Ras hit the nail on the head with Strange. The so-called “mastermind” used Wayntech for all his security systems and doesn’t bother keeping his hostage.
I think Strange using WayneTech was more to troll Bats by beating him with the very tech he uses to protect the city.
These panels are highly encrypted and require codes called "Master Control Program " to accese them , which is why Batman hacks one of the choppers before going to Wonder Tower

Additionally, Strange doesn't consider that Batman could obtain the TYGER MCP from the primary helicopter during Protocol Ten, nor does he consider giving himself an escape route such as a helicopter in case the tower is breached, or a stronger safe room made of metal and with a different security system! He may claim to be brilliant, but his security measures seem kind of stupid given the flaws in them...

When I used to have the original version of this game, this mission always gave me the chills. Just seeing all the dead prisoners around Arkham City and everything being blown up just gives me the chills.
Seeing Protocol 10 happen for the first time was always crazy for me.

I'm just sayin, Batman has fought against Gods and won. Batman once survived the head exploding vacuum that is space for 24 seconds. Batman has both buried himself and broken free from his own grave before. Batman has outsmarted immortals and has even defeated a few justice league members. After all of the foes he's ever faced, after all of the near death experiences he ever overcome, after all of the trials and tribulations he's ever conquered, he dies by rock. Rock.
Yeah, about that. All those feats you listed? Who's to say this Batman did any of them? This is the Arkhamverse after all. It may have some parallels in terms of certain events from different universes, but it's otherwise very isolated and self-contained from the mainstream events of the DCAU/New 52/Elseworld stories (apart from Killing Joke which the Arkhamverse assumes is canon)/whatever continuity you/the comics currently follow. We know very little about what takes place outside of the events of these games, Assault on Arkham, and the comic tie-ins. Sure, Bats may have gone to Metropolis, but we don't know if that means that he met with Superman nor do we know if he was ever a part of the Justice League or if it even exists in this universe.
The Arkham city music ( or theme) really makes you feel like Batman for some reason. It’s hard to explain like the vibe you get from it is “ the city is burning and only Batman can save it”
Hugo Strange is such an underrated villain, I wish we could see him in a live-action Batman movie as the main antagonist.
Or similar to Joker (2019), there should have been a Strange film.
Plot
Strange was born in a crime infested area full of criminal gangs, drug dealers. As a young boy living in the streets of Crime Alley, Strange fleeing due to the horrors of Gotham.
In his high-school years, Strange and Thomas Wayne were on the same baseball team. Both of them were friends and Strange would often visit Thomas and Martha until a young Bruce throws a book at him. Before reacting with hostility, Thomas apologises and introduces his spoilt rich son to him. Strange looks unimpressed, but later settled down.
Years later, Strange studied to become a psychiatrist who specialised in analysing the criminal mind. Strange, at the beginning of his career, worked as psychiatrist at Blackgate Prison, where he treated its inmates. Strange came into Crime Alley and witnessed the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne. He was saddened by the death of his old friend and this led him, coming upon the dead body of a murderer, took his gun. During that time, he eventually became proficient in being gunner, and killed numerous murderers, drug dealers, etc...
Having a desire to become the new Batman and become Gotham's saviour, he finds himself in Gotham, acting as a vigilante to eradicate criminal gangs that are extorting the people. His efforts attract the attention of an unnamed retired general, who convinces Strange that he can improve the lives of others. Meeting with others who shares his views, Strange aspires to establish a benevolent dictatorship that reigns Gotham.
Despite being a repressive dictator, many of Strange's actions have had positive effects on Gotham and people. Healthcare, education, and electricity were free for all people, newly-weds would earn $47244 upon their marriage, housing was provided throughout the country, free of charge. Joe Chill and Black Mask putting together a small army of gangsters, who want vengeance against Strange. He orders his troops to eradicate the enemies. The film would end with Gotham under Strange's reign.

Metropolis regularly deals with galactic and alien threats while Keystone dukes out against metahumans everyday. Protocol 10 is absolutely fucked in those cities

Looking back on this years later, I remember it saying on Hugo Strange's Batcomputer file that Strange was trained to his physical peak. It's kind of a shame that we didn't get to see any evidence supporting that here. Batman just wrecks him, as he would any common thug on the street.
I had no idea you could take out all 6 of the Titan containers with just 2 sprays of gel. Every time I do it, I do all 3 gels on one of each container on one side at a time.

I noticed that when Ra al Ghul fell from the tower, he fell off on the “A” in Arkham City’s entrance, which may have symbolized that it was the “death” of Arkham City.

