It’s very draining when you’re trying to move on with your life and a person is practically stalking you and keeps trying to get back with you after being extremely verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive, playing mind games, devaluing, criticizing and insulting, cheating, scheming and scamming you. But then want to wait a few months and act like nothing happened and ask you to start going on dates with them while also going through a divorce.
He doesn't want to let you go because he sees you as an investment/property something that belongs to him, and he sees like if you don't want to be with him then you shouldn't be with anyone and if you don't want to spend the rest of your life with him you shouldn't have a life of your own! It's not love it is infatuation. You don't owe anybody anything. You don't want a low value man who treats you with disdain and contempt because he feels inferior to you! You deserve so much more. Leave him behind!
People stuck in codependent dynamics will struggle to let go, if you look closely the majority of relationships are unhealthy but people choose to stay continuing the dysfunction. Choosing to be single meanwhile working on becoming a healthier version of me has been the most rewarding investment I made after walking away from a toxic relationship. Too many women stay way too long with dead beats wasting their precious time, energy and resources. Remember you are Queen with or without a man, adjust your crown, straighten your back and walk away with dignity.
