This is totally the bassist and guitar player from loose lips sinks ships!! I always pointed the guitarists out as the man with the stache shredding lol. Or at least they look like the old band members. The music also sounds a bit similar at times
Excellent observation. I hear this too and went back to review NH and Hatfield and tried to find a specific echo or riff but couldn't. No Northettes; so of course it's not that. Best I could say is the tonal color, modality of this piece. Gotta say, this math rock and related stuff is beautifully extending the prog tradition, even if it is partly unintentional or independent.
I''m sick and tired of people crying that no one makes good music anymore. It's on the listener to seek out good music in modern times. But can also be on listeners to share good music so check out this amazing live show by The Physics House Band: th-cam.com/video/U4g59_I-xSc/w-d-xo.html
heres a song from my friends band almost 6 years ago. not as technical but definitely along the same lines as these guys. www.soundcloud.com/weather-wise/p-f-flyers
you know he raps too? lol its pretty interesting stuff lots of cool artists collab with him in this album dave davison that lady from oshwa i think even someone from joan of arc? nnamdiogbonnaya.bandcamp.com/album/bootie-noir
hahaha no way! I saw the beginning of this video, and was like "I know that style of drumming. But this isn't the Para-Medics. I keep forgetting that people are capable of being in more than one group at a time
Benjamin Villarreal the drummer is for sure. the guitarist might be. I need to revisit paramedics. but being a bassist myself I do remember what the bassist of paramedics looks like and he doesn't seem to be present.
there's a lot of cool things happening in this song, but I really can't get past the whole 2x bass thing. The sound feels super glutted to me. Keyboard overlaps on both guitar and bass, which is fine because they take turns supporting each other, but with a second bass in there its just too thick.
hulkhoganwillbenchu i have to disagree, ive listened to this song through multiple monitors, ns-10s, samson revolv 8s, mackie hr824, hs-8s, meyer hd1s and a couple more, this mix is pretty good. i feel like the guitars and keyboard compliment each other amazingly. and the bass to me sounds really good in the mix, i dont have my sub connected so that might change when its back up, but i dont think i couldve done a better job with this mix, good job Conor Mackey!
woah two bassists. these guys know what theyre doing
My respect for them instantly shot into the stratosphere when i saw that
If I was in an elevator and I heard this song start, I would press every button.
Elevator music on roids!

The drummer is multi-genre artist Nnamdi. He just put out a great album!
Yup i luv him
Fuck yeah mathjazz-fusion!
Unfortunately you guys were vibing way too ahead of your time. Wish this would make a nice return.
I love when an instrumental band knows how to keep it tight and changing.
Man can these guys play. Such a tight band! In love with the drummer, very active yet not loud. Amazing video / performance.

This is totally the bassist and guitar player from loose lips sinks ships!! I always pointed the guitarists out as the man with the stache shredding lol. Or at least they look like the old band members. The music also sounds a bit similar at times

Sick! this Def got That Hoolahoop Chain
It sounds like the English prog rock band 'National Health' from the 70's
Excellent observation. I hear this too and went back to review NH and Hatfield and tried to find a specific echo or riff but couldn't. No Northettes; so of course it's not that. Best I could say is the tonal color, modality of this piece. Gotta say, this math rock and related stuff is beautifully extending the prog tradition, even if it is partly unintentional or independent.
Yo not many people that I mention them to know about national health! One of my favorites
It sounds more like Hatfield and the North, to my ears

they are so amazing
They sound like they are influenced by the music of Tigran Hamasyan. Really dig this.
+Shane Trowbridge indeed
+Shane Trowbridge My thoughts exactly. That lead is so damn catchy.
I hear some Tigran Hamasyan.
Finally someone who's knows who Tigran is!
Sayan Sengupta Yeah the opening statement is almost exactly Tigran's Vardavar
Connor Underwood my sweet lord, that’s close!!
@@connorunderwood807 Yup I was gonna say the beginning is like an alternate version of the vardavar riff
moustache guitarist and bassist looks like they some DEA agent in Narcos
How am I just now hearing this?

It's no longer down.
Bandcamp doesn't usually have issues..
TOO MUCH.
are any of you guys from the Paramedics?
Benjamin Villarreal the drummer is for sure. the guitarist might be. I need to revisit paramedics. but being a bassist myself I do remember what the bassist of paramedics looks like and he doesn't seem to be present.
The drummer and the bass player with the awesome mustache were both in the Paramedics.
Puddle Splashers I take it this bass player was the guitarist in paramedics then?
nope. he played bass. he was the replacement for the original bass player when they transitioned to a 4 piece.
ねろたや
This is sexy. Why do most people listen to such lame music?
They pretty much copied Tigran Hamasyan for this entire song.
They actually didn't but okay.
there's a lot of cool things happening in this song, but I really can't get past the whole 2x bass thing. The sound feels super glutted to me. Keyboard overlaps on both guitar and bass, which is fine because they take turns supporting each other, but with a second bass in there its just too thick.
hulkhoganwillbenchu why so critical man just enjoy the music
hulkhoganwillbenchu i have to disagree, ive listened to this song through multiple monitors, ns-10s, samson revolv 8s, mackie hr824, hs-8s, meyer hd1s and a couple more, this mix is pretty good. i feel like the guitars and keyboard compliment each other amazingly. and the bass to me sounds really good in the mix, i dont have my sub connected so that might change when its back up, but i dont think i couldve done a better job with this mix, good job Conor Mackey!
hulkhoganwillbenchu you think they dont know that bass is so thick? its fucking amazing you just dont appreciate it is all
So tasty. Keep it coming, boys
