Driving change: In this second episode of our electric cars video series, we spoke to some Motability Scheme customers as they took part in the London to Brighton EV rally. They talked about what it's like to drive an EV and learn all about regenerative braking.
The Motability Scheme provides worry-free motoring for over 800,000 people across the UK. You can exchange your qualifying mobility allowance to lease a car, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), scooter or powered wheelchair on the Scheme. Insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover are all included in the price you pay, so you can enjoy the freedom that comes from an all-inclusive lease.
And when you lease your first fully electric car on the Scheme, we'll support you with charging. We’ll arrange and cover the cost of a home EV chargepoint and a standard installation, or give you access to a network of public EV chargepoints.
