I just can't adjust myself to this new Hurrem. She just can't fit in my mind as Hurrem. Meryem Uzerli's personality, her aura, her laugh, her eye expressions. Just everything about her was so beautiful. So on point. Not too much. Not too less. I can't even feel the love between Sultan Suleiman & the New Hurrem. Just doesn't feel right. Meryem Uzerli is the only Hurrem for me. You're missed a lot. Thank you for giving us such wonderful experience to watch you play Hurrem Sultan. ❤️❤️

Unpopular opinion: I like the new Hurrem. She is a suitable replacement and more appropriate to the storyline. Older and much wiser at age 50+. After several years kidnapped and held in captivity, her face has aged from the stress and recent death of her beloved son Mehmet. She is dignified and equal to her husband, who has also shown age in body and face. Her younger years of loud, boisterous behaviour replaced with a experienced, fierce, yet calm confidence that makes her much more formidable.
I seriously thought I missed an episode or something! Hurrem returns, rescued by Bali Bey and (after HOW MANY YEARS of absence again??!!) there are no scenes of welcome back, from anyone but Suleiman, no heartwarming and tear jerking hugs with Mihrimah, nothing! And don't make me start on the lack of her finding out and reacting to the news of Mehmet's passing away, not to mention PROPER mourning over Mehmet! Her FIRST BORN and the most beloved son... and not even one scene!! It's just... jarring. What kind of writing is that? I feel robbed.

After that in grief of his brother mustafa cihangir died.

I always felt sorry for Mahidevran and even though she did all the evil, I thought she did it because of how Suleyman treated her, BUT after Mehmet's death I lost that little respect for her and I dont feel sorry for her anymore.

Every time when Suleiman gets confused seeing his princes fighting over power,whenever Mihrimah gets disappointed over his brothers, whenever Suleiman feels hopeless about this endless search for perfect heir of the throne...I remember Mehmed. He was the most similar reflection of his father and a Sultan. Obviously Suleiman missed his most favorite son whenever he looked into the future of Ottomans. The best candidate to me for the throne was definetely şehzade Mehmet if they didn't kill him. He was the best balanced one out all his brothers. Kindhearted, devoted, determined, fair and intelligent. Mustapha doesn't listen and gets influenced really easily, Cihangir can not rule the empire for obvious reasons, finally selim and bayezid are kids who can not stay together more than 5 minutes without killing each other, both too hot headed to manage any kind of situation. It somewhat gives me goosebumps seeing Cihangir during the sword ceremony forgetting his lines and his father helped him. It symbolizes one thing, father and son united.
I find it really hard continuing watching the show without the actual actress who plays Hürrem. She's the one who carried the entire show, along with Sultan Süleyman and the great presence of Ibrahim Pasha( even though I hated his character) Meryem uzerli gave so much life to the character, she's definetely missed. You will always be our eternal Hürrem Sultan 🌹❤
My 2nd time watching and I will always absolutely love how the Sultan and even the head of the army helps the youngest son. I love him the most. He has both his parents sense of humor and smarts. 😁
I don't mind the new actress; I understand the circumstances and think that for an older, wiser Hurrem, she suits the role well. What confuses me is the lack of transition between episode 103 and 104. It was really sloppy and disorganized. Mehmet didn't get a funeral? Do we not see Hurrem finding out about his death? What about Sehzade Mustafa, does he suspect Mahidevran? What happened to Suleiman Pasa, now Rustem Pasa is the Grand Vizier? There are a lot of plotholes that don't add up between the last episode and this one, which is my only issue.
My dear!! There are no plot holes but time leap. Time has gone forward, suleiman pasha is probably dead. Rustem pasha has finally became grand vizier.. Kids are all grown up.. Hurrem is still burning over mehmed death.. but years have passed they can't show her mourning now.. That's how time leap works in dramas :)
To me cihangir would have been the best king he's so smart, he has amazing self control and he's well educated just like his father Also what happened to the brothers they loved each other so much in this episode how sad that they lost each other over a worthless throne

At first I thought the new Hurrem was awful, but the more I watched the more I accepted how she fit in. Hurrem as a character really evolved through the series, from a young, immature woman to one who was able to manage her emotions to meet her goals. I think a lot of watchers are unable to see the new Hurrem as another level of emotional change. Can’t forget she was captured and who knows what she suffered at the hands of her captors for years. Not to mention how broken she likely became without Suleyman or her children. And as soon as she returns, she learns of Mehmet’s death. Literally everything she worked to avoid happened. Who she is now is not the same exact person and losing each other for so long altered the way Hurrem and Suleyman expressed their love for each other. I think the new Hurrem embodies all of this really well. Only thing that bothers me is her accent… I don’t speak Turkish but I can tell the difference in the accent and how Hurrem spoke compared to the others was part of what defined her character.
Wow! I ususally skip this scene because I don't want too see Chiangir's discomfort. But this time I watched it! LOVED how the Jannisarries & Suleiman stepped in to support him so he could complete the last line! That was awesome. Even though disabled, he was loved.
Another unnecessary thing. Cihangir was said to be the most intelligent of Suleiman's childre because his parents had time to bring him up without any interference. He had medical problem not psychological ones, someone who read and discussed books with foremost educators in Europe and Asia in medieval time cannot recite few lines 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

