I cried over this great video. RIP Dr Ramadan Badry Hussein you passed away way too early. You had so much more to give us. You are definitely a loss to Egyptian Antiquity.
I am so saddened by Dr Hussein's passing. This is the first time I saw and enjoyed his drive, dedication, and deep respect for those who went before. He is MY Hero.
It saddens me watching this, he always seemed like such a wonderful soul and definitely, my favorite archeologist. Taken away far too young RIP Dr Hussein
WooW ! Absolutely fantastic, almost three hours of one of the most mystical time in our ancient Word History 🤩Ancient Egypt and new archeological founds ! Thank you very much Nat. Geo. for this precious post🏆🙏👍
Ramadan, Thank You so much for sharing this ancient history to show how people lived , prepared to die and their beliefs. And your showing of Reverence for the dead. God Bless
Just found this on my feed, and when I looked up Dr. Hussein, I was heartbroken to read he had passed away in 2022. 😢 My condolences to his family and friends.
Video ini sangat berarti bagi ku. Sebagai pengalihan ku di hari sabtu ini. Saya sedang merasa meridukan orang2 dan masalaluku. Nah dengan video ini sedikit dapat teralihkan. Terimakasih nat geo❤
What an incredible video. What a great loss to the world with the premature passing of Dr Hussein. Condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and Egypt.
What an extraordinary find. This is by far the very best video I have ever seen. Kudos to the entire team for sharing this wonderful discovery. I'm looking forward to season 2. Thank you
*** What an absolutely stunning show this was & to be given for free on TH-cam. So amazing the lives some people live dedicated to help us know & understand what life was like on this earth 2600 years ago, I agree with the Dr. Ramadan INTENSE in a great way to describe what it was like watching their discoveries. 🌞🌛
I love this series I so wish Dr. Hussein had lived to make mor discoveries and episodes. I really wish when NatGeo did these mega episodes they would put the episode divisions in you your could skip around easier. I often put these on to sleep.
Can you imagine... even with these finds, it's likely what has been found and documented is probably less than 1% of what would have been before tombs were plundered.
While I have always found this subject fascinating, a part of me says it is wrong to disturb a persons grave. It doesn't matter how old it is. Respect is respect.
How old do our graves need to be before we can expect to have them opened by our ancestors, poked, prodded and desecrated and used as tourist attractions? Asking for a friend...
I have a question that may be answered earlier Why we have the tomb underneath, did the sand come on top later ??? The rooms are really deep for old times
I often ask questions seeking answers and it has led me to just more questions of the answers that were given...Dr. Hussein had been an amazing archeologist his discoveries and the way he was going about it was about to expose more false history just imagine what lies beneath the entire area of the old kingdom..so then i asked would you think they did the same method in the New kingdom in the area of the Giza pyramids and plateau...🤔🤔...giving us more discoveries..once again more questions All praises to the MOSTHIGH God Jesus christ..Thank-you lord for such people like Dr. Hussein who risked it all to show us the way to keep asking questions...eventually getting the truth..whenever that may be in my lifetime or another..
For years i said not more old Egyptian mummie doco's seen it all same old stuff boring . But this was worth watching very interesting the silver mask worth 2x the value gold because it was imported 2,600 yrs ago Gets me 2ton coffin 100ft down and slide to the side in tomb mystries of the time Death kings priest wealthy made $ burial industry
If someone told me about lidar 40 years ago and it could penetrate vegetation and reveal what lies under it I'd have said you watch to much SiFi. Imagine a system like that that could penetrate loose sand an reveal solid objects/structures. Another thing which puzzles me is the further you go back in time the better the workmanship. Like they kept loosing skills along the way as if they were trying to emulate what people built earlier. Then there's the black granite polished sarcophagi which when examined the inscriptions almost look like graffiti. Now they look like someone found them and reused them then vandalized them with crude inscriptions. More questions than answers as regards ancient Egypt.
