The scene with Denji and Katana clashing is from a Japanese horror comedy movie. Same with the scene where Denji looks horrified and Power walks up behind him

Someone might of said it already, but in Shouen Jump there’s a group of manga called the “Dark Trio”, which is made up of CSM, JJK, and Hell’s Paradise since they have similar dark, gore themes. On top of that the three series are being animated by Mappa. From what I’ve heard the authors of JJK and CSM are fans of each other’s work.

The first few minutes of the episode where Denji is dreading to walk up to the door is ACTUALLY just footage of the average Studio MAPPA employee walking to the office knowing that their schedule will be crazy due to them having animating so many high quality animes this season😌and if you pay ckose attention, you will hear them whisper "I hope that once I am done I will get enough free time to spend with my family"
The comparison to Denji and a Dog is one of the big themes in the series, it’s sad/happy/gory as hell, but absolutely heartbreaking and incredible this show is an absolute gem already, so glad your watching! 🪚🪚🔥🔥🙏🙏

This first episode really showcases why the manga author Fujimoto is so beloved: simple but not too simple, to the point writing with no fluff, that leaves you wanting more. He also throws you for a loop ALOT & whenever you think you can predict where the story goes, Fujimoto's like "Nope you thought wrong." As a lover of the manga i cannot wait to see the future reactions to some of the more crazy episodes later on.

Most reactors dealing with anime series usually pick at least a couple of seasonal titles to follow as they debut, but the Normies never really tried that approach (which prevented them from taking advantage of the momentum, imo). So it's really refreshing to see them start a brand new show along with the rest of the anime community. Let's hope for this to be the beginning of a new trend (so let's make sure to show them some love)! Especially since I'm sure they would *love* certain new seasonal series. Like Spy x Family.

I'm so happy Mickey noticed the Lebowski reference! The intro has a bunch of movie references in it too not just that one! there's Pulp Fiction, the Ring and No Country for Old Men too!!!. I love the manga and this first episode was fantastic! the only negative I have is that they decided to slap a 3D model of chainsaw man in there for the main action sequence when everything else was so beautifully animated (and MAPPA have shown they can hand animate amazing fight sequences with JJK). It's disappointing but I'll let it slide because the story will be able to carry it past that one nitpick.
I understand what your saying but imagine it being hard to animate three moving chainsaws (2 in his hands and his head) simultaneously in 2D animation. I thought it looked decent from what I have seen.
This show is so good. After 3 episodes, it's my favorite show off all time already. It's been decades since I last was so giddy and excited by some piece of fiction. The last show I remember coming even close was Suzumiya Haruhi no yuuutsu. Might not be everyones cup of tea, but I hope everyone finds something that gives them as much joy as this show has done for me.
Finally iv'e been waiting for the anime for time since the first part of the manga ended and now that's it's here and it looks and sounds this amazing i'm happy af. for you guys to watch this weekly is the icing on the cake for me.
It's funny that you mentioned Quentin Tarantino after Denji killed the Zombie Devil, because Fujimoto's works (not only Chainsaw Man) really feel like if Tarantino was a mangaka. Not to the point where it feels like a copy, I don't mean that. But Chainsaw Man really has a similar vibe most of the time to Tarantino's works if you ask me, when it comes to action, twists, how the characters interact with each other and the comedy.

When an anime episode first comes out, most of the time, it's censored for broadcast on Japanese TV, and excessive blood definitely qualifies for that censorship. They remove the censorship in the Blu-Ray release. But this episode aired without any of the typical censorship you would expect.
The devils in this series is based on fear. For example: fear of chainsaw (chainsaw devil), fear of knives (Blade devil), fear of tomato (tomato devil). The more scary the phobia/fear is, the stronger the devil. The tomato in the beginning is weak because its rare for people to fear tomatoes

Chainsaw Man has the potential to become the next major mainstream anime and gain a massive following like Attack on Titan throughout the whole world. Some will say it has already surpassed Attack on Titan, and that has already defined this generation. Manga readers will tell you that this is a 10/10 masterpiece series with great characters, story, and themes, and that has literally no flaws, meaning this is a rare series that has literaly no constructive criticisms. Also, people will say ChainsawMan is the greatest ever made in the history of all mangas and animes.
It has one flaw in my opinion. It is the character depth, the manga feels like a documentary rather than a story. 98% of the time you go from one major thing to another without spending proper time with the main characters. Take Power for example, there was literally a training chapter with Denji and power, but we never saw a proper fight for Power. I also wanted more time with Makima. But its still 10/10 series for me.
I wouldn't say it's zero flaws, it's just that one person's flaw is another person's awesome quirk. Something that was awesome week to week might be confusing while binge reading, etc. It's a really great story though, I thought reading the manga was more fun then watching most Anime.

Chainsaw Man has the potential to become the next major mainstream anime and gain a massive following like Attack on Titan throughout the whole world. Some will say it has already surpassed Attack on Titan, and that has already defined this generation.
Manga readers will tell you that this is a 10/10 masterpiece series with great characters, story, and themes, and that has literally no flaws, meaning this is a rare series that has literaly no constructive criticisms. Also, people will say ChainsawMan is the greatest ever made in the history of all mangas and animes.
Ok now, let's not over hype it and disappoint ourselves in the end since the Manga is still ongoing.
It has one flaw in my opinion. It is the character depth, the manga feels like a documentary rather than a story. 98% of the time you go from one major thing to another without spending proper time with the main characters. Take Power for example, there was literally a training chapter with Denji and power, but we never saw a proper fight for Power. I also wanted more time with Makima. But its still 10/10 series for me.

I wouldn't say it's zero flaws, it's just that one person's flaw is another person's awesome quirk. Something that was awesome week to week might be confusing while binge reading, etc. It's a really great story though, I thought reading the manga was more fun then watching most Anime.
@@ayeon5609 rather it is direct and simpler than those two that you mention, in the end the different jumps between situations that they give, is like this to show us enough of each character, there is no need to add anything since all the characters are already developed, besides , that of the fights goes more to the opinion of one, than a flawXD
