Thanks for sharing your experiments. I have a 350 xcf-w which came stock with 13/52. I found that a little too low. I really like 13/50 for technical trails, but it is way too low for street. For dual sport rides I swap to 14/50. It is definitely better for street, but still not great. I miss the 13T front on steep or technical sections though. I tried 14/48 for one ride, but found I was constantly wanting to be in-between gears - the same as with the 13/52. I may give it another try though for easier dual sport rides.
Nice video bro! I like how you took the bike out and experimented with the different gearing. Felt hands on. I haven’t found any other vids that demonstrate in that way. Thanks man!
Damn, so helpful! I also have a 2018 350 excf and searched everywhere for a sprocket comparison vid. I'm going to try the 14/48 setup,, am I correct that you can still stick with the stock chain length?
@@MobMoto should it be ok for 13 miles each way once a week at 70? I only commute to the office once a week, mostly just want the option to take the bike when I do because there is some good riding near my work that I may hit after work a few times. Also what sprocket setup would you recommend for that?
@@MobMoto oh I'm a gluten, I'll just do it and then regret it the next day lol Just as long as the bike can take it, will have to get the 14 tooth back on the front tho since it comes with a 13 tooth

Cool. Thanks for the RPM comparison. I live in Vegas and have a KTM 350 exc.
Thanks, we will have to do some rides!
@@MobMoto Sounds good. From some of your videos looks like we both live in Centennial Hills area.

Interesting Rodney thanks
Thank you for the experiment. What rear tire is that you are running in this video? And what sprockets are you currently running ? Any new results?
motoz tractionator enduro I/T
im still running the same setup.
Awsome . What size rear tire? Im running the motoz extreme hybrid and not liking it on dirt looking for a change . Thanks.
@@goalsoflife9575 120x90x18 i believe
I switched to the 14 48 for off road, thinking maybe even going 46 next time.
my kxf is all acceleration will they be much more cruise speed with a 48
What is this rpm gauge? Where did you get it from?

Nice vid bro 🤙🏽 What size did you cut your chain to for the 14/48 or what size chain did you use?
thats stock size
Need to shorten the chain 2 links if you have a 52 rear changing to a 48.
Can you do 70 on this bike? I'm looking at one Sunday as a first dual sport and just wondering if I could ride it to work on the freeway
The 350 will do 70 mph, but it's a high-revving and buzzy engine from ktm. Its a better trail bike than a commuter.

@@bonzegrinder1 26 miles a week is not that bad, but it depends on how much you can take.