This is interesting to see! However, I have mixed feelings about digging up people who have passed away and turning a very sacred burial process into an exploit for profit and exposure. I wouldn't want to be that person that decides to do this. Can you imagine burying a family member, and learning 2000 years later people are digging up great grandmas body, jars of organs, and the military is escorting them to sell to a museum and documentary teams??😳 I would really like to learn about the lands that are dug up, who gives the permission, how and who pays the workers. When these bodies and artifacts are sold, who profits? Is this a government or political process? Are these privately owned lands? I have soooo many questions about what we dont see.
Most importantly, the bodies are NOT SOLD. The film crews pay for the filming rights but the NONE of the artefacts leave the country and are displayed in local museums, bringing in tourists who pay to see the artefacts. The government protects the country's heritage. In the case of the Egyptian mummies, they believed that when their names are spoken that enables them to live again. The reason why they put their names on their coffins. So they are likely very happy to be brought to our attention.
Is only bone. Good for today knowledge. Their spirits is gone and if reincarnation is real they probably live many other lives if not they are back to life source or travel to another dimension 😂
Its interesting they say Egyptians traveled all around the world & were the first ones to discover what is now America. Artifacts & hydroglifics have been found in the Grand Canyon. So Columbus was not the first to discover the US.
How was Ta-D-Hor's sarcophagus constructed and how did it appear where it is? Was it chiseled out of the chamber it was in? It was made of the same stone as the chamber.
I highly recommend proper application of the dust masks Clearly visible in the videos some are not pressed against the nose to conform to the face shape allowing dust to bypass Not the place you want that to happen. Be safe , explore forever in good health
This is blowing me away!!! I don’t understand why the woman wasn’t wearing gloves while touching the childs grave knowing the age of the mummy, 2600 years old.
I don’t know, imagine if in 2500 years someone finds your burial site and studies how you lived and died. And if you believe in an afterlife, then you believe your soul is long gone. Wouldn’t you be honored to be studied? I know I would. 😊
True. In my culture, it's not polite to dig one's resting place. It can be different from another culture..but kingdom of pharaoh is fascinating history🙂
We are seeing mordern technology opening the lid of the sarcophagus but in ancient times that is 2600 years back dono how did they carry it to the underground and placed it there 😳
Never understood why people like to desecrate burial sites those people were ment to be buried there not to be in a museum there is no respect for the dead
Oh my goodness I am deeply conflicted about this. I totally understand their curiosity and I totally understand that it is a desecration of a grave. I have never come to terms with that contradiction within myself.
As someone who has taken classes on archaeology I can shed some light on this matter. Most of the time, I won’t say all because that would be lying, it is about preservation of and learning from the past. Taking a look at the area in which they are working you can see the pyramid is heavily eroded. Looking at the chamber and the shaft there is a number of concerns about the structure and safety of the structure as it is. There is more honor in removing those they found, than finding them and leaving them to be crushed by the sands above them. Yes there is an academic reason as well, and many times it is years later that answers are found to archaeologists questions. And I can’t speak on museums however I know that many of those who are archaeologists they treat every person and object with a level of scientific objectivity but also with care and respect because they know that their jobs are destructive to the area in which the site they are working. It is both emotional and exciting.
Who ever lived in that desert of Africa have had strong feelings to conquer death, but as all terrestrial no one reused from their thumb. They are mummified but collecting dust for 3000 years.
I'm pausing the video 38:40 seconds in just before the big reveal on the other two jars and am taking a guess. She died bearing twins? Back to the video!
I cried over this great video. RIP Dr Ramadan Badry Hussein you passed away way too early. You had so much more to give us. You are definitely a loss to Egyptian Antiquity.
May he rest in peace. He died in 2022 so this documentary must have been made just before that.
Oh boo. His smile was so innocent child like
Oh, no! What happened to him???
the irony
He is very much alive
I am so saddened by Dr Hussein's passing. This is the first time I saw and enjoyed his drive, dedication, and deep respect for those who went before. He is MY Hero.
I can watch this type of shows all day for the rest of my life and still be amazed....☀🌙
It saddens me watching this, he always seemed like such a wonderful soul and definitely, my favorite archeologist. Taken away far too young RIP Dr Hussein

