Great video with lots of useful information from a mobility car user.

Hi Charlie and Gina @NQPC Thanks for this great video about the Motability Scheme.
The Scheme seems to have improved vastly from when I had my two Motability vehicles from 1993-1993.
My dealership penalised me heavily for the smallest of scratch. The mileage was less too, but instead of waiting until the end of the agreement to see if leveled out, they wanted payment there and then. It spoiled my enjoyment about the scheme and cost me dearly, which is why I eventually decided to fund my last three cars,
PROXIMO sounds a good way of finding an alternative to your vehicle, if needed. Again, this wasn't available in the 1990's or nobody told me about it anyway...
I'm glad you're enjoying your vehicle though, Charlie. 🙂👍

Hi Dean, thanks for getting in touch, yes it seems they have improved vastly from reading your story I must admit I've had very few if you with, apart from a few delays here and there which were frustrating but dealt with in the end. I must admit a lot of the information isn't readily available and I've had to do a lot of digging to get the answers I wanted, as no one seemed to know. Glad you're enjoying the videos and thank you for the support ❤️

Gemma ftom GMCDP has forwarded the information and video to members of the weekly Catch-Up.
One of the members who's used Motability for years didn't know about PROXIMO.
That snipet of information will help others.

Thanks Dean, yeah I think there are other services but I have had a good experience with Proximo.

I use the Motabilty scheme for my custom wheelchair. Takes nearly all my mobility allowance. lol You can get grants for adaptations if you need it and qualify.
I'm considering a drive from wheelchair accessible van (5 year lease) but that takes all my allowance and an advanced payment of approx £21 thousand. 😂

I want to look into a custom wheelchair when I next change, but they are so expensive.
Wow, that is a lot. As I can transfer I've never looked into a drive from wheelchair vehicle but I didnt expect them to be that expensive 😳♿🚗

Thanks, I said 3008 but its actually a Peugeot 2008 as the 3008 was too powerful for the insurance category. 😩

@@NotQuitePodcast Are you suffering from exaggerated reactions? I am unfortunately suffering, and this is very difficult and embarrassing

Yes, this has happened to me a couple of times. The only advice I can offer is to ignore them, which I know it's very difficult but some people are just very closed minded

How did you get your driver's license though ? Please answer me that I am afraid that I will be prevented from teaching to drive. This is beacuse I love driving so much, and it is a compensation for me for the deprivation of normal walking. Is over there remedy? Please answer me, this is a very important matter for me and worries me a lot 😊

I will try to answer this the best I can, however I can only speak from my experience here in the UK. Here in the UK the government supports disabled drivers with accessing driving lessons and finding a suitable vehicle for them because of this we take are driving lessons the same way an average person would. Providing we pass the test we are granted a driving licence
