I did it solo too, but ten years ago my reflexes were ATTUNED to gow. Now it would be a horrible pain to do. But im borderline insanely patient now when motivated, so it should counter out. Will have to do a reryn of 1 2 3 and judgement
I beat it solo. Hardest part by far for me was Griffin tower. Torque bows out the ass, a bunch of lament, and myrahh showing up didn’t help. Very frustrating.
Oddly enough, one of my hardest parts was the stadium bridge section. I probably never grabbed the boomshot so I was pretty much just lancering everything, and my god those gunkers tore me a new ass every time.
The trilogy has been completed (for now) Fun fact: around the 18 minute mark, Snam picks up a Longshot and very quickly dies afterwards. In fact, he did not have the Longshot for even 5 seconds. He had it for almost 3 seconds.

I beat Gears 1 and 2 on Insane like these last 5 days ago, I will admit Gears 1 Insane isn't that bad, (Hardcore is "Normal" and Insane is "Hardcore") trust me I know cause I played these games back to back since June of 2024 and after Hardcore run was my Insane run. Also, Gears 2 was challenging, like Act 3. Chapter 4... and I'm on Gears 3 Insane right now. I just made it to Act. 4 on Insane and I'm ready to make it to the end. However, playing on Arcade Insane isn't that bad than non Arcade mode. I beat Hardcore in Arcade with no mutators (cause at the time I didn't know how to unlock mutators) But now I'm playing Insane in Arcade with the Instagib melee mutator and Fast Reload Mutator on. After Gears 3 Insane, I'm going to go play Insane on Gears 1 remastered, so please tell me if Gears 1 remastered Insane is different than OG Gears 1 Insane? Also: Judgment on Insane? Not for a while from now cause I beat the game Normal 3 weeks back the first time playing, and I managed to get through the Act. 2 Chapter 4 bug/error issues where the loading screen frozes up after beating Chapter 4. At this point, im kinda burnt out from playing Gears from Normal to Hardcore to Insane back to back since June.

Kinda impressed how good Gears of War 3 still looks. I was replaying 1 through Ultimate Edition, and then I saw your journey through 2, so seeing this game running again was a surprise! It's extremely close to the Unreal Engine 4 look. Also, good embellishments on the Series S and X, fps boost and all
I most recently got into gears last summer, got a RGH Xbox for 80 bucks. gears 3 is probably my favorite one in the series probably won’t play the newer ones cause it’s kinda of pointless owning a newer Xbox when you have a PC/PS5.

@@devbyrd6127 that would've been SO MUCH EASIER, I've done it insane solo a couple of times but only because at the final boss it glitches or something and no additional Theron guards spawned the third time

During my latest Gears series playthrough on Insane, the mortar part in Gears 3 at the resort, after the initial wave was dealt with, Anya literally just ran all the way to the mortar guy and chainsawed him which allowed me to bypass fighting the next triggered spawn while the mortar is shooting at me. In all my playthroughs throughout the years, I have NEVER seen that happen before and it gave me a good laugh. Will be fun to see Gears 4 and 5. Theres a select few sections that give me nightmares to this day in Gears 4 on Insane/Inconceivable. One part in particular is just rediculous and caused some thrown controllers.
oh, what you said at 41:31 reminded me of a line in a "Dresden files" comic book: "kill them the same way you would kill anything else, just kill them a LOT." -they were monsters "with bulletproof skin", and he killed one by burning it's skin off with a fire spell, THEN shooting it!
GOW3's difficulty spikes with 4 players, since the IA can be revived, takes more hits and can distract enemies. In a 4 player run, even if 1 dies is game over.
I'm sure someone already told u, but Jace is actually in gears 2. When u first drop down into the tunnels he comes over comms and says something, idr. And Marcus tells him happy hunting, I think. But he is in the 2nd game.
I was 85% done with seriously 3.0, the last achievement I needed. One day I signed in and a it loaded all the content I got from pre ordering started "unlocking" and popping up on the side. My heart dropped and as I went to my medals for seriously they had all reset😭😭😭
I know this is ages after the vid but I’ve just finished gears 3 yesterday and that boss fight genuinely killed me. I’m trying to complete every game on insane solo and I still have judgement, 4 and 5 to go but sharing in the pain of the first 3 with you has been so fun. This game was literally my childhood, returning school to ask my uncle if I could use his Xbox360 and play (and die) a lot of Gears, it was my first full videogame ever, I legit cried when Dom died (I was like 7) + I had a lot of nightmares with the game, lmao, I love Gears 3, best game ever (at least in my heart)
You know, with the long ass bugs, if you shoot them in the head they become incapacitated and you can shoot their tail without them killing you for a couple of seconds. I’m surprised no one in the chat told you that…lmao.
I dont know if anyone had mentioned this but if youre using the torque bow against the armoured kantus it will one shot headshot it when you stun it. Its a little late now since there isnt gonna be anything like that in future games but the torque bow is insane on insane difficulty against most enemies if you hit their criticals.
I remember soloing this as a kid so long ago, and I remember very specific parts that were so difficult for me. Hijacking the gas barge, gunker on the bridge, brothers to the end, the entirety of the submarine segment, and the Queen's boss fight. It feels very relieving to know that not only was I right for thinking this was as difficult as it was, but that there's others that struggle on the same points I did. Congrats on beating the game on insane! Wear that medal proudly!

