She found a lump in her breast and armpit, got a drs appointment the same day and had a biopsy done in a week. Once she was diagnosed, she started chemo and radiotherapy within a couple of months. She was treated just over a year and the nurses, drs and consultants were amazing. You can wait for health care in the UK, but I'd rather wait for a month than not afford life saving treatment. Everyone pays tax in the UK - approx 8% of our wages go towards national insurance and I don't begrudge it.
@monsterlich They basically have free healthcare, which means they can visit the doctor and get medication for really cheap. The flip side is that the care they receive is very low quality, as is the medication.
Heh, I had insurance when I was in a motocycle accident back in 2007. Unfortunately, I was only working part time (yet I was still a manager, bleh) at Blockbuster Video.. so my care was capped at like $5,000 every year. Between when I had my accident and the surgery, I blew through that $5k before I even set foot in the hospital. By the time my surgery was finished I was left with about $13,000 in debt. Since then, I dont even bother paying for insurance when Im working part time.
The scrubs guys are hilarious! Finally some younger people for reform. Usually younger people my age don't care because they dont realize one day they could become really sick and the bills could be thousands and thousands. I pay for my own insurance do you? It goes up 30%+ most years though I will not be getting a raise this year. We NEED reform now! Thank you scrubs!
I now agree with u! I suppose now is not the time for there to be huge healthcare reform in the US when its economy is not at its best. But I definetly think it needs to happen in the next 5 to 10 years.
@xHippieHunter And show you where you got the number 38000 and explain how you know they all left because of the health care. The U.S. may have better medical facilities, but the thing is if you don't have insurance the ambulance doesn't even bother picking you up, they just die. And the DMV normally only takes 1-2 hours to get helped and that's because it's the great equalizer; it doesn't matter how wealthy you are, you still have to wait as long as everyone else.
@airjordan910 actually I have the seasons on DVD so I pay quite a bit attention to the show and yes I know that they've had a few episodes where they go around the healthcare system to treat patients without insurance like in the episode with doctor kelso's friend. That still doesn't mean I have to agree with Obamacare because believe it or not the show has A LOT of other dimensions. Trust me I pay attention.
@Crazelord91 it's because in u.s. you can buy yourself infront of the line and those like princes of saudi arabia can't really go to a other first world countries because the system doesn't allow them any privileges... that's why many americans seek help from overseas. because the same procedures cost there way less than in the states.
@Davegilcross Did you read the bill? and did you pick up on all the non-healthcare related topics in the bill? and what was the "crisis" that needed to be avoided by passing this bill? and was that crisis going to occur over the ONE night that the bill was rushed into the house and senate for voting? Really now? Really?
Great vid. As much as i like the US, I'm glad I live in the Uk - our NHS treated my mum's cancer and she's been in remission 4 years. I doubt this would have happened in the US.
Insurance companies are spending millions opposing heath care reform. The Hill is awash with lobbyists from the most expensive K Street firms. One exec quit his job when he realized what a mistake he was making opposing health care reform.
'An american jouralist wrote that if Steven Hawkin were British then he would never have survived because of the poor servise from the NHS. I have only two things to say, he is British and he said that he owed his life to the NHS'...
@OkJohnnyLetsGo the best healthcare system is french. the second is the italian healthcare system. it's not my opinion but a result of a research made by WHO (World Health Organization)
@thomassandwich I think that greedy ungodly rich people should be forced to give at least a small portion of their money away because most of them got lucky and struck gold to earn it. 90% of this nations wealth is owned by the top 1% richest people in it, and most of them use that money just to make more while other peoplle (usually who are poor because corporations run them out of buisness) starve. If rich people werent so greedy, their would be no need for sociolism
answer me this....If the health care program they are proposing is so great, why have they exempt every member of the house and senate from the program? And if it's a so called option why then if you decide against health insurace they will fine you over 3000 dollars?
@Isadrierian yeah cause you'd obviously hop around on the spot laughing and being happy bringing fairy tales and candy when you see people ruining your brand new car.
