I really like that you use very little talking with the characters which allows my students to create their own dialogue! Thank you very much! Pam
Amazing animation! It's so worth the wait! I love the mysterious cavern. Excellent job on everything including the music you've added 😉 And I'm glad that John and Jimmy are back from their cruise adventure right on time! 😜
One of my favorite episodes. Thanks for for all the hard work that goes into this. The detail of the mine is awesome. Thousands of frames, spectacular. Even dad signaling SOS on the wires. No detail too small. Above and beyond.
My good sir, this was amazing. The animation between 5:40-5:50 was just incredible, and the music choice worked so well with the theme and tone! This might even be my new favorite by you...just amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
I love every inch about this film! Here are 3 inches of it that are very impressive: the animation. Very smooth animating. Storyline. Very good storyline. Set design. Incredible building!
You gotta admit that the owners of the mining company are very nice. The father and son trespassed in their mine, yet the owners weren't cross at all. Instead, they saved the father and son without a second thought. Glad the father gave them some gold, though.
Excellent video. You should be proud of this. I also want to make a few key points as constructive criticism: Positives: Premise was really cool, how the mining company went bankrupt and the father and son visited the actual site. Sound effects when they entered the cave (3:06) were excellent and spot on. I especially love the ambience of the mineshaft too. Character movements throughout are very well done and smooth; it compliments the high frame rate excellently. A lot of the cinematography is some of the best I've seen in Lego brickfilming. I especially love the transition of the miners to the picture of them in the newspaper article (1:41) and the shot of them falling down the elevator shaft (5:45). The Lego environment itself, as well as the set pieces, are extremely well put together, realistic, and detailed. The lights in the cave help give this video a sense of realism and it worked wonders. And although a little detail, I absolutely love the use of the crowbar on the train (5:30) I loved the use of morse code (8:30). That was a cool and clever addition. Also the vehicles working together to dig the hole at 8:51 was incredibly cool and well-executed. There was excellent use of lego pieces and the vehicles itself. The cavern of golden nuggets at 7:38 had fantastic lighting as well. Negatives: I really did not like the use of stock music. It didn't detract from the video all that much, but it did make it a little cringy and generic (If that makes any sense). The story itself I felt was a little unclear. Mainly when the father and son went to visit the cave itself (How were they able to get in and access all that stuff without being spotted or anything?) and when they found the cavern, it was kinda weird that something that looked like it was ripped straight out of Indiana Jones would be there. Also it was a little unrealistic how the father and son survived the fall down the elevator shaft. That shaft was at least a hundred feet deep, and realistically speaking they both would have died. But it's a Lego brickfilm, so things like this aren't a big deal. The skeleton at 6:20 felt unrealistic to be in a mining shaft, especially since it makes no sense why the workers wouldn't have found it or something. It's not a big deal though. And that's it. This was incredibly well done, hope this helped a little.
I know this is super late, but based on the readings on the head miner’s scanner, the two actually fell around 4,000 feet when they dropped down that shaft (We don’t see them travel down any further afterwards, the rest of the mine is completely level) At first that sounds absurd, but that actually lines up with how deep gold mines usually are/can get So it’s even more ridiculous that they survived the fall, but at least the mine depth is realistic?
WOW!!! THAT WAS AMAZING!!! No wonder it took months to make this; and It was worth the wait. Well done as always! I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!! I Dunno how to express my feelings better... It's Just... AWESOME!!!! It was Perfect as always! Great job! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌💖💖💖💖😍😍
