Suleiman doesn't want to accept that Hürrem will die and tries to find a cure for her. Meanwhile, Lala Mustafa Pasha takes Selim's side and sets a trap for Bayezid. Bayezid loses his temper because of the letter he received from Lala Mustafa and wages battle against Selim. Signor Pedro offers Mihrimah to run away together. Rüstem loses his all faith for Mihrimah and gets close with Signora Mendes. Suleiman and Hürrem wrestle with their consciences in Bursa where they have gone fır finding a cure. While Suleiman taking the hardest test of his life in Mustafa's tomb, Hürrem asks for Mihrimah's blessing. Hürrem accepts the death and asks for a wish from Suleiman. This wish sets Suleiman's heart on fire.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I never got so emotional in any movies or drama i have watched until this show! Hurrem old and new did a fantastic job! All of the characters bought joy, suspense and sorrow to the story with their acting skills! All the death scenes were so emotional from Ibrahim to Hatice to Mustafa and Janghir!

RUSTEM's acting performance, he's facial expressions NOT ONLY ANNOYED ME from time to time, but I've laughed several times too, especially his jealousy with Mirimah's doctor...what an actor performance!!! During his MEMORY SADNESS FROM HIS BROTHER & SISTER...I began to understand his bitterness and ambition, but the unresolved issues have made him real ARROGANT like Hurrem the INSECURED AMBITIOUS EX-SLAVE!!

His heart was more pure than selim's.. But he wasn't throne material because of that temper.. All the rest was good, but his lack of discipline and emotion regulation, ruined it for him.. He had so many qualities, but he lacked the most important one to be a ruler..

This series has been the wildest ride. Such highs and the deepest lows. I have enjoyed the brilliant acting, and as I devour each chapter of this saga, I bemoan the fact that my favorite characters come ever closer to the inevitable. This has been such a satisfying story.

can Mahidevran’s character in this series be more hypocritical. She dares to lecture the sultan about the sultanate but she once eyed that sultanate more than anything else. She even poisoned Mehmed for it. She had forgotten her days of gold plates and cups and the best silks and fabrics when she bankrupt the harem 😂 my least favorite character is mahi.

In my humble opinion this scene between Mahidevran and Hurrem is the most powerful scene in the entire saga. It's deep, beautiful and gut wrenching, yet reveals some of the finest human emotions with absolute refinement. Just love this.

I never really understood Mihrima’s character completely. She was the princess that had the whole world at her fingertips, yet at the same time the man she was throwing herself at barely tolerated her. She’s literally ready to go for ANY man that even looks at her, while she treats Rustem who’s obsessed with her like a pest. If Rustem ignored and rejected her from the beginning like Malkacoglu she probably would have been crazy for him.

It was good that Mahmud II dissolved the Janissaries. They had become a threat to internal security. Similar to the stilts in Russia, they tried to determine the heir to the throne or depose the ruler. That was definitely reflected in the series. I think a fiction should add protagonists to make the plot more exciting. Fiction should not attempt to denigrate historical figures or rewrite history.
First the two fanatical murderers were at Mustafa's side and pushed him down a path that then brought him death. Now these two murderers are at Bayezid's side, manipulating him in Mustafa's name. With that, the end of Bayezid is already certain.
Reading all these comments and Mahidevran is getting all the hate. So only Hurrem's evilness is justified? Wasn't Mahi working towards the same purpose, i.e. protecting herself and her only son? Smh @ yall for constantly bashing her in the comments 😆 .. Their (Mahi & Hurrem) goals were the same to me. Although no sin is greater than the other, Hurrem was the most cunning and vindictive. She throws parties in the harem in celebration of her victories, but just cause Mahi smiled when Mehmet died, yall wanna crucify her. Who knows, Mustafa could've set a precedent by changing that fratricide law because he had grown fond of his brothers.
My heart goes out to Mihedevran. She has lost so much. Her husband in the beginning, her beloved son , her beloved grandson, her sons wife to suicide and her sons daughter being married off. Plus shes lost all her money. I'm surprised she can still stand.what more can she live for except to be near her sons grave.
When Selim is the Sultan he helped her a lot, gave her properties back and a allowance.
