- There is no time like mining time - and #TH-camGOLD is in full effect, firing on all cylinders. First I must get some pay dirt to the plant. This is a challenge as I live in the middle of the Alberta prairies - so I jump in my full size truck to head down to my sweet spot at the river. I load up on potential Gold and head back to the plant. When I arrive I see that Everett has joined us.. and is ready to hope in the Wheel Loader! "Sluice Box Steve" is also onsite - and ready to rip into the pay dirt with the excavator. I am running the Haul Truck & Bull Dozer today.
Are we going to find Gold?! Possibly.. but the true secret of this show - is nothing you see is real. Everything is staged (well as much as we can plan when playing!), and though we are mining for real gold (yes it's real pay dirt), the true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a couple of goofballs entertain you with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on TH-cam! Now all I have to do is to continue learning how to sluice for Gold. We are all rookies, we have never mined before.. yet, I have always had a passion for Radio Control, and for finding Gold!

I am using the older style of excavator, the 870K wheel loader, the DXR2 Dozer, and the 797F Haul Truck. These machines are very impressive.. and VERY HEAVY! All metal, all around... True hydraulic systems that have ample power for your Radio control modelling needs.
I have always known that making a GOLD MINE would be possible with RC models.. and finally I get to realize this dream - even if the scale is all 1/14th in size!

The grisly bars from the first plant(trommel) could feed the larger material to the second plant(shaker deck). It could be as simple as having the bars on a 45 degree angle so the bigger rocks roll on past to a conveyor. That way you don't miss any gold that may be sticking to the larger rocks.
This video gave me the feeling of when i was a child playing in the sand and mud with my toy cars. Really great.

Being in business for myself I know SO many people that would trash this stuff as a complete and total waste of time yet I sit here in my office completely and totally mind blown at the commitment, dedication, perseverance, and just plain fun. I will never have the time or the resources for something like this in my own life but its just utterly inspirational.

If you guy's add a rubber skirt to each side of the belt and have overlap the belt that will prevent gravel from getting under it and burning up the motor.Just a thought

RCSparks Studio I'm no pro but is a car window motor just not designed to run constantly? That could explain it getting hot ?? Just a thought
Actually this is a great idea, it essentially forces the rocks to the center of the belt! But you’d want to cut a small ‘V’ shape cut out into the cleat to allow the belt to flex! This keeps the pressure off the rubber that way your belt runs efficient! The top belt obviously doesn’t have cleats, my idea would be a wider belt or some thin rubber walls that lay over both sides almost hanging onto the belt so that rocks just fall away from the walls!
This is speaking off knowledge from a real system!

Hi Aaron. I think It's a good idea to make the grizzly bars tilt but I think there should be a shoot that goes from the grizzly bars to the conveyor up to the shaker to wash the rocks off.

The reason this is so cool for me is I actually work in the conveyer belt industry, have for years now. Not many people even know what that is. Ironically the industry I’m in makes the world go round. Us belters understand that pun. To see this video and the fun involved really makes my night! It truly is very cool!
Also, fun fact, the conveyer belt you used is yes big for what it is but you should see the real life sizes, those things are a massive 250’ by 50”!!! Well some, they very for the companies!

Great series I'm loven it one suggestion while panning out your clean out put a few drops of Jet Dry in the pan, that will break the surface tension of the water and you get more of the fine gold that floats on the surface of the water. Jet Dry is that suff used in dishwashers!

I have been with you all season watching your amazing videos on my phone and on my TV.
since you are running trommel first, i would recommend having some sort of wash system on the grizzly bars to wash off the rocks that cant pass through. i saw a good bit of dirt on those rocks that got thrown away.
Awesome Man! Love this series better than watching Alaskan gold rush, lol😂 a tip you should do to the conveyor that takes the pay to the wash plant is put angles on the sides of the belt so the pay doesn’t get caught underneath the belt.
