If you have a question for Tom please leave it in this message below.
We will try to get to any inquiry the next time we have him in studio, on the phone, or stopping by the rock shop.

I enjoyed your video. Very well done. I have one request, it seems picky to say it. The zoom in ending with shaking doesn't add much besides being annoying. Folks with vision problems or epilepsy will just stop watching, pity because it's a great video.

Anyone from the area loves Thomas! I was lucky enough to go fossil hunting with him once after I graduated high-school in the area with a few of my friends. This was around 2010. We didn't find much but I did find a sizable football sized slab with a bunch of horn coral and clam fossils embedded in it.
I also remember being there at the watch party when we all sat to watch his television appearance on Ancient Aliens on their segment on Serpent Mound. That place is outta this world!!

In 1998, I was on a bicycle trip across North America and I'd wanted to camp near the Serpent Mound, having read about it. But five miles from Sinking Spring I was harassed and assaulted by young guys in speeding cars, throwing things, hitting me and threatening me. I had to turn around, go back to the previous village I'd been in, Latham I think, and call 911. A detective came to meet me, took notes and had his deputy bring his truck, and drive me and all my gear back to Chillicothe where I'd left from that morning. From there I got a Greyhound ticket to Duluth and got off there to ride up to Canada, re- routing my whole trip. It was one of the scariest things that's ever happened to me and I never got to see the Serpent Mound.
    This video is amazing.
    Thank you.

@@2degucitas thank you. Ya, it could have been a much worse situation for me. The scariest of the vehicles, a high mounted big tire pickup with two young guys, mirror shades, shaved heads, making gun gestures at me as they slowly passed by me...
It was Good Friday in 1998. I was wearing three layers of clothing and later that night in the motel room mirror I could see clearly the red mark between my shoulder blades in the shape of the coke bottle filled with ditch water that they hit me with at 50 mph. If I'd gone forward instead of turning around, who knows what would have happened.

I'm very grateful for this video popping up in my youtube feed; I recently watched Randal Carlson's Kosmographia podcast about this Serpent mound and he noted that the serpent sort of corresponds to the layout of the close area within the crater. The head of the serpent lies on a rock which has a viper head shape, so the ridge behind it could be considered a natural continuation of a serpent body; I love you mentioning the "Underwater serpent" as well.
I think it would be worthwhile for somebody to decipher various similarities of these land features around the mound, because I think there will be many cues not touched yet.

Interesting that the Serpent Mound is built on the rim of an impact crater! The mound people must have felt/detected something there. About a decade ago we were showing the kids the mounds and new agers/wiccans were "recharging" their crystals on the mound. That added a bit of complexity to my description of the mound to my middle schoolers. ;-)

I love a video PACKED with information. You mentioned weather anomalies several times and I have noticed a somewhat similar anomaly here where I love in Ohio. Specifically the vast majority of the time when a large storm sweeps into our county from the west, the line of storms will split where I live and severest storm cells will either/or/both concentrate 3 to 6 miles to the north or south then get really crappy as they more east from here.
Storms that come from the south-east seem to become most intense as they pass here.
I always thought it was simply because of terrain changes but now you have me wondering if there is a solid gold meteorite buried somewhere up the road a piece.

He speaks of watching and observing for a long period of time before someone determined that is a cool place to live. I totally agree except that I don't think they needed to observe very long. L.A. Marzulli has interviewed first nations elders, and he said they told him they didn't build the serpent mound. They told him it was made by the giants/Nephilim that came before them. Something to think about. He has many TH-cam videos

I was recently in South Dakota, and visited the Lyon County Conservation Center at Lake Pahoja. I lived in that area for quite a while, and grew up in nearby Minnesota. So, I was surprised to learn about a snake mound having been there at one time. I also visited the Blood Run historical site, by the Big Sioux river between South Dakota and Iowa. There they had some old maps drawn of when there were hundreds of burial mounds and the serpent mound mentioned at the other center. Evidently they all got ruined by the early pioneers clearing land for crops, and especially by the railroad coming through and wiping it all out. So sad!