Cihangir was made to look as if physiologic impairment is the same as psychological. Still maintain, according to true history, he was the best educated among Suleiman's sons and Mustapha the least because he refused to have formal education and Hurrem with support of Suleiman made her children go to school. So they were not showing nervousness but incompetence

Based on all the shows I’ve watched, the next sultan will be the surviving prince of the last sultan. Mehmet was never a sultan so his son can’t be unless all of Süleyman’s princes are dead.
Yh he would. But historically Memhed had a daughter. I think it's the same in the show. In history Hurrem was recorded taking care of the girl because she was her grandchild. But we don't know much about what happened to her after Hurrems death.
In fact, Mehmet had a daughter, with the name Humashah, whom after his death had taken under her protection, Hurrem. This Humashah and Ayse Humashah, the daughter of Mihrimah, became very powerful in the following years.
Really, REALLY BAD decision not to explain what Hürrem lived through in her absence and how she found out about her beloved Mehmet's death. Also the new actress is very good only she should've tried to capture some of the younger Hürrem's qualties, if only for consistency and transition. Sure Hürrem will be more mature and wiser but her general character...her ability to be sweet/joyful/funny, and her chemistry with Suleiman...are entirely missing here.
New Hürrem (Vahide Perçin) is such a masterful player that you will understand what I mean in the following sections. I had a hard time watching it years ago, but after a few episodes you'll get used to it. The next episodes will be the old age parts of the series and the new Hürrem will adapt better to Süleyman. After that, you will see a more mature, authoritative Hürrem. Meryem Uzerli, on the other hand, was suited to the more crazy full youth role. Vahide Perçin was the best choice for her mature period.
You're right; this is the second time I watch the series after years, and I thought the actress for this role was the best decision to play mature Hurrem; in later episodes you can feel the power and authority she erradiates in the character! She is also amazing!! great actress!
Good to see that Rustem really cares and loves Mihrimah by heart. During their bethrothal all i could think of him was an opportunist. Now it's different.
I think it’s one of the main reasons that Hurrem wanted them to marry. Yes, Rustem was on her side. But he genuinely loves Mihirmah. That’s worth a lot and something that Mihirmah wouldn’t know is so important .
Imagine if she forced Bali Bey to marry her. He would've never loved her genuinely, he'd be doing his duty as serving the dynasty but it can never be genuine. Would only be humiliating to Mihrimah having to force a man to love her.
The new Hurrem is good as a mother and the queen but I guess Suleman is also finding it difficult to adjust with her as their beautiful romance has just disappeared. Which hurts, because it use to show how much they love each other.

I understand Suleyman's decision to give Manisa to Selim...he wanted to give chance to one person nobody expected to be send to most important province (a way to throne) and also teach some humility to Mustafa. Sultan made desicion before they all tried to infuence him...and for Hurrem, shame...she gives name of Selim because she does not want to risk Bayezid's life, her firstborn was killed because he got Manisa and was seen as threat to Mustafa...so Hurrem decided to put Selim on line, thinking nobody will consider him wordy pretender to throne...how wrong they all have been :)
I didn’t enjoy this last part of the series not just because Hurrem had changed but the lack of continuity with season 3 was abysmal. I think the new Hurrem would have been accepted more easily if we had been given a bit more information about where she had been, how long, etc.etc.
None can take the place of Mareyum (previous Hurrem actress). That's called "idol acting skills", one of a kind acting,& she definitely demonstrated unbeatable acting skills, range of emotions, character understanding, voice control, catered facial & gesture expressions. She deserves awards for her irreplaceable talent though she's no longer in this. TREMENDOUSLY MISS HER HERE!

I blame Valide Suleiman for how things turned out. She should not have backed Mahidevran to commit crimes against Hurrem and cover them up. The lack of justice led Hurrem to fight back, leading to an escalation of tension, strife and deaths
I have been watching since Episode 1 but this Episode put me in tears especially during Chihangir's oath, the way his father has helped him with the forgotten lines. That's unconditional love from a father. 🥺

OK but, hurrem and Mustafa actually have a good chemistry as mother and son. The way horrem talking to mustafa has more bond than Mustafa and mahidevran. Hurrem may worn Mustafa, but still gave him a very powerful advice.

Since the first Hurem was changed, this movie becomes very boring. The most interesting of this movie in every serie is the act of Hurem. She really smart how to act when she is showing anger, lové romantism, revenge, greedy of power, accusation and sadness. She really has that all characters applied by her eyes, face and her body language. But the Second Hurem is not able to apply all those characters on her eyes, face or her body language. The second Hurem showes happiness or sadness on the same face, no différent at all. She is really dissapointing😝

He was the most similar reflection of his father and a Sultan. Obviously Suleiman missed his most favorite son whenever he looked into the future of Ottomans. Everything would have been fine if Mehmed was there.
I think the new Hurrem shows the character of a mature mother (Valide Sultan), while the old Hurrem shows the character of a wife (Haseki Sultan).

