I have been in touch with dickase directly through here, the latest version of their brakes are so much better than these were. Shoot an enquiry through here if you are looking to get a set. To everyone mentioning that the link goes to the "never gonna give you up" video, he did that on purpose. He states quite a few times in the video that hes NOT gna tell us which ones they are, and if YOU want to but them for yourselves then YOU must do the research.. like he said, hes NOT gna give out the link cuz he doesnt condone the way these have been copied and he wouldnt recommend anyone else to use these.. he only did it cuz this is a "budget build" series and he needed a little more stopping power for all the added GO power.. hes not tracking this car, hes only using it to have a little fun on the streets here n there

  • @rotorblade9508
    @rotorblade9508 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think you need the smallest rotors as possible but good but good thickness, that can do the job so for that you need brake cooling ducts. Since the car is powerful and heavy you can’t go too low. With good cooling some 356 x 32 front and rear should be ok or maybe 380x34 front. For handling you need to check the bias so you calculate piston area and mean rotor diameter.
    Normally a non m car has 70-% front and an M I saw a guy that said it had 65% but a gt3 50-50 weight distribution can go as low as 60-58% even with slick tires and race brakes (of course the have a bias selector so not relying that much on what brakes they have they can adjust to whatever ratio)

    Thanks for the awesome video on those parts
    Since you go for aftermarket BBK
    in Eu a lot of people go for the OEM M-Performance 4-piston/2-pistron upgrade from BMW F20/F30
    you can get the 370mm 4-piston front / 345mm 2-piston rear OEM from BMW for around 3k (excluding brake lines and modification on the rear caliper)
    where as the Brembo kit goes for 3 to 4k front alone
    how is the situation in Australia regarding those parts - or do they not get used at all and most go for a brembo/stoptech/willwood bbk instead ?

Have dial indicator mounted somewhere, have the engine running / brake booster working and measure the flex from the caliper surface. Even the real Brembos will show movement on the indicator dial. @@ZeroTo60Tube I am not sure there is a "stable" supply chain at brembo.. as I have been telling people, parts are parts and companies will find efficiencies where ever possible.
      www.brembo.com/en/company/suppliers
      Over the last decade I find most parts are sourced from a handful of actual manufacturers, mostly in China. Even name brand kits seem to include lots of the same pieces clearly sourced from the same factories. (This includes some OEM parts). What it results in for us end users is better cheap stuff and less reliable expensive stuff. What you have is very likely the real deal from a factory running parallel manufacturing as a legit supplier. Now and days some of these name brand companies claim to have "domestic" factories which in reality are nothing more than assembly centers.. sometimes just labeling centers. Basically factories have become contract players and companies generally do not maintain in house manufacturing capacity. But it does expose just how much of a mark up companies like Brembo charge.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AM4N18 I was really unsure of what the go was when i ordered these. A lot of people were like "brembo have factories in china and these are just seconds". I did a lot of research and brembos big issue with fakes is companies pairing incorrect caliper and rotor sizes, meaning bias's are incorrect. So if FCP sell a brembo caliper with thier disc, Brembo seem to have issues with that. But brembro never address the issue with the china copies. Now brembo do have pads being made in china. But i can't find anything showing this level of caliper is baing made anywhere but italy. Getting to know Dickase over the years. These are nothing to do with Brembo. But as a china manufacturer, you can invest years in to developing a products and make it cheap and no one will buy it. Or you can copy a western product, tell the customer its fake and sell 1000s. Which is what they have done. They are in business and in china copying a western product is no problem. Something i hope this video series highlights is how many fakes are out there. I have seen so many sets being sold as genuine, which are very unlikely to be real brembo. Are these as good as genuine. I think so. However they must not be sold as genuine, its a different product. The way i see it, genuine you buy through a local reputable company who will install test and make sure you pair the correct brakes for your application. Thats where the price difference goes. You are paying for support and someones time and knowledge and that is worth more than a set of brakes.

      The genuine 6 pots are normally 1 piece, due to the pad size they the would flex too much with such a large window on a 2 piece design. The downside is you have to remove the calliper to change the pads, where the smaller versions you can pop the pads out the back of the calliper with out unbolting it.
