Before you put mouse traps out, seal off all the cracks and holes they are entering through. Same with the raccoon and other critters. It does no good to trap and evict them when you are inviting them in.😂
I admire your ambition for restoring the house. You’re better than I am. I would demolish & start over. Looks like way too much to fix! Good luck with the project.😊
Dutch is into keeping and recycling materials and you're into dumping them and starting from scratch which costs a lot of money and takes resources that the Earth isn't going to have for an eternity yeah I'm being critical oh well so sue me
It definitely looks like quite an undertaking to do it right.
I guess the bones on the house is in good shape and would be cheaper to redo it than to start from scratch
That cat was moving 😂😂😂😂😂
Love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and working at abandoned house
Hi Sean and Brandi, looks like you got most of the got most of the garbage out of the house, looks pretty good. The cat sure left quick, that easy meal was a stay in the cage for the night. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Good Evening Sean, Brandi and girls! That would be the scariest moment for me…be very careful.
Hello Sean, Brandi & 3 young ladies. Hope y'all have a blessed day. Keep videos coming on both channels. ❤❤
Raccoons do not eat near their bathroom.
@@bluebird5949 they might if there is a can of sardines laying there lol
Haha poor kitty. He does look big and fed tho
You give them the expensive bait. I catch them on peanut butter bread. It works!😂
@@janet5363 lol $1
Can't tell if that's a felled wall or upturned flooring in that attic space. Looks like ya'll have a lot to do over there to get it ready.
Always good to see an abandoned home transformation. ✌️
Orange oil spray will send skunks running away. We just used some off Amazon to get ride of a family living under our wood pile.
Hopefully you'll catch your intruder. Be careful. GOD bless y'all.
Love it
Peanut butter as bait works well for raccoons and it doesn't attract cats.
I have a cat that loves peanut butter. lol
Those chimneys are not lined. They need to be torn down and replaced with clay liners per code. They are dangerous. Alternate would be double walled Stainless Steel. Need to do this before you replace the roof.
It's a rental property, I doubt he's going to replace the chimney. It's typically not worth replacing a chimney, unless it is in a real nice neighborhood high.
Hi Sean and Brandi. Sorry you didn’t catch the pooper. Thank you for the video.
Cats like fish Dutch, lol😊
I thought it was a person that you were talking about at first. Take care and be careful. God bless
Wow these squatters are everywhere be careful ❤❤❤❤❤
Sean when Brandi said something you jumped. I liked to fell off my chair cause I jumpjed.😂 That cat had some meat on him
He was gone in a second.😂 Keep them videos coming on both channels.❤
Might have better luck if you put the trap further away from their poop spot.
Hello Dutch and family
It's time to put those chimney screens on. Just my opinion
Dutch says, hello!!!😂😂😂
My experience with trapping raccoons as they won't go near food that's by where they poop. I would set it somewhere away from the poop area. Good luck God bless you all❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank God it wasn't a human. Take care guys.
Feral cats don't make noise only tame cats will meow at people.
That big hole in the yard is probably a armadillo.
Let’s go Ricky is what I heard
Try apples & peanut butter if sardines don't work out.
that cat sure knew where the trap opened hmmm
What a beautiful old sewing machine! Hope it doesn't get thrown away. Did you know many a guitar has been made from discarded antique sewing machine tops? They were made from solid hardwoods that were often prime wood and very beautiful. I grew up with a now famous guitar builder a luthier) that was the first person to invent himself a position as a guitar tech for bands. You can look him up, Ted Neuman Jones. I miss him so much. RIP Teddy Bear.
I had a family of racoons living in my attic years ago. One thing you need to do is find out where they are coming in. Then set a humane trap in the attic. Then get some heavy-duty mesh wire to cover the area from the inside, and outside. That will keep them from coming back. I hope you have a great day my friends ❤️🙂⚘️.
I don't know how strict your dumpster company is, but the side says FILL LINE. You're not supposed to go higher than that line with your trash. Good luck!
So you noticed, what are you an osha inspector I guess you watch videos like this just to find any violations.👎
❤😊❤ God bless!
Those chimneys are not built right. Missing flue liner is a dead give away. Looks like they were never used which is a good thing and the reason the house is still standing. There is missing grout on the chimney. They should be deleted. The way the shingles are sealed against the chimney is crazy. There will be a leak and it will cause mold. The drywall in the ceiling is ruined due to animal excrement including urine. You have well documented these issues and it will be used against you in the future. You need a Qualified Defendant. This is someone that can certify the work you have done and take liability off you. This can be achieved through permits. If something catastrophic happens to the house, what will your insurance pay to rebuild? Insurance will only pay for the permitted structure. CYA!
I saw the chimneys later in the video. I went back to see the fireplaces which I didn't remember seeing. I didn't see them because there were none. Looks like they were used to run a stove pipe through. Is this a correct method?
Another "gotcha" caption... don't like them!!!!!
Nothing gotcha about it, but no one is forcing you to watch!
@@lindamaskus5142 thank you for your opinion.
They get old!
😂😂😂😂
😂😅
Hope you catch your squatters! ❤
Thanks for sharing.
Let’s go Ricky is what I heard Ricky the raccoon
The are nasty I don’t like them! We had a family in our attic I thought I’d come home to the Lazy Boy commercial years ago when a raccoon was in a recliner😂 it was a nasty clean up for my husband !
Heard about you from The Eddy Family Farm! Came over here, and loving it
Ripe Banana is the best bait! Cats won’t go for it, but raccoons sure will!!!
Poor kitty 🐈 hope he doesn't get caught again😮😢😮
Maybe you should cover those chimneys with hardware cloth to keep anything from going in anymore. Catch squirrels lol. Why not temporarily block the holes.
