Imagine voluntarily entering a Stafford Gambit tournament against Eric Rosen. The only thing close would be playing a “BongCloud” tournament against Magnus. 😂
As someone who almost never plays the stafford, joining the tournament to play and actually winning a fair amt of my games was rly fun! (even if I didnt get to play Eric) Proud to say I got as high as 4th place :D
Eric Rosen has won quote of the year, we can all stop trying. "This is my bowling ball, these are the pins. I'm not stopping. I feel like a powerful hurricane." It really doesn't get any better than this. The only thing that comes close to Eric Rosen Stafford content is Johnathan Schrantz content showing all the insanely dubious gambits he somehow wins with. 😂
I range 1300-1500 Lichess Blitz/Bullet. I just checked my stats and I win 58% of my Stafford games as black. Not bad for a patzer in an opening that is +2.4 for white!
26:07 not a 'fake tetris', but a genuine pentomino. Try fitting all 12 pentominos into a 6x10 rectangle. 2337 ways to do it, most people can't find one. The pentominos puzzle predates tetris by quite a lot. I hope you get a chance to try it.
Why didn’t you play Kg5 after opponent plays b6 at 45:45 ? By attacking the rook with the night it traps the rook if I’m correct. Im 700 elo so there is a possibility that I missed something😂
Ng5 is a good spot, and does trap the rook. But he wouldn't want to trade the knight for the rook in that position - he's down too much material, so it'd be simplifying into a losing endgame. Better to keep the knight on the board and use the move to create other winning chances.
There is only 2 legal moves for the king, E1 and D2, E1 leads to a check with the knight and forces the queen to trade with the knight, the other moves leads to trade with the rook.
@@christopherw1248 Ke1 Nd3+, Kd2 and now the knight is blocking the ...Rd8 pin. White is under a lot of pressure but I'm not sure they have to lose the queen?
@@theMosen Ok already used an engine to answer this. It looks like after Nd3, the king is force to Kd2. White move Rd8 will x-ray pinned the queen to the king. Any move from the queen to safety will leads to M2 from Qf2 and Nb2.
@@christopherw1248 Ah, I see. So I was wrong, white does have to sac their queen, but still would have been up material and in much less of a pickle if they had played Ke1 Nd3+, Kd2 Rd8, Qxd8 Kxd8, Kc2. Apparently neither white nor Eric saw this line, because Eric was hovering over d8 with his rook rather than preparing to play ...Nd3.
I was hoping for game after game of you doing 'em dirty with your bag of tricks. To avoid spoilers I won't say whether I got what I came for, but it was a great video either way!
Look through the time stamps if you want to find the Stafford Gambit games.
I skipped around and only watched the stafford games
"The good thing about being up a pawn is if you lose a pawn then it's equal"

🤔
Just so tough to comprehend the math there 🤯

Once again I enjoy how every chapter in this video is called "STAFFORD GAMBIT TIME".
I actually laughed out loud when I opened the description and saw that lmao
Eric’s awesome 😆

"Wait this endgame is just worse for me I'm down a pawn. Ooops."
_He's just like me fr._
_wins it anyway_
Do you too win pawn down rook and pawns endgames ?
Imagine voluntarily entering a Stafford Gambit tournament against Eric Rosen.

bruh
Nakhmanson against Johnathan Schrantz. 😁
Smith morra vs esserman.
Englund gambit against Aman Hambleton
As someone who almost never plays the stafford, joining the tournament to play and actually winning a fair amt of my games was rly fun! (even if I didnt get to play Eric)
Proud to say I got as high as 4th place :D
the line at 20:00 is insane...
all prep... that's ridiculous
still makes me wonder how to remember a deep line like that. Amazing memory skill.
Hi Eric, thank you for a tournament and those interesting games, it was very funny playing Stafford gambit! Greetings from Popmilan95 :)
Rip those innocent souls which u beat to get 38 points when eric had 25🤲

1:20 without context is hilarious
What a good day for a Stafford gambit showdown.
love the content Eric.

incredible insight at 15:20. can't believe you don't charge for this.
The brilliancy on display at 23:42 was brilliant!
I love the time stamps 😂
Popmilan really went demonmode this tournament, jesus
please never stop this

Rosen and Stafford gambit is like peanut butter and jelly
So... one big sticky mess then?
11:26 f5 wins black's bishop. If ... Qxf5, Bxc6+ winning the queen.
Love the content, keep it up bro
Oh Yes! It is full stream of Eric Rosen playing Stafford! Thank you 😊
I specifically like that one game, titled STAFFORD GAMBIT TIME in the time code. Such a fun game.
Can't tell you how many opponents I've annihilated playing the SG against me. Eric prepared me well.
Fascinating that even Eric doesn't know
everything about Stafford ... yet we find
the lack "disturbing" ....
(If HE is not sure, ....)
when i get that upload noficiation i get an eric tion
What the
The Stafford-Rosen gambit
10:31 Don't tell me nxc3 runs into reverse stafford gambit.
I don't recall ever seeing you play the f3 refutation as white until this stream. That was fun to watch.
37:30 you missed taking Milan’s rook for a winning position :p
Nice vid as always Eric!
1:19 Lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
That second game was absolutely insane
From the description, it seems like it may be STAFFORD GAMBIT TIME?
Have you seen infinite chess by naviary it's very recent
20:49 Why is the King forced to the d-file?

After arriving in this line, this give 0.0 eval on both teams. Pretty amazing line.

Stafford master is back 😭
At this point there is probably no one who doesn't know the Stafford Gambit

U have to live in stafford playing stafford :D
A lot of rosen trophies
ER seriously has to be the best loser in chess. Maybe the best winner, too.

That last game was pure Eric Rosen never give up energy! Loved it
Eric "Woah, i'm black!" Rosen.

Eric is so fun! Love ya, man!
Whi doesnt anyone ever play with white?
5. e4… 6. d5
There was a Stafford gambit arena?? What an amazing idea.
Arena arena it says lol
th-cam.com/video/aYfiH7VwK64/w-d-xo.html here, queen takes f3 doesnt work??
Iskaral_Pust? WITNESS
That FM was suss as with those move times in game 2
Professional chess player rated 3000 bullet can premove in a completely winning ending? Who’d have thought!
Black has nothing for the pawn after 5. e5 and then 6. d4
It's that simple.
That FM was sniping so badly lol
Eric practically invents the Stafford and still gets schooled by others.
If by "invents" you mean "popularized" then maybe but by no means did he invent it in the traditional usage of the word

Im gonna be honest, I dont like this video