@xHippieHunter dude, I'm guessing that you had a long wait because your situation wasn't urgent compared to those who had hard attacks or were critically injured, there would be no difference between the government providing health care and having the entire population use private healthcare insurance, one's just easier to do and puts less strain on the poor (you know those people you call moochers) and the middle class.
@245tri0xin AMEN!!!! It's amazing that there are so many people here in America that think THEY deserve something that they don't work for or "Think" they work for.
Damn straight you guys should have free health care. We got it 60 years ago and magically, our life expectancy went WAY up. You guys don't HAVE to use it. You aren't being forced by gun point. But the fact that I can go to my hospital and not worry about bills is fantastic.
8% is nothing when we get free medical care - free doctors appointments etc. Private insurance in the UK is more expensive than our tax. The NHS isn't perfect, but we're bloody proud of it. It's ours, not some conglomerate, and the way some people in the US refer to it as socialised medicine is bizarre. A lot of people in the UK are furious with the way some Americans slate it. We're not a nation of communists, we just believe that everyone who is sick should be helped.
@yodathedeathshadow Some don't have the money that's right. Good observation. How do you know I have the money though? Who says I've ever been to the doctor? I simply ask, why should I be REQUIRED to pay for someone/everyone like you to go to the hospital? Because... if I'm required to, then how does that make me free? I still don't see the point you're trying to make... How am I selfish again?
@louis1x I know exactly what I am talking about. I don't remember saying anywhere that healthcare reform wasn't necessary, but I do believe that it is morally and constitutionally wrong to put it in the hands of the government for them to control it. I think the reform needs to be made within the insurance companies. The government has no right to FORCE ANYTHING from ANYONE. That goes against our RIGHT of liberty. Healthcare isn't a right it's a privilege.
@itsameMARIO94 is that y ppl come to the US for surgery n other extensive procedures
Thank god President Faison and Vice President Braff were able to pass the healthcare bill so quickly!
how meet zach donald?
She found a lump in her breast and armpit, got a drs appointment the same day and had a biopsy done in a week. Once she was diagnosed, she started chemo and radiotherapy within a couple of months. Amen boys. amen.
Я ничего не понял, переведите плиз((
@MsSunshine831 why is zach wearing a shirt!?
@monsterlich They basically have free healthcare, which means they can visit the doctor and get medication for really cheap. The flip side is that the care they receive is very low quality, as is the medication.
@MsSunshine831 So...why is zach wearing a shirt...? D:
Health insurance... What a funny concept.

Heh, I had insurance when I was in a motocycle accident back in 2007. I now agree with u! I suppose now is not the time for there to be huge healthcare reform in the US when its economy is not at its best. But I definetly think it needs to happen in the next 5 to 10 years.
@Metallideth1993 we got it in canada to!
Did Donald lose his shirt?
soooooo...why was turk not wearing a shirt?? just wondering
@xHippieHunter And show you where you got the number 38000 and explain how you know they all left because of the health care. Loving the free health care here in Canada!

why doesn't he have a shirt on?
Donald looks great
Why was Donald topless?
Why not?
I gave this video a thumbs up for Zach Braff and Donald Faison. Not because of healthcare reform.
uhm i dunno why donald isnt wearing a shirt but it attracted me to this video
I Needed Stiches From Cuttin Myself While Trimmin My Afro.
@Neotrunx You noticed that too! Yet when he has his shirt on he looks nothing like the Old Spice guy. Weird.
outside of scrubs, theyre still looking great working together ^^
@Omgosh120 he really does
Yeah, well that makes perfect sense :P Yes, I have all 8+1 seasons.
why is donald shirtless? I'm totally encourage it, but am just curious
his lack of shirt is a plot device, because without it the nipple joke would'nt work
@MarilyHearts lol because they disagree with what you think?
@Crazelord91 it's because in u.s. you can buy yourself infront of the line and those like princes of saudi arabia can't really go to a other first world countries because the system doesn't allow them any privileges...
that's why many americans seek help from overseas. because the same procedures cost there way less than in the states.

@Leonie208 Correction... Privilege. People here in America get those two words confused all the time.
Where is Donalds shirt? Hahaha
@Backward4ward ...What other race can grow an afro?
