Great Bat-Rep. I love the way the Sisters army looks. It's a nice change of pace from the usual black, and reinforces my Idea that they'd look great in the old Emperor's Children colour scheme.
I havent watched your battle reports in a few years. WOW the quality of the minis, displays, terrain, videography and editing have gotten so much better. Great video!
When the Sister's dice were on the GW webstore the description read: "Each six-sided, round-cornered die is cast in a bone white colour. The 20 dice in this set each measure 16mm x 16mm, and they all feature the icon of the Adeptus Ministorum on the 1 face and a single large fleur-de-lis on the 6 face in black ink. " So the single fleur-de-lis is indeed the 6. But when it comes down to it they are your dice and you can use them however you like :)
Bingo. Also if you look at ALL OTHER faction die the Faction symbol is ALWAYS the 6. meaning the Fleur is the 6 and the Inquistion is the 1. Also is the SoB die the only ones with 2 symbols on them?? I think the others have a 1 pip or a skull on the 1. Yes Skull could be considered a symbol but not easily misconstrued as the 6 side symbol.
Also thats not the 6 its the 1. When on the GW site they mentioned which was the 6 and 1 and the Fleur de Lis is the 6 for sisters Dice. Also every single other die set the faction symbol is the 6. ALSO I think the sisters die are the only ones GW put TWO symbols on, one on the 6 one on the 1, and I dont know why.
Great game. A lot of going back and forth. The sisters wiping out an entire 20 blob of warriors was crazy. Normally when I run lychguard I go with the sword and board but you got a lot of value out of the war scythes. The skorpehks did a lot too. The sisters have a lot of firepower but "most" of the necrons kept coming back. I took interest in this battle because I collect Necrons and my brother has a 1000 point army of Sisters. Were both new to the hobby and this vid helped clear some things up.
30:50 don't you have to use the cherubs after the unit has shot? which means the warriors could attempt to reanimate before the extra shots from each cherub applies?
The Cherubs state: "after this unit has finished shooting, immediately make another shooting attack with one model." So, I play that as you say it - They can reanimate before those final 2d6 flamer shots can hit. Possible the bolters still finish them off, but the point still remains.
So I just checked both books. I'm not convinced that is correct. The Armorium Cherub rule states: "once per battle, in your shooting phase, after this unit has shot one model in this unit can IMMEDIATELY shoot...." The Necron reanimation protocol rule states: "Each time an enemy unit shoots or fights, after it makes its attacks...." They both seem to have the same basic timing trigger of "after the unit shoots", however the Armorium Cherub specifies "immediately". That would suggest to me that the very next thing to happen (if you want it to) is to have your armorium cherub shots activated. That suggest to me the Armorium Cherub shots trigger before Reanimation Protocols. If anyone has a faq/errata though, I'm willing to look at it again.
@@rocmistro that's a pretty fair argument, it's also occured to me that if both have the same timing then the turn player would shoot first anyway but that would only apply for one cherub at a time. The term immediately is pretty black and white though

At 1:51:28 he clearly says a 5 and a 1 l, but it’s a 5 and a 6. Sold him self short big time. Sorry dude probably should have won big time.

1:04:26 This is not possible, the rules clearly state "Before making a dice roll for a model or a unit from your army with the Acts of Faith ability", you have already performed a dice roll thus miracle dice cannot be used in a command reroll. I don't understand why you guys keep doing this because command reroll is not some kind of special new roll. Think of it this way, you cannot use miracle dice on rerolls granted by aura's from say the Palatine or Canoness (because you need to put in miracle dice before the model rolls a dice), and in the same way you cannot use miracle dice on the command reroll.
Frankly, I agree. But I had to use the Sororita dice for the filmed game. The other dice brick I brought are navy blue chessex dice to match my Sisters color scheme, but they didn't show up well on film, so Luka asked that I use the Sororitas dice for rolling and the blue ones to track my miracle dice.

I do feel like there was at least a few times where things would have been outside 9th edition unit coherency, and a couple small rule hiccups. But a fun battle report.
Ok after reading comments it bugged me and I took a look. Out of the 10+ sets of dice I was curious how many had double symbols, aka one for the 6 and one for the 1. Looks like about HALF of them do. All the early 9th sets, Crons/Death Watch/Wolfs where double symbol, while the later ones, Drukhari/AdMech/TSons/Grey Knights/Orks are all single pip 1s. Seems GW finally realized the two symbols where a confussing idea and fixed it. It also conicided with the changed from the box to that plastic hanger style packaging. The only exception is SoB which came AFTER Drukhari and Ad Mech but still have the double symbol design. Makes me think SoB where supposed to release BEFORE Drukhari or Ad Mech but somthing happened and it was delayed. They didnt change the dice design, as likely already molded and such, but changed the packaging. But bottom line to all this is that the Fleur, the Faction Symbol, is the 6 and the Eclesiarchy symbol, the I, is the 1. The Wolf and Cron ones are just as confussing, Skull or Coffin on crons and the Wolf Head or Wolf Skull on Wolfs.