I've been trying to grow carrots watering them every day all summer and I don't have any as nice as the one growing through your wall! LOL
I can’t believe how much trust you put in that roof. You walked across it like it was a brand new one. Watch out for holes please.
❤❤❤❤❤
He’s probably under that old roof in the attic😳if he jumps ontop your head😖 they like bread with honey poured on it!
You probably want to trim the trees off of your roof and away from the house. Squirrels love to climb up and go in the attic and chew on wires.
The house already looks better, specifically the porch post. Can't wait to see what color you pick for the outside. Is the new roof going to be green to match?
Santa will not fit in those chimneys.
Use Vanilla Wafer Cookies, Cattle Cube Cake, or Kernels from an Ear of Corn!! Using Sardines or other Meat Products will bring in all sorts of Varmints. But Skunks can come no matter what you choose to use!
Great video most enjoyable thanks. Chris from England
Glad yas are doing well stay safe 💓 😊
If you recatch the cat just go ask the neighbors. But plan on doing TNVR for it no matter what just in case they feed but can't afford vet care. Might as well plan to do right by any community cats that hang around and keep the mouse issue down!
Good suspenseful video….didn’t know what you would catch….. until you laughed!!!! Then thought ….. yep animal. You’re funny Dutch.❤
Put a string or a tap on chimney to see witch on they are using
HAHA You had me there. I expected to see a homeless man.
Thank you for bringing me along 🎉🎉🎉🎉. You need to cover your holes up🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Try marshmallows for bait. To catch your raccoons😊
I thought you talking about 2 leg animals
Racoons are smart and hard to catch. They are very distructive.
Put covers over the old chimneys if not in use and that will keep the rain and critters out too.
I hope that's big enough trap. In Norfolk, Virginia, I've seen them twice the size of that trap.
I’m not sure on this ,, but maybe raccoons do not eat where they poop.. Try moving your big trap over by one of those chimneys..
You need to put metal grate over the fireplace holes to keep animals out..
Hey bud, you might wanna put on a mask when you’re in the attic. Looks like asbestos flying all around. It was pretty thick in the air I would put a mask on if I was you
hey Dutch Make sure you don't leave anything there you don't want to be stolen and when you put the windows on there make sure you board them up I mean I kind of way to do a lot of that kind of stuff because I don't know what kind of neighborhood you bought just houses in but you got to sink like the thief can't wait to see how it turns out Good luck!!
I’m peanuts and peanut butter is your live trap best friend,,, no cats😂😂😂
When they built the addition, they did not extend the vent pipe through the new roof.
The raccoon may start wiggling around in the trap on the Roof ... And the trap fall off roof with the raccoon 😊😂
I think I would bulldoze billed or sell the land.
Walmart sells some peppermint spray by the gallon that will keep mice and rats away! They don’t like the smell! I have used it and it works!
try using big marshmallows to catch a racoon, they worked for me
The chimneys are open top so rain will flood down inside the house. How very odd!!
If sardines don't work; those bandits, and mice and rats, LOVE peanut butter. I live in Moore and trapped 2. Raccoons in my backyard, using peanut butter.
Moth balls or incecticide ,but moth balls will definitely move him
You need to cover up all the holes that any thing can get it. Cover the outside under floor access and block the chimneys. It is looking good.
There is really a squatters law in Tenn
we always catch cats using sardines!! We now use s=mall marshmallows!!They love them !!
I see a vent stack that needs to be extended out to the new roof.
Sean. How are u going to put a roof on when u need to tear out that cruddy room but add onto the utility room across the back so that you can have an on suite for the master bedroom? Plus you can tear out that wall and chimney between the kitchen and dining room. And that would affect the roof too. Bet that’s a ground hog hole.
I knew it had to be a cat!!!
I heard you mention shingles. I have storm proof shingles on my house. It should lower your insurance.
Looks like armadillo tracks by the hole in the ground.
I'm guessing the reason they gave you a smaller bin is weight. Shingles can be mighty heavy. I'm just guessing because of the stories my granddaughter tells me, she hauls them to empty or for refilling. It doesn't take long for the weight to add up from trash alone. Plus, the bin isn't lite either. Side note raccoons love kibble no matter if it's cat food or dog food. Good luck. 😊
I used a bright strobe light and loud music Ran all the varmints out of my attic. They are nocturnal. May not work on cats.
Think it would better ideal to cover all the entry spots! Keep them in until you catch them! Doesnt make sense to let them come a nd go! Had one once that went in-between the wall! 4 hrs latter figured out how to get out! Was thinking I'd have to open the wall!
be careful with the stray cats my uncle caught one and he reached in to get it out and it scratched and bit his hand and it swelled up and ended up in the hospital for 5 days so use a glove
Use a honeybun to catch the raccoon. Been trapping them for years.
Make sure you cover the chimneys with covers and the crawl spaces.
I thought at first you said Randy was living in the attic. 😆 🤣 😂
Need to clean my ears out. Other than that. It's a great video. Sardines in mustard sauce.😊
You should carry when your house is empty.
Use grapes for bait, Sardines attract cats.
We had mice in our attic..it was a new home! New mice bait in pkg.. do not open the cele pkg, they eat thru it to this bait that kills them then incinerates them .. but throw away or bury the dead mouse. My son had a squirrel get into his attic by chewing a hole from the corner near the roof. Hope I get this fellow, n he doesn’t gave a fmly up there. That cat shroud be full of sardines.
What? A raccoon!😅
Put trailer cameras
Yikes! That cat can run. Really interesting. Maybe the raccoon moved on. Hopefully. 🤣❤❤❤
