The Sunday night Heats before wwe ppvs always felt like a different show. They where separated by huge booking differences and a pay wall.
They’d have different announcers, different lighting, different ring aprons and in some cases, I think they’d change the ring ropes.
Tony should forever be depicted with that hat and sunglasses from the media scrum. It needs to be on a t shirt!

I can't keep up with the amount of titles in AEW.
Reminds me of when the WWF had the first hour of Raw be "RAW is WAR" and the second hour be "War Zone." And they counted them as two completely different shows. Despite the fact that all that happened is the clock went from 8:59pm to 9pm.
It was still better than how AEW does it. WAR ZONE had more mature humor than RAW IS WAR, but yeah, it was the same exact show, just with more adult humor mixed in.
I really like Brian Solomon. He has such a soothing professional voice. His podcast Shut Up and Wrestle is quite informative. Thanks guys. 😂

No matter why Battle of The Belts exists, it only became an afterthought because AEW treated that way. They could have turned that show into anything. Made it the only 4 hours you absolutely must watch each year. "TNT gave us another hour every quarter? EFF IT! My E-Fed was based on WCW Nitro... I have no use for an hour of TV, if I can't copy something someone already did! Why would we do anything new?"

Battle of the Belts is the most pointless wrestling show ever. In 9 "Special" 1 title has changed hands and it was the Hot Potato of the TNT Title to Sammy against Scorpio Sky. Hell if Battle of the Belts is so important why has the WORLD Title, NEVER been defended? But Tony makes sure every other belt no one cares about is.
A Tale of Two Top Stars: Punk's haters and bashers were let loose and Tony didn't do s--- until he ran him off. Now that it's Jericho with a possible cancellable sin, and Tony tries his worst to try and pipe in noise, strategically avoid him getting booed, and make sure Jericho's bashers gets shushed.
So we now know who Tony Khan's sacred cow is (and the real locker room cancer).

i kinda thought they started the show that way for time to swap the ring designs over for the next show. but the jericho thing could very well have been a factor too. as a live attendee, by the time they got into the main part of the arena i was tired of watching the screen and just wanted the next actual match to start.
These shows should be renamed Creation of Newer Belts.... I guess everyone needs a belt to hold up their drawers.... 🤔
Corny should have reviewed TNA Hard To Kill instead.

I have never watched one of these Battle of the Belts show, but I felt like something was going to happen in the street fight, that I would need to see. So yeah, I recorded it. To be honest, I watch wrestling when I'm working out. If I finish my workout before I reach the end of the AEW show, I've usually lost interest, and I don't finish the show. We already know you're not getting to see the main event finish, so why be invested in it?

Why is it Jim will give AEW countless second chances He talks about them which only helps them in some strange way. But, yet Jim won’t swallow his pride and give TNA another chance (That same night was TNA’s Hard 2 Kill PPV which wasn’t perfect but, a very strong PPV) he would’ve enjoyed the show (ok the PCO match was filler but, everything else enjoyable)
