- Necron Warriors are the backbone of the undying legions - but how should we use them on the tabletop?
And how can you neutralise their threat if your opponent breaks out the silver tide?

Chaps, as a newly-awakened Necrons player I've been massively enjoying these How to Play videos. They're comprehensive and have really opened my eyes to some new opportunities. Keep up the good work, and as a subscriber I'll enjoy watching your channel grow.
Thank you so much! And welcome to the Undying Legions!
Same here! The videos are super informative. Thank you!
@@zeroxexe111 thank you!
shocked you didn't mention Hungry Void. not only does it make them decent in close combat, but at the time of this video, it was one of the few stratagems that you could use twice and for free. Doesn't matter now though with the changes to MWBD.
yknow it didn't even cross my mind about that, considering you would already have a character leading them. Good call!
12:15 Put a solo technomancer in the ark, dump him first turn and then you essentially have a moving repair barge
@@Hadthese nice!
I generally use them as a block of damage soak. A nice thing you can do with the Overlord if he's leading the unit is using the 0 CP to activate any of the strategems you guys were talking about, like another reanimation protocol, or assault on the weapons, even if you've already used it on another unit. So if you wanted, you can Sudden Storm another unit, target them as well for 0 CP, and chronomancer extra move again :)
Lots of movement in one turn!
I feel they need a point buff though, as 100 points is a heavy cost for what they do, if you look at them as a base unit.
Yeah 8 or 9pts would be amazing
@@WorHammer40k For sure! A buff like that would make them extremely useful, and also wouldn't make Immortals an "auto include" but more of a strategical choice.
Night Scythe
Warden
Plasmancer
20 warriors with reapers (whatever your choice)
[2 Cryptothralls]
Cheap, high mobility, huge amount of firepower, in hypercrypt they can just pop off the battlefield without the scythe but the scythe is more fun
Love it, yeah i didnt use the night scythe too much but its turning into a unit i really enjoy with the combos you can do!
Good vid! I know they're not the best, but i still like a block of 20 with the Royal Warden to fall back, shoot and charge. Good for hanging around the mid-board.
Usually run em with an overlord but will deffo give this a try, cheers Lee!
I’d love to finish one of these videos because the content is great but the moisture is all I can hear.
Moisture?
❤❤❤
Tasty video
Thanks a lot
Running 10 Warriors with a Chronomancer in the Ghost Ark, I find to be pretty fun. Mostly for secondaries, poking at things from behind, or maybe picking off the weaker units also going for secondaries. I would like to see the Ghost Ark get it's capacity changes from 10 and a leader to 10-20 plus a leader.
That's a great use of a ghost ark! Will give it a try. After all, who doesn't like poking at things from behind? 👀
The change to capacity should be 1 necrons infantry unit, with not being allowed to transport skorpek or praetorian units(Warrior/immortal/lychguard)
@@danjones3012 That would be quite the buff for Ghost Ark users. Would totally run Hypercrypt at that point.
@@J4wsh1nAround not really, the ghost ark reanimation support ability will still be for warriors.
10 warriors and 1 character is just a bad unit size to have for 165/185 points with 14-16 wounds, t4, 4+ save (no invuln) and hitting on 4+ with st4 weapons with ap 0 or ap 1.
Basically just giving access to transport immortals and lychguard without increasing capacity since both those units are 5/10 model units.
It makes the ghost ark more of a rhino type unit for necrons.
🟣 Thanks again chaps. For me, Immortals just don't wrap the Characters with enough Wounds. I don't feel my Characters are safe enough unless they have 20 Wounds of Warriors around them.
😎 ... ... Simon
10 immortals with a plasmancer can be good for trading but you're absolutely right - there's something really solid about 20-strong Warrior blobs!
Hello! I thought we paid per model in the block, so that I could pay for say 16 warrior and use 16 instead of having to go all the way to 20. Is this not the case anymore? Sincerely R
Hi mate, sadly not! In 10th edition you can take up to 10 Warriors for 100pts or up to 20 for 200. So your 16 Warriors would still cost 200pts
@@WorHammer40k Buuuuh :/ Thanks though.
Still too pricey for me!
Oooh yeah!
Missed the night scythe which can move one infantry unit and moves 20. Tho i hear aircraft are ... weak.
I have one but just never see how best to play it!