I love infuse madness. A full unit always benefits from it, as they don't lose any attacks on "fail" and gain massive gains on a pass. The only downside is potentially losing 3 wounds. As a unit gets smaller the risks gets significantly greater of course
The SoB dice especially, which they got wrong. Noted on the GW site that the Fleur is the 6 and the Eclesiarchal symbol is the 1. Also dont think any other Faction dice are double symboled, or if they are its a MUCH more clear distinction between the 1 and 6 symbols.
cant roll all reanimation dice at the same time, and count that reanimation no? I mean the more that die at the same time the bigger the chance for them to ress? Dont you have to roll for each figure at a time?
Kind of hate when they show off the models that they move the image back and forth it’s super distracting when the camera is doing a great job showing the Beauty of the models.
Idk why in the list he kept apologizing about not being meta or some shit. Imagine playing Warhammer for anything other than the models looking cool, like dude, the whole point is fun.
Every time I hear someone say meta in a 40K battle report I get 1% closer to having a migraine. I hate that word. In fact, I hate that whole concept. 40K is supposed to be fun, not a substitute for your missing existential validation.
Agreed. While they say it to avoid the comments, I feel strongly we need to destroy that concept - either state a Battle Report is ITC format and we expect lists geared towards win at all costs, or just have Bat Reps - where the lists can be whatever to have, ya know, fun. Stating a unit is "cool but not meta" makes it feel like it's a garbage trash unit that should never see the light of day. Honestly, yes, there are units that are just logically better, but the stigma of saying it's not meta can harm the game and those who thought things were great looking but don't wanna collect things that will "do terrible." How you use stuff is what determines its worth, nothing else.

I love infuse madness. A full unit always benefits from it, as they don't lose any attacks on "fail" and gain massive gains on a pass. The only downside is potentially losing 3 wounds. As a unit gets smaller the risks gets significantly greater of course
I hate some GW dices. 6s and 1s are very confusing on those.
Oorah Rocco!
Semper Fi, brother.
Kind of hate when they show off the models that they move the image back and forth it’s super distracting when the camera is doing a great job showing the Beauty of the models.
I know I'm 2 months late, but Rocco could not use the miracle dice as replacement for the reroll at 1:04:34.
Idk why in the list he kept apologizing about not being meta or some shit.
Imagine playing Warhammer for anything other than the models looking cool, like dude, the whole point is fun.
I hate Games Workshop's dice. They get too fancy with the 1s and 6s and I'm never clear which is which.
I'm stealing the phrase "neato burrito" from you, Luka
Too late, he stole it from the late 80s early 90s
I wouldn't - it was already cringe 20 years ago.
This match reminds me of how annoying it is to fight necrons
miracle dice are far more annoying
@@ForTehNguyen never played against a sisters army.
that sob color scheme is fucking beauty.
you made my day, Alonso!
sanctuary 101 be like
I hate those sister dice
Rebeca laugh!
👍
Pretty sure half way through this you changed what we're 6s and what we're ones, on those stupid dice!
Yes they did. They decided to do it midway through because of how often he rolled 1s.
@@Blight02 Thanks for clarifying, glad I'm not going crazy - although if your dice are biased you should switch them out, not change 1s to 6s!
@@Anonymouschannel8181 agreed
Didn't seem to work for him anyway
Honestly, yes, there are units that are just logically better, but the stigma of saying it's not meta can harm the game and those who thought things were great looking but don't wanna collect things that will "do terrible."
How you use stuff is what determines its worth, nothing else.
While I agree with you, I wanted to intercept all the sweaty players who would tell me that I had a crappy list. So I acknowledged it up front.
@@rocmistro to be honest, it wasn't a crappy list. You had fun, it was well painted, and you played with units you loved. You won. Anything sweaty coming your way is just those who fear and shun that which is the shower. They should hardly matter to your opinion of what "your hobby" is, and have little say or impact on your toy dudes. (Or dudettes). Happy gaming bro.
Wow warrior spam is so fun and easy to play against
Lol the dice rolls from luca are atrocious
Void dragon has a save of 3+ not a 4+ lol stop speed playing ... This is the ninth video of necrons with bad necron book knowledge ≤3 we deserve better! We also don't lose more than 3 wounds entirely per phase.
luka you're making a lot of big rules mistakes. Forgetting to re-roll 1's on the warriors reanimation (The first unit only got wiped by one wound) that would have made a massive difference if they survived to get orb. Taking more than 3 wounds on a c'tan in a phase and forgetting Void has a 3+ armor save...come on....This is not fun to see as a necron player.
When did the C'tan take more than 3 wounds in a phase?
Necrons...big expensive specialist units...mediocre..turn takes 2 mins
Sisters, multiple cheap units screening...then shooting...
50k dice re rolls, m wounds, ap...takes 20 hours...
The balance in 40k atm...nice video I just hope I can past turn 2..like necrons. Sisters are ridiculous lmao
you realize the Sisters lost, right? By like...a lot.
@@rocmistro its not that its just How's it plays isn't always fun. Win or loose i want fun! Just my opinion matey
Having those MWG markers make your table look bloody awful
I like them
Post ur setup

Those markers save SO much time - I have friends who've printed some plastic ones and they shave a pile of measuring and waffling over mms.

The guy playing necrons is a little annoying
stop using the word meta its a stupid expression

Hrm. This really cements how 40k is a bad game.
Cool models, though.
