I have blown my grips on for the past 10 years , no mess and I can blow grips on and go straight to the course , NO DRY TIME
Simple and fast !
Well done!
I have regripped my steel shafted irons and have now moved on to regripping a graphite shafted fairway wood. After removing the old grips from the fairway wood I note that the graphite shift is straight in diameter, butt to tip, unlike the steel shafts that are larger in the butt and taper down to the tip. So, the graphite shaft butt is narrower than the steel shaft butt (where the grip fits over). Can I use the same replacement grip I used on my irons on my fairway wood (which I prefer for consistency), or do I need a grip that is made specifically for graphite shafts? It seems I would, but I am not seeing that get called out anywhere I search on-line! Maybe I am over thinking it!!!
You can use the same grips as you did on your irons.
@@WedgeGuys Thanks Wedge Guy!
Use Orange Citrus Degreaser. Same as Goo Gone, but less money. Goo Gone just re-packaged it and jacked up the price 400%. Same shit, and you probably already have it in your garage, or your neighbor's garage. You don't need much. I use WD-40 on steel shafts, but do NOT use it on graphite shafts.
Great video.
I'm putting standard sized Tour Velvet Full Cord on my clubs.
I'm currently playing midsize MCC +4s but can't stand the "squish" in the bottom hand at transition.
Have you ever done a buildup on the top hand?
As in, building the top hand to somewhere akin to Mid size and allowing the taper to come back down to standard for the lower?
@@sgodlike7911 Go with a regular midsize grip (the bottom hand will be small but not quite standard size) or use a standard grip and add a couple pieces of tape to just the top hand. This will get you the feel you are looking for. The only downside to the second option is that the grip will stretch which will shorten its lifespan.
@@WedgeGuys I ended up going Midsized Full Cord with two wraps and absolutely love iy