I remember getting this difficult achievement solo many years ago. The part that really made me rage was the boss battle at 27:40. My companions kept going down, that emulsion stuff the boss smears on the ground was annoying, and the boss was strong and fast. I wanted to punch people that day, but in a kind way, of course!

LOL, not sure why my playthrough was more opposite (the places the TH-camr got really frustrated in, I didn't really find all that difficult) in terms of difficulty at places. Maybe it's the way I play I guess! I'll admit that boss made me fear the rest of the game. I like to think it made me better, so the rest of the game was easier.

I remember joining a co-op session once. It was the part where they were in the supermarket, I think. There's a cardboard cutout of Cole you can interact with. Press the button and it goes "The Cole Train runs on whole grain, baby! WOO!" In this particular co-op session, there was a guy standing at that cutout, pressing that button over and over. It was funny at first, but we couldn't progress because of him, and he wouldn't stop doing that and move on with the game. So I left.
Gears 3 is the only gears campaign I've completed on insanity, and even then it was in co-op campaign with sometimes just 2 of us, and 4 for the hardest parts! It took us 2 months but definitely worth it 😂

This brings back good memories. Side note, the game is actually easier alone, since the bots don’t die and can revive each other. The final boss was near impossible with 4 friends on insane since you don’t go down and just die immediately instead. Also, I can’t prove this and am too lazy to test it, but the enemies do way more damage on arcade mode with multiple players because you can respawn LOL.

This video unearthed a lot of traumatic memories I have of doing this exact same challenge. Damn near every single encounter killed me at least once and at least half the encounters probably killed me 5+ times. In retrospect I'm frankly amazed I had the patience for this as an 18 year old. Although I am glad I remember now because this is probably one of the single most impressive video game feats of my life. It was honestly easier to breath Sekiro deathless than to beat Gears 3 solo on Insane
Even before watching the video I have to say kudos on the title. I might be a little biased being a Gears of War fan and knowing the lore, but to me it was absolutely perfect.
Whats cool about the new character Jace is that he actually does make a small cameo in Gears of War 2, he's one of the Alpha Squad members that you see when you first arrive in the locust tunnels.
Your bringing back all my nightmares that I had back in Hs. When I did this Solo run. I will never forgive those damn mortars in that 1 section on the way too kill the queen towards the end....
Dig Boomers were my favorite enemy/weapon whether it was horde or just picking up their weapon, direct impact with it is and always will be the most satisfying thing

I beat this game on insane difficulty. I had a good strategy for defeating the lambent beserker. There is circular type building within that area. Just creep along the walls of this building, the emulsion trails left behind the beserker as it runs won't get you because it runs in a straight line while you are walking in a circle along the wall. As for the stalks, just run toward them and attach a grenade to them. Run for cover and it will die with that one shot.
Good to see people enjoy playing this games campaign's on insane, I remember the sheer amount of hours I put into the 3 first Gears to get the insane achievement
oh man this really takes me back. i loved Gears 3 when it came out and played it to DEATH. i played it until my 360 stopped working, but now all i got is my PC. shame i wont be able to revisit Gears 3 but i still got the memories with me. and all those hours i spent playing Horde mode with the boys all night
I feel your pain, I remember doing this campaign on insane solo for the first time and it was tough as hell, even when I slowly went up the difficulties via Easy, Normal, Hard, then Insane, it was still incredibly tough, great game and good job my friend

-Best weapon combo for this campaign is Hammerburst and Retro. The retro melts big enemies, and since ammo boxes don't refill your sniper in this game, the zoom on the hammerburst is good for taking out turrets. This also gives you lots of ammo since you're carrying 2 assault rifles instead of a rifle and something like a boomshot. -Give explosive weapons to the bots. They have infinite ammo, although once they shoot all of the ammo the weapon is supposed to carry, they have to put it on their back for a while to recharge.
Despite him dying so much in act one, my opinion is that the coolest moment in Gears of War 3 is when Cole train is coming down the Zipline and when he lands he does the WOOO!!! Like literally insane and cool af
in my opinion co op was by far the hardest thing i have ever done because if 1 member dies its reload checkpoint and there was so many sections where it was so hard to find cover for the 3rd and 4 person ( we did it with 4 ppl btw) and i remember doing it solo pretty easy back in the day just because you have the other 3 members as A.I and can take alot more damage then squishy real bois. so gratz for doing it solo but now try it with 3 other friends and realize the hell

For real though, Armored Kantus were my favorite Locust to play in Horde mode. Getting multiple kills with the roll is just fun

I dont know if anyone had mentioned this but if youre using the torque bow against the armoured kantus it will one shot headshot it when you stun it. Its a little late now since there isnt gonna be anything like that in future games but the torque bow is insane on insane difficulty against most enemies if you hit their criticals.

