Ginger your set analysis ate very precice and nice and now i really understand and respect how deep this game is, because when i play i never think of things like these and thanks to you i know what pros afe doing different then me.Thanks Ginger
@@CoconutJewce mango was actually playing bad against sfat (watch how many times he shook his head). i thought leffen was gonna eat his ass but he played like twice a good randomly.

The way you get blown away by what is mango doing is great. You are talking and then "OH MY THIS IS SO GOOD". It's nice to see someone so passionate about the game

What about shine stall as a mixup against invincible fox? I've had success full hopping after I couldn't run anymore and using shine stall to mixup whether I double jump out or just try to let go of the shine, which can leave you with enough time to whip out a dair as you fall the last few feet to snuff a late punish
I think it's a good mixup. you can also see BBB doing it in the center of the stage, then jumping into an up-b 50/50. well maybe he only does this vs marth, I'm not sure, but it's another option
a lot of things, or nothing, depending on which reads he bets on. but when its ambiguous its usually better to cover the most options, which is what mango's dairs were doing. they just don't cover the shorten. if he read the shortens though he could just land back on stage with no dair to get a f-tilt or smash depending on the height, or just take ledge, or dair further out to recover with up-b, etc. of course if they don't shorten, or up-b instead of side-b, then most of those options put you in a bad position, but leffen was shortening almost every time so it seemed like a safe bet.
9:55 can someone explain this to me a bit more in detail? is holding the c-stick in a certain direction enough to escape? is the direction straight left or right? i also get caught in falco downthrow chain grabs a lot, and I feel like my understanding of how to execute SDI is not correct and im not sure if its my timing or the angle, or that i need to be using both sticks
I'm prolly wrong or don't know about all of the nuances, but I think you can just wiggle the stick left/right and/or up at higher percents to SDI the lasers out of the throw. The lasers are fairly easy to SDI out of, and you can DI the throw as well. You can mix up your SDI on the lasers and the throw to make it really hard to react/follow up. If you play Fox and you're getting caught in dthrows, you get out for free by DI'ing away and shining. And if you're not Fox, you can tech or tech roll. SSBM Tutorials did a short video on it a couple of years ago: th-cam.com/video/QWHjjztkAQ0/w-d-xo.html
@Nicholas Hepner ASDI occurs on the last frame of hitlag via the control stick as well, the benefit of using the C-stick is that it will override the ASDI input from the control stick, meaning you can change directions to hold the stick to DI and use the C-stick to ASDI in a different direction.
Ginger won game 1 on Yoshi's Story, then lost the rest of the set. And Ginger was saying that he isn't good at covering Falco getting off the ledge/that he keeps doing the same option despite it not working. He was criticizing the habit/option that Leffen has and needs to break more than he was critiquing Leffen
Leffen used up all his Chakra to 3-0 hbox. It was a noble sacrifice.

Hahahaha that's perfect
Lmao
ginger ur match against leffen was sick ur combos had me cheering dude, you'll be top 10 in next two years i think
lgdl.y doubtful
Daniel Christensen I guess we will see
T Sean yeah
@@danielchristensen3657 Not technically true because there's no ranking, but he's sorta top ten level now

It's actually the Zhu nair FeelsBadMan
You stole my comment
oko zhus soft hit up air game are fucking insane surprised it doesn’t have a name lol.
Mang0: Fox is the one matchup that I haven't been feeling very comfortable in
Also Mang0: 4 stocks Leffen who just 3-0'd Hbox
fitting tournament name lol goml
And he creampied Sfat, not that that's uncommon. But he really destroyed him.

Find someone who talks about you the way ginger talks about mango
don't find yourself someone who talks about you the way ginger talks about leffen's grab DI

To be frank, I don't think Mango would've won without the Ginger Nair.

Hearing this guy talk about Melee makes it sound a lot deeper than most sports, which is probably is.
Duke depends on the sport Not sure there’s many it’s more complex than.
T Sean you’d be surprised. Most, if not all, sports are very deep at the top level just like Melee
Melee is more complex than dart
Your analysis really reminded me of a chess game. Melee is so good and it's incredible that people exist who can take advantage of its complexity
9:30-9:35 with no context
coolest dude 😂😂
I think the homie stock game 2 should be analyzed on a psychological level. Just look at Leffens reaction to it...
Craig Patt Clearly
always a treat to see ginger analyze mango
I'm 7 minuets in and he's only 19 seconds in. Buckle up boys
was waiting for this :)
Here to say I appreciate the work you do for your channel and improvement. Swear I just saw this set live.
I really love that mang0 calls it the ginger nair too
grat analysis i love the insight. Future tip make sure to move the mouse curser off screen, a distraction and ocd trigger to alot of ppl
“Do the ginger nair, it’s the mang0” lmaooo
I enjoyed this analysis more than PP's

Ginger bro, u r insane. great in depth analysis.
I love your analysis
10:24 those are the leffen faces im here for
"Do the Ginger nair ... it's the Mango.
I think leffens upsmashes were him trying to mixup and catch movement. He seemed to be throwing way too many.
On the other hand Leffen is the best upsmasher of all
I’m impressed with this analysis. I guess I just don’t realize how complicated high level melee can be. But somehow simple at the same time
I wonder how much of this mang0 does instinctually
If ginger would analyse a half an hour set it would take a 4 hour video.

Hey ginger, is there any analysis vid you made where you talk a bit in depth about mango's analog jump lasers?
Ginger at 40:30 can you explain why the downair mis tech read is followed by an up tilt instead of a shine?
I think utilt does more damage and is bigger and the timing fits, so iit's just better and safer than a shine. also probably combos stronger
this is the shortest analysis i've ever seen- just goes to show how good the kid is!
5:48 is literally every mid level Falco in a nutshell 😂
Ginger your mind is so fuckin sharp keep up them gainz boi
Ginger is God tier!
What could Mango have done instead of those dairs off stage by the ledge that kept whiffing because of the shortens?
a lot of things, or nothing, depending on which reads he bets on. but when its ambiguous its usually better to cover the most options, which is what mango's dairs were doing. they just don't cover the shorten. if he read the shortens though he could just land back on stage with no dair to get a f-tilt or smash depending on the height, or just take ledge, or dair further out to recover with up-b, etc. of course if they don't shorten, or up-b instead of side-b, then most of those options put you in a bad position, but leffen was shortening almost every time so it seemed like a safe bet.
