heard the song "My Kingdom" by Future Sound of London? They sample the vocal line from this in that song, it's actually what lead me to the Blade Runner film/soundtrack back in '94/'95 or so when I first heard of it. Definitely worth checking out!

As I talk about in my most recent cover (about programming the sounds), I was struggling to get that lead patch. After watching your video, I bought the Vangelis sounds, even though I don't own the Omnisphere! I eventually got the sound with my Prophet Rev2. I see you are very knowledgeable about cameras. I struggle with the best settings for shooting videos like this. What F stop would you use? I used to use auto focus but now try to lock focus with manual to avoid the constant attempts of the camera to refocus. Thanks!

@@TaurusTarkus Maybe you can do a remote collaboration like everyone's doing these days but not as cool as right there in the studio. But, yeah, I can imagine -I don't see our (18 yo) as much and he still lives with us! lol.
Thanks for your comments. The amount of time that we get with our kids after the age of 18 is pretty depressing. Some estimates are that the total amount of in-person time after 18 is only 4-10% of all the time we will ever spend with them. I think it is even worse with sons, at least it is for me.
@@TaurusTarkus Yeah, that's a interesting figure/%. I figured that's the way it would go so I tried to volunteer for just about everything our kid was doing. It's great that you have music in common with your daughter as you'll both be able to always share that.
Many parents who can't or won't make the time end up spoiling their kids with money. It's exhausting to be a parent, but you will be glad that you spent all that time and energy.

Thank you so much for such lovely comments! This is a favorite video for me too (as is All I Ask of You) because of Megan. I used to accompany her sometimes when she was in school and still learning to sing, and yes, the memories are wonderful. We're currently planning a trip to visit Megan in Korea. She is really enjoying living there and the additional places that she is able to travel to from there. She loves to travel and really loved visiting Poland in 2018. Thanks for the suggestion; I know that if you are asking, others would like to hear it too. I hadn't been thinking about that one. My struggle is the same as with Love Theme: the saxophone. I have a friend who is a very good sax player, but he's very busy. I have considered using an electric guitar for the lead in Love Theme, and perhaps that would work here as well? But I'd probably get some hate from some viewers for changing it!

It's a wonderful country, and you are close to so many amazing cities. You are kind of central to our trip, which goes from Cologne to Baden-Baden, down into Switzerland, back up to Munich, and then on to Austria. We will have to return someday for Berlin, Hamburg, etc. Many of my ancestors were originally from Germany, but that goes way, way back.
