He DEFINETELY, didn't have a "normal benoni", benoni is already dubious and he wasted moves. Qc7 is a completely useless move for benoni strucucture before the exd trade, not to mention e5, he played e6 to play e5 later, not to mention that you're suppose to have a piece on e5, not a pawn, in typical benoni strucutre, if you want e5, you play it in one move and go for different plans, he lost 2 tempi in a dubious opening, wouldn't be surprised if engine gives +2 or even more after e5 . To me, not hangging a piece but getting a completely strategically lost position out of the opening is basically the same thing. @@matikkkii3482
later Eric got excited and blunder because the queen was not actually getting trapped, but still, i don't think it's the 1300's guy merit, he just got lucky cause Eric miss calculated and i'm sure the guy didn't calculate all the way through . Anyway, i'm not trying to trash the guy, just saying it was a normal game for a 1300. @@matikkkii3482
I just realized there's a whole extra level to playing Eric, psychologically. Eric's opponents always have to wonder "is he gonna play super aggressive, or his more normal and solid style?" which must make him really difficult to prepare for.
In the third game, when Rosen is about to castle, he wonders if he should worry about the greek gift, wich prompted me to analyze the position and yes, he should have worried more. After the bishop sac, the best defense from black is to actually trade the queen with the knight. But there's some other line that gets more complex and is probably not as devastating when your opponent is human rather than stockfish.

Yes, but the bishop isent doing alot, other than pining a pawn which wasent important to move at the time, while not pushing the pawn, made it so the knight couldnt move, which would also mean the rook was locked down too.
@@swaqvalley In the position his move made an advantage of +7,2 where B6 would create an advantage of +7,1. Nxe5 or Qe7 probably. Though honestly everything that isn't clearly a blunder is probably fine, you are gonna be worse in a bunch of those, but nothing more extreme than the Stafford mainlines.
It's called berzerking. You half your time to play but you get more points if you win. Berzerking is good in tournaments if you think you'll win quickly.

I gotta say, seeing Eric as the gigachad really puts it all in perspective
The first guy played a pretty decent game (until the last 4 moves) for a 13xx player, kudos to them!
Every arena has a person that is like half the rating of other people but has 95% win ratio. It's online chess classic at this point.
i disagree, he just didn't hang a piece in the opening but got a strategically lost position in 5 moves.
@@MatsMatsuo Not really, he had a normal Benoni position, although he made some mistakes after that

These aggressive runs are the absolutely most fun to watch.
My therapist: Gigachad Eric Rosen doesn’t exist, he can’t hurt you.
Gigachad Eric Rosen from the thumbnail:
it's actually great
"It's pretty hard to be aggressive in the Italian."

That Gigaeric on the thumbnail 💀
It's just eric 😏
Least manly Eric picture
Eric i just want to say thank you! I had a bad day today and you calm me down so much. Make me appreciate the simple pleasures of life again
I’m excited to see this video, love seeing your aggressive opening videos
Jeeeez -- that win with 1.6 seconds to spare was pure genius. Just shows the diff between duffers like us and a true grandmaster to be.

It is such a delight to watch Eric play chess. He is genuinely a true gentleman, a classic characteristic of a real chess player!
These are my favourite Eric rosen videos, long videos with weird gambits and aggression
Wow, that Tennison gambit was brutal!

Eriiccc !!! 🙈🙈
I'm going through a break up right now. This will be helpful to relax and fall asleep to. Thanks, Eric!
An analysis of that game against the modern/ hippo would be nice. There were probably some great tactics missed there.
The first opponent is like “Eric is just giving me material. Stay the F away from that.”
These are my favorite types of videos.
Eric's play never ceases to amaze me
if that I take the free knight😂😂... Eric Rosen looks so cunning and funny🤣🤣
I just heard *Eric Rosen* say "we both have a knight all up in each other's cribs," so my life is now complete.
How are we not talking about this?! 😂
non-native speaker, what does it mean?
I know a crib as the bed for babies.

the first game is an attacking masterclass
Hey Eric the anti solid but aggressive oxymoron style is your best

Im really not ready for this GigaEric thumbnail. Got spooked too early before the halloween.
this was fun to watch.

If he did take your pawn on blunder you could’ve checked him with the bishop and won his queen ?
Eric did you change your hair? Can’t put my finger on it…