Zach telling Donald that he should have those nipples removed is so JD.
@TheHolyLuc Yea, same in Denmark :D
@pathend i was think the same thing
"You should have those nipples removed"
"No Thank you"
@OhLookItsMapheu He has hair in season 6.. lol
@Neotrunx
i thought the same, lol..
So...why is donald not wearing a shirt...? :D
and there is the reason why there should be a season 10 or actually a new season 9 i mean guys you all know what i want to say
zach braff sounds like barney! LMAO
Cutting down prices by not regulating... Damn so many economy experts here.
@Diebnak No. No you did not understand it correctly. "Peeing blood".
@bmyrab I'm pretty sure the Old Spice guy looks nothing like the Old Spice guy with his shirt on.
No Zach Braff!! WHY!!
Great vid. As much as i like the US, I'm glad I live in the Uk - our NHS treated my mum's cancer and she's been in remission 4 years. I doubt this would have happened in the US.
Think America, I'm Canadian but I love you, do it.
There should be a law that Donald can never wear a shirt. That would be an amazing law.
AYE, THERE'S THE RUB
He's not wearing a shirt for the last line. omfg
Oh hey yeah we should listen to them because they're famous. That automatically means they're experts on what people pay them to say.
i miss scrubs
@superbaron1 completely agree people feel they deserve everything in this country without having to do anything for it
@BountyBiZZ
Because he can? :D
hahaHAHHAH
god i Fucking love scrubs !!!!!!
S01-S08
Insurance companies are spending millions opposing heath care reform. The Hill is awash with lobbyists from the most expensive K Street firms. One exec quit his job when he realized what a mistake he was making opposing health care reform.
I agree with a lot of what they're saying here, but I have a question. Why the hell isn't Donald Faison wearing a damn shirt?
'An american jouralist wrote that if Steven Hawkin were British then he would never have survived because of the poor servise from the NHS. I have only two things to say, he is British and he said that he owed his life to the NHS'...
@OkJohnnyLetsGo the best healthcare system is french. the second is the italian healthcare system. it's not my opinion but a result of a research made by WHO (World Health Organization)
@tbonetyrant no, about $3.50
Side effects of kittens may include allergies, and tiny scratches.
no matter what, you can all agree that zach had dynamite areolas haaaa!
@8yume hahaha Oh my god I can't stop laughing one of the best replies I have ever heard nice one
...why are people posting comments to this video with words seemingly at random, capitalised?
Are they campaigning for free healthcare like we have here in the UK?
@thomassandwich I think that greedy ungodly rich people should be forced to give at least a small portion of their money away because most of them got lucky and struck gold to earn it. 90% of this nations wealth is owned by the top 1% richest people in it, and most of them use that money just to make more while other peoplle (usually who are poor because corporations run them out of buisness) starve. as a UK citizen i cannot begin to imagine what it would be like without the NHS. and the US is supposed to be a developed nation!!
answer me this....If the health care program they are proposing is so great, why have they exempt every member of the house and senate from the program? And if it's a so called option why then if you decide against health insurace they will fine you over 3000 dollars?
I think a better question is why is Zach still wearing one
@Isadrierian yeah cause you'd obviously hop around on the spot laughing and being happy bringing fairy tales and candy when you see people ruining your brand new car.
@xHippieHunter dude, I'm guessing that you had a long wait because your situation wasn't urgent compared to those who had hard attacks or were critically injured, there would be no difference between the government providing health care and having the entire population use private healthcare insurance, one's just easier to do and puts less strain on the poor (you know those people you call moochers) and the middle class.
@PummeFee007 Alright ^^ then its okay :D
@245tri0xin AMEN!!!! It's amazing that there are so many people here in America that think THEY deserve something that they don't work for or "Think" they work for.
That's because they're best friends in real life :)
Damn straight you guys should have free health care. We got it 60 years ago and magically, our life expectancy went WAY up. You guys don't HAVE to use it. You aren't being forced by gun point. But the fact that I can go to my hospital and not worry about bills is fantastic.
Lucky for me I live in Sweden.. Free healthcare..