A lot of people in the comments section are saying that Hugo Strange's plan is a good thing, but you gotta remember, there were a lot of political prisoners and innocent people that had a lot of evidence against Strange's inhuman experiments and law-breaking activities, so he captured a lot of them and threw them into Arkham City. This was indicated by the Deadshot side mission. Strange's plan to eliminate the criminal populace of Arkham City was also a cover to eliminate the people who had evidence against him. Strange knew that no one would remember the victims because who would care about bad people. Batman was completely justified in stopping Strange not only because Strange's plan went against Batman's code, but also because Strange was murdering innocent people. Clearly, Strange plays the hero, but deep down, he's no different to the bad people he's killed

Imagine taking months to build a camp and then just before you move in the flash speed dismantles your entire camp just to prove a point. Or superman just out of kryptonite range melts everything down. Or keep super breathing and causes hind wind issues and delaying construction indefinitely.

If Bane ever bothered to do any research on the TITAN formula, he'd be thanking Batman for destroying it all.
@@jakeblancaster8498 thing is that titan formula was originally banes creation, but was untested and had bad side effects. Doctor young perfected the strain. Problem was that you need a strong mental will to have any consciousness. When bane used tn1 it destroyed his memory and caused him to be weak when it was done, to the point of having even bigger tubes and gears to use the regular venom normally. As we see in origins, he didnt have much tubes or a huge body, but after the transformation he needs bigger tubes in asylum. Joker used the titan strain, but overdosed on the stuff and was dying because of it.
The two tapes of Quincy sharp will be information to close Arkham island and open Arkham city and put strange in charge

Honestly I really really feel bad for Professor Hugo Strange, he might have been like a bad person, but he was a good person back then when he was a senior resident at arkham asylum and believe that he still might be on the inside, and even though he was defeated every person like him deserves a second chance and so does he, and batman was right that he didn't deserve to die, he did need medical attention, and like I said I really really feel bad for him even when he said "I am so close, just give me more time".

The entire scene at the part where Strange demands the Tyger operatives kill you when Strange has his monologue was done brilliantly by you. You fight like the batman.
After playing Batman Arkham Asylum, City, and Origins on the PS3, and seeing the gameplay for the next gen consoles, I can say the games were better on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. But it's amazing getting the chance to watch them again, brings back a lot of memories for me.

Since I played Origins, I'll take back what I said about Strange and Protocol 10 since now I see the difference between Gotham society under Joker and under Strange. Gotham City is so full of crime and corruption because no one was able to make a stand to stop the spread of corruption when it would have made the biggest possible difference.
*Under Joker*
With Joker running free, Gotham is packed with homicide violence that reached a peak. The fall can be attributed to the initiatives of Gordon and the police against drug smugglers and gangs. Joker is expert in causing mayhem and murder. Violence, crumbling infrastructure, political instability, and crime... and not to mention Batman constantly rescues Joker and lets Gordon arrest him and his thugs. Whereas Batman sends off the mass murdering psychos to jail, this will never make Gotham safe. Whenever they break out, he repeats the same trap. Caught up in the cycle of violence, corruption and poverty, young people in Gotham are literally fighting for survival. This renders the Batman as an almost impotent hero. His villains reoccur so often and so quickly that it proves he is not a capable deterrent for major criminals. It’s not Batman’s responsibility to execute murderers, it’s the state’s, if whatever state Gotham is in has the death penalty. Batman simply sets up criminals to do a “job” just so that he can catch them and be the hero. Also please note that most criminals were created as super-villains by Batman himself. And since he lives by a code "no-kill rule", the cycle of mayhem and murder continues.
*Under Strange*
Strange transformed a section of Gotham into a anarchic prison camp if not police state. Now with Strange in charge, massive surveillance system, political prisoners, doctors & nurses were unjustly thrown there too. He sent innocent doctors to treat the Joker, threatened the life of Catwoman's friend as well as kidnapping Nora, manipulating Sharp into making Strange in charge of Arkham City and secretly delivered weapons to Joker and other inmates. While Strange saw the gang war as inconsequential, he did warn the thugs about trying to leave Arkham City. In reality, Strange purposefully exacerbated this gang war so he could complete Ra's al Ghul's purpose of destroying all criminal life. Strange then schemed Protocol 10: the systematic mass slaughter of all of the prison's inmates. In contrast to Joker's love for mass murder and chaos, although Strange is as dreadful as other villains, Strange assumes the stance of a dictator who believes the deaths of criminals gangs are for the greater good of Gotham and other cities. I don't know how Gotham would have been if Batman didn't interfere in stopping Protocol 10.