Mustapha doesn't listen and gets influenced really easily, Cihangir can not rule the empire for obvious reasons, finally selim and bayezid are kids who can not stay together more than 5 minutes without killing each other, both too hot headed to manage any kind of situation.

I don't mind the new actress; I understand the circumstances and think that for an older, wiser Hurrem, she suits the role well. What confuses me is the lack of transition between episode 103 and 104. It was really sloppy and disorganized. Mehmet didn't get a funeral? Do we not see Hurrem finding out about his death? What about Sehzade Mustafa, does he suspect Mahidevran? What happened to Suleiman Pasa, now Rustem Pasa is the Grand Vizier? There are a lot of plotholes that don't add up between the last episode and this one, which is my only issue.

At first I thought the new Hurrem was awful, but the more I watched the more I accepted how she fit in. Hurrem as a character really evolved through the series, from a young, immature woman to one who was able to manage her emotions to meet her goals. I think a lot of watchers are unable to see the new Hurrem as another level of emotional change. Can’t forget she was captured and who knows what she suffered at the hands of her captors for years. Not to mention how broken she likely became without Suleyman or her children. And as soon as she returns, she learns of Mehmet’s death. Literally everything she worked to avoid happened. Who she is now is not the same exact person and losing each other for so long altered the way Hurrem and Suleyman expressed their love for each other. I think the new Hurrem embodies all of this really well. Only thing that bothers me is her accent… I don’t speak Turkish but I can tell the difference in the accent and how Hurrem spoke compared to the others was part of what defined her character.
The older Hurrem is just as good as the younger one. Keep watching she’s stronger then ever!

Wow! I ususally skip this scene because I don't want too see Chiangir's discomfort. But this time I watched it! LOVED how the Jannisarries & Suleiman stepped in to support him so he could complete the last line! That was awesome. Even though disabled, he was loved.
Another unnecessary thing. Cihangir was said to be the most intelligent of Suleiman's childre because his parents had time to bring him up without any interference. He had medical problem not psychological ones, someone who read and discussed books with foremost educators in Europe and Asia in medieval time cannot recite few lines 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

Cihangir was made to look as if physiologic impairment is the same as psychological. Still maintain, according to true history, he was the best educated among Suleiman's sons and Mustapha the least because he refused to have formal education and Hurrem with support of Suleiman made her children go to school. So they were not showing nervousness but incompetence

Really, REALLY BAD decision not to explain what Hürrem lived through in her absence and how she found out about her beloved Mehmet's death.
Also the new actress is very good only she should've tried to capture some of the younger Hürrem's qualties, if only for consistency and transition. Sure Hürrem will be more mature and wiser but her general character...her ability to be sweet/joyful/funny, and her chemistry with Suleiman...are entirely missing here.

New Hürrem (Vahide Perçin) is such a masterful player that you will understand what I mean in the following sections. I had a hard time watching it years ago, but after a few episodes you'll get used to it. The next episodes will be the old age parts of the series and the new Hürrem will adapt better to Süleyman. After that, you will see a more mature, authoritative Hürrem. Meryem Uzerli, on the other hand, was suited to the more crazy full youth role. Vahide Perçin was the best choice for her mature period.

Sultan made desicion before they all tried to infuence him...and for Hurrem, shame...she gives name of Selim because she does not want to risk Bayezid's life, her firstborn was killed because he got Manisa and was seen as threat to Mustafa...so Hurrem decided to put Selim on line, thinking nobody will consider him wordy pretender to throne...how wrong they all have been :)

I didn’t enjoy this last part of the series not just because Hurrem had changed but the lack of continuity with season 3 was abysmal. I think the new Hurrem would have been accepted more easily if we had been given a bit more information about where she had been, how long, etc.etc.
They showed it with the seasons. Taking the campaign into account. It was probably 3-4 years
None can take the place of Mareyum (previous Hurrem actress). That's called "idol acting skills", one of a kind acting,& she definitely demonstrated unbeatable acting skills, range of emotions, character understanding, voice control, catered facial & gesture expressions. She deserves awards for her irreplaceable talent though she's no longer in this. TREMENDOUSLY MISS HER HERE!

Since the first Hurem was changed, this movie becomes very boring. The most interesting of this movie in every serie is the act of Hurem.
She really smart how to act when she is showing anger, lové romantism, revenge, greedy of power, accusation and sadness. She really has that all characters applied by her eyes, face and her body language. But the Second Hurem is not able to apply all those characters on her eyes, face or her body language.
The second Hurem showes happiness or sadness on the same face, no différent at all. She is really dissapointing😝
Agree..I was so shocked to see the person when she came back was not the same person as the previous one ( Meryem Uzerli). So I lost interest to watch the following episodes.
Maybe it's because Meryem role Hurrem since the very first. She's growing it and she went through Hurrem story so she is so believable

I agree it feels rushed but this episode was the start of the 4th and final season so I believe they chose to treat it like a small time jump
Although i hate rustem but he's by far most loving and dedicated husband in this story. He cares for mihrimah wholeheartedly.
