Cinnamon is put in ragú in some European countries (mostly eastern, like Greece ecc), but in Italy it is absolutely not used anywhere, the people from Bologna (where bolognese and all pasta types come from) would definetly be angry if they knew lmao
Traditionally cinnamon is not used in those dishes in Greece (which is a southern European country btw, not Eastern, since I think that term applies to the ex Soviet and ex Socialist countries). In the old times, meaning early 1900s, the refugees that came to Greece from Asia Minor introduced cinnamon to the Greek cuisine but until recently we didn't use it much. The new chefs and younger people who use more complex combinations of seasonings and spices do use cinnamon in those dishes though and I personally do like the taste of it but I find it makes the dish heavier to digest.
I need to try out the honey comb pasta and it held it's shape so well. Looks very delicious and amazing. I also love how you used the baking tray, genius idea.
I'm from Greece and when i saw you make this i was confused because i didn't see pastitsio in the title so i wanted to comment on how similar this is buf you did!! We even do something similar with what you did here but with cannelloni pasta. We stuff them with the meat sauce and after placing them next to each other we drench the whole thing with bechamel and cheese on top. Preety similar to what you did here😊

Tea isn't really English either...if you get my point.. noone is stealing or appropriating anything...🤗

Yes! And you could absolutely serve this to kids - all the alcohol cooks off! 🤗🤗 You’ll know it’s cooked off when you can’t smell the alcohol in it anymore 🤗❤️

An easier way to make the beshamel sauce without wiskin it too much is using the mixture. Mix flour with milk or water beforehand then pour it on the melted butter in your pan, and thoroughly add the milk while mixing it all together. This way it doesn't leave any chunks or pieces and less pain in your arm from whisking.
I could tell that first bite was hot. When you spit it out, the cheese made it look like you were foaming at the mouth. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I love watching you cook. As much as you love to eat, I think you love cooking a little bit more.
