Haha Glad I helped! the ifixit tools are very good quality. I actually started using them because a few of my other bits got rounded off, though they're definitely not necessary if only doing a few repairs. My cheap set was fine for several years.

Mine had liquid damage and I followed your instruction for disassemble logic board.
Then I cleaned the logic board by isopropyl alcohol.
Now mine is alive. 😅

Excellent video. The best part is the reassembly and the advice along the way of possible mistakes that can be made when removing and reinstalling connectors. I am wondering if you have any video of how you cleaned up the logic board? It would seem like a delicate process.
Thanks! Just brush with a toothbrush and use an electric blower to blow the dust away.

This guide was sooo goood with all the explenation and stuff. The reassembly is a must in my opinion because is a really hard part and you dont want to mess something up. Thx a lot. Probably i am gonna repaste my mac after seeing this.

Hinge covers were T3 for me with Ifixit Manta precision bit set.

I have a question: I want to buy a chassis for my 2019 MacBook pro A1990 and just replace the logicboard from old to new since the new chassis contains the rest of the parts like the battery, trackpad, screen, and all the good stuff!. Do we also have to transfer the Touch ID to the new chassis or it doesn't matter?
Yes, the touch id button needs to be replaced. I might have a video showing the process.

i opened mine up after three years and out popped a fair amount of dust and there was quite a bit on the fans .All cleaned now

what an amazing video! Hey bro, I accidentally disconnected the left part of the battery cable. (The one that looks like an ‘s’). I realized that there are not pins in left part, but I can still put it back. Would I need to replace the whole cable? Or is it meant to be like this.
How did you clean up the corrosion? Dis you use something else beside the isopropylic alcohol?
The really small thin cable? Did you make sure to flip the latches up?

I don't do that type of repair, but either it's a bad charger or logicboard needs repair.
my a1990 shut down and wont start shortly after i plugged in a usb c hub with power delivery. i opened it and everything seems ok to the eye but the square chip at 22:38 that your right thumb rested on is getting hot when i plug in the charger. what chip is it? your right index finger is resting on the chip again at 23:56

Might want to double check if it's flexgate first. Do the power drain and disconnect the screen, then connect an external monitor.

Hi, My MacBook Pro 2019 doesn't power on. Been having this problem since a week.
I've tried the SMC reset, NVRAM reset etc.
I was told that the 2019 models and up do not have a separate SSD and RAM. They're all a part of one main board.

Most likely motherboard failure. You'll have to send that to me to get it fixed.

I don't know, but I make my own layout by putting the screws in the pattern I remove them.

What size are the tiny screws to screw in the LCD cover? Also, do you have any video that shows how to replace the power ID button? I will need to replace that when I replace the new logic board.

Not sure what the screw size is. Do you mean what type of screwdriver needed to remove them?
@@ItsBinhRepaired I know it's a Torx. I have a T4 and T5 but they're too big. Where did you get that multidriver, that looks like it would work.

hi, do you have a video showing removal of speakers? I hear they are glued in but that doesn't seem such a big issue with some heat applied?
I've yet to have to replace a speaker on this model before. I'm assuming you just pull them up slowly like with the MacBook air, but I'm not sure.

@@christiancreutz it's a double stick adhesive. Just have to use a lot of slow force to peel it up.

Great video! I have 2019 Macbook Pro that Apple said would cost too much to fix. Which, I suspect, is their way of suggesting I purchase a new one. But I suspect that if the logic board were replaced it would be fine.

@@ItsBinhRepaired WOW! That was quick! If it is charged, it will turn on long enough log in, but not much longer. The screen, track pad and speakers all seem fine. When I took it to the Apple store they said it was water damage and their "policy" was to replace EVERYTHING! Which was about $1600. They would like me to consider a new Macbook Pro, but won't have any until the end of July!

Hi, how can remove the keyboard marcs from screen. After use the mac with a external monitor the panel was fuck.
Not sure what external monitor has to do with the built in screen marks. It depends on the cause of the marks. If it's grease, try isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel. Not too much. You don't want it to drip.

I do repairs as they come from my computer repair business. The only way I can do video requests is if the viewers send me their devices. I don't go out and get broken devices to make videos. I'm not made of money. Lol
I have the same Mac as you, and I wanted to run diagnostics on it because it was getting warm for the past couple of days. So I powered it off and back on and held down the D button (I think it was) until it came to the screen where you choose your wifi. I did that and put my password in, and it didn't go any further. So I shut it down, now I can't get it to start. Do you have any idea of what should I do? Thanks for any help.
Apple removed the ability for people to diagnose their own devices.

Need to attempt removing my speakers , both broke after a year and 3 months :( vibrating sound
The speakers are stuck in there real good with double stick tape. You'll have to get new replacements. These should work. They're delicate, so handle with care. amzn.to/3yhxksd