Gone too soon, Dr. Hussein! 💔
So much good information. I will have to watch it many times to soak it all up. Stellar documentary
Can you imagine... even with these finds, it's likely what has been found and documented is probably less than 1% of what would have been before tombs were plundered.

While I have always found this subject fascinating, a part of me says it is wrong to disturb a persons grave. It doesn't matter how old it is. Respect is respect.
Very well done, but the dramatic music was a bit irritating. The information is enough. Don't need melodrama.
music is very irritating!
So sad to know Dr. Ramadan is gone as soon as I became a fan of his 😢
Very interesting i love geographic documentaries

What did he die from . Does anyone know.
Mesothelia from asbestos exposure when he was young
Why didn’t the hidden chamber get picked up on the scans that helped discover the main chamber?

Why did the deep scan not catch that other chamber? That is very interesting.
so beautiful ❤
Beautifull
Thank you
Have to go to Egypte

There are dehumidifiers that can be used if put in the chambers.
How I did not know about this saddest news 😢 may u rest in peace Dr ❤
What year was this?

well the site is built ontop of 12000 year old bedrock carvings the predate the Egyptians themselves.
Its interesting they say Egyptians traveled all around the world & were the first ones to discover what is now America. Artifacts & hydroglifics have been found in the Grand Canyon. So Columbus was not the first to discover the US.

A grave mistake ? Humour indeed !
This is blowing me away!!! I don’t understand why the woman wasn’t wearing gloves while touching the childs grave knowing the age of the mummy, 2600 years old.
Well, I know what I’m doing the next 3 hours!
Do they take the mummies and burial goods or do they replace them as they were found? If taken, are they not doing as the grave robbers do?
No.
Twins the other 2 jars riight? I guess I’ll have to wait till the end of the video
I find it very interesting but also thinking
Let them be in rest.
I don’t know, imagine if in 2500 years someone finds your burial site and studies how you lived and died. And if you believe in an afterlife, then you believe your soul is long gone. Wouldn’t you be honored to be studied? I know I would. 😊
Does anyone know why only certain members of the scientist's team are wearing scarves? The workers are not wearing any.
That mummy for sure split in half @ 2:48:24
So is this a recent discovery?
Now, that statement of "Worlds Oldest Pyramaid" is not a very smart one
@2:50:14 I see a hand at the side!! Does anyone else see the skeletal hand?? The right hand.
Please upload this combined in hindi .😢
After 2600,surely these people could be left in peace,
15 seconds in and i already know how to carefully dismantle ancient stone wall... how does it looks like once archeologists are are not carefull?
I wish people would leave these burials alone. Let them be
It's all Bones and dust now better take a look while it's still here
My brother's and sister's we can't let Egypt steal African culture 🧫 we have to educate this generation of black 🖤 students period 💯 true fact's
I understand we want to know their history however I still feel like they shouldn’t be disturbing the dead or resting place of the Egyptians.
True. In my culture, it's not polite to dig one's resting place.
It can be different from another culture..but kingdom of pharaoh is fascinating history🙂
Where are the Golds?
Good luck 🤞

one is working and 250 are looking on. Nothing has chnged for thousands of years 😄😄😄
The only reason this show goes for so long is because of the ridiculous number of ads in it
Who ever lived in that desert of Africa have had strong feelings to conquer death, but as all terrestrial no one reused from their thumb. They are mummified but collecting dust for 3000 years.
Ok, so I am not educated in this, but why can't they leave the dead where they are? Would we like our burial sites disturbed?
You are correct that you are not educated in this.
I'm pausing the video 38:40 seconds in just before the big reveal on the other two jars and am taking a guess. She died bearing twins? Back to the video!
why do you need to disturb the dead, the reason they were hidden underground, simply because they dont want to discover n disturb,,
The only thing you have to do is test inside the channels for DNA it'll still be there
Where I found this Videos by Arabia Language please?
