I will never forget the time (about 5 years ago) when I showed this to my mate and he saw the drummer and thought we were watching a very intense episode of the I.T Crowd. What a song.
I wanted the guitar to resolve so bad on something other than that diminished chord, but the tension created such a powerful suspense. Frustrating and enjoyable at the same time.
I thought this nearly nine years ago, so I mind as well say it now, this is an incredible piece of music. The vibe and composition is impeccable. PHB is a special unit... I hope you guys keep churning out the jams!
@@etienneseguin7502 They said they finished a new album like 8 or 9 months ago, but nothing since then. Also heard that their bass player quit around the same time :(
I assume this was recommended to me because of how much Delta Sleep I listen to. Kind of expected the no singing to bother me, but it really didn't. Great track.
Incredible, just incredible. Not only does this sound amazing, but you can see these three guys rocking the shit out of their instruments and having a blast.
Now and then I remember these guys exist and come back here. Always nice to see these three amazingly talented musicians travel into the world they created, taking us with them.
I've listened to this so many times in the last ten years... This band and song, and this particular moment... It's all so 'goated' I can't really cope... Was completely gutted a few years back to hear they lost their bassist... Apparently they've appointed a new one in the last few weeks, so hopefully they can make some new magic together in the new set up 🙏❤️❤️❤️
Это просто невероятно!!! Я, конечно, понимаю, что никогда не увижу вас на сценах клубов в своей родной дыре, но... посоны! Я хочу-хочу-хочу на ваш лив!)))
MUCH LOVE FROM THE US! I'm a 20 year veteran of a prog-rock band that (chances are) you've heard of. Not going to say the name publically because I don't want this to be misconstrued as an official band endorsement. However, for the last 4 years I've been struggling with writers' block, and I happened to stumble across your music online a few months ago. You guys have inspired me to start writing again. I greatly admire what you do and am waiting with bated breath for some east coast dates here.
+00Because well, that's how you would count it or learn how to play it. you can hear by the drummer's accents that that's how he did it as 7/8 and then 8/8. you could do it as three 5/4 and so on.
These musicians aren't messing. This music sounds like serious business. Very enjoyable to listen & watch. Amazing dynamics. Talented. Keep up the good work. I look forward t'seeing you on Tuesday 25th June at Gorilla in Manchester. Lots of Love from your new fan! ♥ xoxo
When you drop any new idea in the pond of the world, you get a ripple effect. You have to be aware that you will be creating a cascade of change. Joel A. Barker I see more of a psychedelic futuristic loud techno color here. Very groovistic.
It's like The Mars Volta and Piglet had a love child. This is fucking incredible.
9 years later this performance is still iconic. They are machines
Yep. I still come back and watch often.
That drummer is a fucking animal!
but he is not Thee Animal. the one and only.
Terry Toner i see what you did there
They are all so fucking adept it is insane. Personally for me, the bass player impresses me the most (they are all super impressive) though.
8:44 I break everything in my house.
hes the epitome of the phrase, "beat em like they owe you money."
the bass needs to be higher up.. the guy is fucking unbelievable live
Thibaut Vandame agreed. I think the bassdrum was a bit too loud in the mix and and the bass guitar couldve been louder
I will never forget the time (about 5 years ago) when I showed this to my mate and he saw the drummer and thought we were watching a very intense episode of the I.T Crowd. What a song.
Awesome song! Drummer looks like he has to sneeze the whole time but he shreds.
This is legit one of the best performances I've ever seen. these guys are fucking amazing.
anyone else have a smile from ear to ear listening to this?
I wanted the guitar to resolve so bad on something other than that diminished chord, but the tension created such a powerful suspense. Frustrating and enjoyable at the same time.
edging.

Better late than never.

@@etienneseguin7502 They said they finished a new album like 8 or 9 months ago, but nothing since then. Also heard that their bass player quit around the same time :(
that drummer reminds me Keith Moon! Amazing band!
Epic, some of those guitar licks are straight Omar Rodriguez Lopez hand me downs, but thats a good thing.
1:43 - 1:59 is out of omar's handbook
cuttygrass who the fuck is eric
His tone is spot-on
i call this band The Muse Volta
I thought the bass player was Omar Rodriguez
great drummer!
I assume this was recommended to me because of how much Delta Sleep I listen to. Kind of expected the no singing to bother me, but it really didn't. Great track.
Jamwamee hahha. Same here. Delta sleep all the wayy
Yo dude same here ahahah
Superb! Drummer looks like he's enjoying himself too.
8:05 and the drummer gives me the chillz
Incredible, just incredible.
Not only does this sound amazing, but you can see these three guys rocking the shit out of their instruments and having a blast.
These guys remind me of a cross between The Mars Volta and The Fall of Troy. The bass player kind looks like Omar too.
Manny Marshall I met him at the first Arctangent festival. He is a sound chap!
+Manny Marshall THATS EXACTELY WHAT I WAS THINKING MAN!
+Manny Marshall i was going to comment the same thing, lol
+Manny Marshall jajaj omg
Manny Marshall reminds me a bit of king crimson too, especially the first half of the song
Now and then I remember these guys exist and come back here. Always nice to see these three amazingly talented musicians travel into the world they created, taking us with them.
best random click of my life

Absolutely need a full video of each of their performances, from all angles :D
Especially a drum cam video!
If you come to Philadelphia, they will come to see you. All of Philly will come to see you
Seconded
Indeed!
Best video I've ever seen in my life.
+Mitch Lawless Literal sound-gasm.
yes, and the snare sounds so good as well.
Still have a spiritual experience everytime I watch this.
Matt Smith tearing it up on the drums
me gustan esas bandas que logran transmitir la energía de su música, ésta es una de ellas, son grandes chicos!
I didn't know the IT crowd had a band. Richard Ayoade on bass, Chirs O'Dowd on drums.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH holy shit
drummer looks more like Chris's little brother lol
WOW...Seen you guys 3 times live and it's always epic.
Это просто невероятно!!! Я, конечно, понимаю, что никогда не увижу вас на сценах клубов в своей родной дыре, но... посоны! Я хочу-хочу-хочу на ваш лив!)))
I came here by accident and now you have a new fan.
So this is what the kids in my chemistry class do during lunch hour...
This is the progression of music. If only people would build from this beauty and move forward.
So much feel and emotion. Amazing.

Nice touch with the 15/4 there at the end :)
I agree! but wouldn't it be bimetered 7/8, 4/4?

The perfect trifecta. Hope you guys continue to make amazing music. That second break down is a beautiful trance like feeling.
Not sure why this just popped up in my feed but these are some seriously spooky math rock vibes.
