You'll have to replace the whole keyboard touchbar assembly
Hi! I have the same MacBook Pro. 3 days ago, it died. It won’t charge and it won’t turn on. It’s frustrating because it died exactly 2 years to the date that I got it as a gift. I understand it might be the logic board, which is basically a $600 repair.
In your professional opinion is it worth it to see if cleaning the fan, unplugging the battery, etc will fix the problem?
We could possibly fix it for around $250 if the board isn't really bad.
which torx do you need in order to take off the Angle Sleep Wake Sensor from the lcd screen?

Make sure all permissions are on and there isn't a cover for the camera.

Oh, I thought the problem was your shift key was stuck. Lol You can't upgrade RAM on any MacBook after 2012. You'll have to sell it and get a new one.

Sadly it's likely a bad logicboard. Very expensive repair. :(

Then you're screwed. You either need to put the latch back or have someone replace it
hey Binh, awesome video, thank you!. although i was looking for how to repair or replace my left speaker on macbook pro 16" late 2019 model. the left speaker sounds cracked or has rattling. Do you think thats replaceable? i got the laptop in 2020 and its already got this issue. what a rip off @apple
They are a pain in the butt to remove. The adhesive is very strong. You basically have to pry it up.
It's hard to find a good replacement speaker as well.
Any luck? Same with my right speaker! :(
@@anshajgoel7909 I had the same issue with my right speaker. I couldn’t find any videos on replacing the speaker and the local Mac repair shop wouldn’t touch it because he had never replaced a speaker in that model. I got a speaker from ifixit for $50 and I followed this video on how to open it. There is almost no way to remove the old speaker without bending it but oh well, it was already broken. The whole bottom surface of the speaker has adhesive on it. I cleaned the old adhesive off the computer and placed in the new speaker. It came with new adhesive on it. I plugged it in and plugged in the battery, put the back on and fired it up. It sounds like new. The whole process took about 15 minutes and I took my time.
Yup, you can actually get speakers on Amazon cheaper sometimes. I only replaced the speaker on one like this. I tried like 10 different used speakers all messed up because the process of getting them out destroys them. The only way is to find brand new speakers.

No, but they're held in place with a very strong adhesive.
What is the safest/best way to remove the speakers? Also what kind of adhesive to put on new speakers? My right side speaker blew out. Do you have a video removing speakers? Thanks in advance.
@@bigduner I don't think there's a way to remove them without damaging them, but because your speakers are already damaged, it's ok. You basically have to just pry them our with a lot of force. Usually if you get new/good replacement speakers they should come with the adhesive. I haven't replaced these before, so I'm not sure, but you'll want to look at a bare speaker to make sure no parts are trapped underneath anything.
I have MacBook 16” bought in nov 2019 and now it is dead because it was not charging checked in system before died power full battery capacity 8856 with 93 cycle life and finally died with no battery
I tried resetting smc with Apple team noting works
Also I connected Charger through usb power monitor shows it is pulling 2.57amp that’s tells me it charging but not turning on or any sign of life
Any solutions ?

It was working issues was not charging it died because no more battery i was thinking battery or charging

Actually I was connected with usb-c type hub and I was working on my Mac suddenly it restart and after it disconnected with hub and I connected directly to charger was not charging
Unfortunately it is 80 days over to guaranty and Apple charging for just to troubleshoot too