I remember soloing this as a kid so long ago, and I remember very specific parts that were so difficult for me. Hijacking the gas barge, gunker on the bridge, brothers to the end, the entirety of the submarine segment, and the Queen's boss fight. It feels very relieving to know that not only was I right for thinking this was as difficult as it was, but that there's others that struggle on the same points I did. Congrats on beating the game on insane! Wear that medal proudly!

I remember getting this difficult achievement solo many years ago. The part that really made me rage was the boss battle at 27:40. My companions kept going down, that emulsion stuff the boss smears on the ground was annoying, and the boss was strong and fast. I wanted to punch people that day, but in a kind way, of course!
weird i didn't have much trouble with this boss i would keep going back to the boss to speedrun it. For some reason this boss was fun for me
@@darknessends127 You're so lucky. I remember that boss so well, and a bit of the last boss as well. LOL, not sure why my playthrough was more opposite (the places the TH-camr got really frustrated in, I didn't really find all that difficult) in terms of difficulty at places. Maybe it's the way I play I guess!
I'll admit that boss made me fear the rest of the game. I like to think it made me better, so the rest of the game was easier.

God, this just reminds me of how much i suffered as a kid playing this. Never ended up beating final boss lol
I remember joining a co-op session once. It was the part where they were in the supermarket, I think. There's a cardboard cutout of Cole you can interact with. Press the button and it goes "The Cole Train runs on whole grain, baby! WOO!"
In this particular co-op session, there was a guy standing at that cutout, pressing that button over and over. It was funny at first, but we couldn't progress because of him, and he wouldn't stop doing that and move on with the game. So I left.
Thaaaaaaats an Easter egg press it a certain number of times it triggers coles speech to the locust and Myrrah in gears 2
Gears 3 is the only gears campaign I've completed on insanity, and even then it was in co-op campaign with sometimes just 2 of us, and 4 for the hardest parts! It took us 2 months but definitely worth it 😂

I haven’t played Gears 3 in years. It was (technically) my first shooter experience. You may have just inspired me to come back to it after so long.

This brings back good memories. Side note, the game is actually easier alone, since the bots don’t die and can revive each other. The final boss was near impossible with 4 friends on insane since you don’t go down and just die immediately instead. Also, I can’t prove this and am too lazy to test it, but the enemies do way more damage on arcade mode with multiple players because you can respawn LOL.

This video unearthed a lot of traumatic memories I have of doing this exact same challenge. Damn near every single encounter killed me at least once and at least half the encounters probably killed me 5+ times.
In retrospect I'm frankly amazed I had the patience for this as an 18 year old. Although I am glad I remember now because this is probably one of the single most impressive video game feats of my life. It was honestly easier to breath Sekiro deathless than to beat Gears 3 solo on Insane

Whats cool about the new character Jace is that he actually does make a small cameo in Gears of War 2, he's one of the Alpha Squad members that you see when you first arrive in the locust tunnels.
Your bringing back all my nightmares that I had back in Hs. When I did this Solo run. I will never forgive those damn mortars in that 1 section on the way too kill the queen towards the end....
Dig Boomers were my favorite enemy/weapon whether it was horde or just picking up their weapon, direct impact with it is and always will be the most satisfying thing

I beat this game on insane difficulty. I had a good strategy for defeating the lambent beserker. There is circular type building within that area. Just creep along the walls of this building, the emulsion trails left behind the beserker as it runs won't get you because it runs in a straight line while you are walking in a circle along the wall. As for the stalks, just run toward them and attach a grenade to them. Run for cover and it will die with that one shot.
Good to see people enjoy playing this games campaign's on insane, I remember the sheer amount of hours I put into the 3 first Gears to get the insane achievement
oh man this really takes me back. i loved Gears 3 when it came out and played it to DEATH. i played it until my 360 stopped working, but now all i got is my PC. shame i wont be able to revisit Gears 3 but i still got the memories with me. and all those hours i spent playing Horde mode with the boys all night
I feel your pain, I remember doing this campaign on insane solo for the first time and it was tough as hell, even when I slowly went up the difficulties via Easy, Normal, Hard, then Insane, it was still incredibly tough, great game and good job my friend

-Best weapon combo for this campaign is Hammerburst and Retro. The retro melts big enemies, and since ammo boxes don't refill your sniper in this game, the zoom on the hammerburst is good for taking out turrets. This also gives you lots of ammo since you're carrying 2 assault rifles instead of a rifle and something like a boomshot.
-Give explosive weapons to the bots. They have infinite ammo, although once they shoot all of the ammo the weapon is supposed to carry, they have to put it on their back for a while to recharge.

Despite him dying so much in act one, my opinion is that the coolest moment in Gears of War 3 is when Cole train is coming down the Zipline and when he lands he does the WOOO!!! Like literally insane and cool af
in my opinion co op was by far the hardest thing i have ever done because if 1 member dies its reload checkpoint and there was so many sections where it was so hard to find cover for the 3rd and 4 person ( we did it with 4 ppl btw) and i remember doing it solo pretty easy back in the day just because you have the other 3 members as A.I and can take alot more damage then squishy real bois. so gratz for doing it solo but now try it with 3 other friends and realize the hell
