great video.... however, i notice when you talked about the boiler you referenced its design as that of LMS lines. actally based on the swindon number 2 boiler with shortened barrrel. does say on box in the history too. anyway great video and sorry for the nit pick correction
Sadly ended up scraping my 4MT the rear truck on her kept derailing so i tried too modify it to take an old hornby style pony truck but that just made things worse
Hi Jenny. I rarely buy a loco these days without checking out your expert reviews. You and SamsTrains are my "go to" reviewers. It's so very helpful to be able watch and listen to balanced, informed critical and entertaining assessments of these now very expensive models, prior to spending a hefty chunk of my hard earned cash. Many thanks, Stephen
Ive had mine since they 1st came out 12 year ago and she been running fine i use mine on a 4 coach local or the branch line mixed goods and I never knew she was that much of a power house though
Another great review. The SC under the shedplate stands for Self Cleaning smokebox. The BR Standard 3MT 2-6-2T was based on the Stanier Class 3 2-6-2 T but built with a much better boiler and front end steaming ability.
I also like the larger Tank Locos. I am trying to restore a V1/3 with an LNER livery top. I have located a company that makes replacement Valve Gear in the UK at a very good price. They are currently on the slow boat to Bangkok. I have some early crest British Railway Locos and like Hendy Ford said, "You can have one in any colour as long as it is black" Martin. (Thailand) (Roundhouse?)
If you don’t waste your money on cigarettes and booze or having children then it’s as asset as well as an enjoyable hobby! Add to that that the collection has been built up over a number of years, it doesn’t work out too bad. Also some of these models were purchased when prices weren’t as expensive as they are today! Great collection Jenny!👍👍👍👍👌👏👏👏👏

I used to have one when I was still in 00 gauge. Great models they run super well.
The Bachmann class 3MT and 4MT are my favorite locos out of my entire collection. Great all rounders.

Amazing layout Jenny the attention to detail is outstanding, she certainly knows her stuff 👍
Hello Jennyfer, the details of this Bachmann 3MT are very good!
The shed plate is missing. The 5c is actually SC indicating the smoke box is self cleaning
Geat review, Jen. A surprisingly powerful little loco.

Great video
I have a 3MT in my collection it is 82021 with the early emblem
Can you put a HM7000 sound decoder in it ?
It would be a tight fit but I think possible.
Jenny can the slimline tension lock coupling be changed out for kadees?
Yes they can.
I have a 1963 triang 3mt.
How much money have you spent on the hobby ? Only all those loco's cost a fortune !
You do realize second-hand models are a thing and plenty of model shops do sales.

@@wamgoc But an impressive collection !
Second rule of railway modelling is never add up how much you have spent.
I second the "second rule"... it can be really frightening after 30 years or so?