Fascinating to discover that geomagnetism effects weather patterns. Taking that one-step forward. Thomas mentioned his 'haunted house' located inside the impact zone. My question is, has there been cross tabulated paranormal activity studies to impact zones? I'm sure many would be curious to find out if there are any connections.

Thiis is a great video! I've been to Serpent Mound and have stopped at the fossil shop many times, as I live about a half an hour away from them. There was also a crop circle in the field below the entrance to the mound site in 2003. Such an awesome place.

I moved here from Boulder, Colorado, but I'm originally from Canada. I live 30 minutes from Toledo, but ever since I've been here I've noticed how different Ohio seems. I couldn't put my finger on it, but there's truly the best of things and the worst of things here. This video explains a lot to me. So fascinating and being a seeker also, the crater, the fault line, the energy patterns makes so much sense to me know. I haven't been to Serpent Mound yet, but it's on my list. Thank you, thank you.

They dont call Ohio 'the heart of America' for nothing I guess... Ohio has a lot of weird anomalies going on. One weird thing is that the most US presidents and NASA astronauts come from Ohio. Kinda weird. Some sorta relation? Maybe. Needs more research.

Thank you for your research in this crater Thomas. I found it astounding. I was at the mound in 1997.
I could feel the energy. So could the other tourists (who were being loud and obnoxious)
So much for a short meditation. Anyway, there was precious little info about the history of formation which I found very disappointing.
Thanks again for answering my unanswered questions.

Do you imagine that what the previous owner of the house, took to be a haunting, has actually to do with the magnetic anomaly? I lived once, at the top of a quite high hill, which led down to a lake in Maine. The house was an antique with quite strange occurrences ongoing inside. I am thinking just now of the lay of that land. Thank you.

My spouse and I have been to this museum, and it is nice, but a bit difficult to find. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the gate of Serpent Mound, it was closed due to one of the buildings having burned down the day before. MANY people who had driven many miles to see the mounds were very mad. The burnt building was far away from the Mound, so we parked on the main road and walked up to the mound. We weren't going to drive that far and not see the mound. Others had come from farther away than us, and they also refused to not come all that way and not see the mounds.

I didn’t know about any of this till after I ran around all these mounds and crazy trails… my phone camera was doing things it’s never done before… I had taken pictures and videos and they didn’t save… my camera would go black for no reason and not be able to take pictures and videos. Very very strange I slept at the great seal and it lightening stormed all night there was lights going on and off.. I felt very afraid at fort hill… this happened at other mounds in other parts of Ohio.. I felt warm spots and all this I remember vividly feeling and saying that has never happened I’ve never felt that warm of a change like the sun was amplified in one spot.. then I started digging into this. lol

Absolutely love to stop in and have a conversation with Tom.
Geologically, what’s the chances of an asteroid hitting a fault? Mind blowing, long lasting effects!
Often get to see the crater in Arizona, and that object was tiny that dug a 600 foot deep, 3/4 mile hole. Total mind blowing at Ohio’s nine mile wide crater.
Why is there the “deference” for the fossil presented by the shock cone? Preserved the fossil while devastating the rock material!? Unreal.

Wow, i never knew that much about the impact crater site, i kind of forgot about it actually, but i recall someone mentioning it on one of the older serpent mound videos as to the weird magnetic anomalies all around and i was really intrigued about it as we have a impact crater in ,i think, northwest Indiana, Illinois border area. I cant remember the name of the site, there is a small town nearby it,on the edge of the debris ring and interesting thing is there is a open mine in the center of the crater remnant.
Thats really amazing to think that the one there in OH was a mile deep at one time.
Ive been trying to get over there and see serpent mound for years but there's always something more pressing in responsibilities and work that i dont get time to travel.
