I love your Cooking tips and recipe. You make cooking seem a lot easier. In Anambra where I come from, we don't add onions while cooking meat for soups like this Nsala, Onugbu (bitter leaf) and Oha. We use ogili-igbo for these soups.
Husband!, come and marry me now oh. I can make Nsala soup. Lovely. thank you Sisi Yemmie. you are preparing me for my husband's kitchen and the other room. Lol
Ogili Igbo is a must for Nsala soup. That is how we cook it in Anambra State where it originated from. Some use ogili okpei. Onions is optional and in a little quantity just to season the meat or fresh fish.
wow sisi ur one person I always look up to ur recipes I have tried almost all and DE results are excellent. my neighbors are like " I love ur cooking oh it taste great" am a Cameroon and I now know how to make Nigerian dishes
Sisi God will continue to bless you! Kilode?! Lol my hubby is from Anambra I am Asante, I made this soup today for the first time he was so impressed. He was literally licking his fingers and plate.
Omg i can't believe how simple this is..all this time I have been intimidated by the cat fish style Nsala and I'm not too crazy about raw fish..thank you soo much for this video..i am definitely going to cook this version of Nsala soup today..thank you thank you sis..I'm definitely subscribing to your channel 🥰🥰
I love this... Amazing! I tried it and I was blown away. Thanks so much my friends always wonder how I can cook every dish. Dey don't know your channel is the secret.😏
Nice and fresh spin on the thickening however, there's no place for onion in the traditional recipe EVEN in cooking the meat...it's salt, seasoning cubes and pepper. Not everyone likes the taste of okpei (it's an acquired taste) but it's a MUST in the traditional recipe as well. You also skipped the the uziza seed which gives a unique taste and aroma which it comes in unison with the okpei.
Sisi yemmie thank you so much for this recipe, it's indeed very easy to prepare. The pepper soup spice made it very very very sumptous; in fact everything made it very sumptous. And blending the yam made it so so much easier and i never knew i could do that too my yams. Thank you sisi yemmie
