@@davenarisotto3674 depends on how you would consider what p2w is in tcg/ccg as all collecting card games are p2w in general as you have to get packs to unlock more cards. But it is very f2p friendly in my opinion as you can unlock all cards without paying a single dollar. Most ppl swipe in this game to upgrade their cards just to make them look better
Not really, you can play it free without problems, it will just take more time to get all the cards, but there are no cards behind a paywall only
This game is absolutely not pay to win. I've been playing it for a year now and I have 95% of the cards without paying anything. If you make good decks that make sense you have chance to win and thats all.
@@projectx5154 I sweat to God I only play daily missions and thats it. This 5% of the cards I dont have because I dont wanna use them, such as this new Samurai guy (I dont use discard decks so thats why), Galactus (its not interesting for me to build decks around one card). etc. Also, you can get all cards that you don't own just by playing daily missions and investing your gold and these other points (I forgot the name,the arrow like grey points) smart. All cards locked behing paid pass you will be able to get in the chests once season is done. Even if I miss this new card locked behind paid pass it doesn't matter-that one card will not win you all the matches. If you played this game enough you would know that its all about building your decks so that all carda have effects one on other.

He's probably exaggerating how much he won, but in my experience, your average lgs fnm draft timmy barely knows what he's doing, you get maybe one or two actual contenders in an 8 man pod.
Also, it wouldn't surprise me if he was cheating considering how open he is about scamming back in the day.

Asmon does what he's gotta do to keep the lights on and the show going, there was something that happened that made the sponsors get scared a few years ago, and some adjustments and changes had to be made to keep the show going. I don't blame him.

I honestly don't remember if I was this bad when I first started playing but it would be interesting to watch myself again in the past playing this for the first time just to see what plays I did. Game is out for like more than an year and everyone judging the dude starting now is so stupid.
People like to forget that they were beginners at some point & somehow they've always been "great" at gaming.
I've never played this game before in my life, but I can still read what cards do and play them strategically. Makes more sense since he's new to card games for the most part.
We shouldnt forget that when we are starting a new game, we can take our time to comprehend and to read everything. I can just imagine how much more pressure it is with a few thousand ppl in stream expecting to get fed some juicy content
Never played the game and even i can say that he is playing horribly. Like 45:14 makes absolutely no sense, 1st zone is 100% lost and he plays a card there wasting it

@Vueko_ I do agree, it is grindy IF you are trying to get particular cards. The best way to play these games is theory crafting based on the cards you get.
There are half a dozen meta builds at one time, dozen strong builds, and a ton of viable builds. There is no excuse for moaning about not winning due to not having a good deck.
I use an off-meta Silver Surfer with move focused 3 costs (King Pin, Spiderman, Juggernaut, etc). It's by far my best WR deck and I haven't seen anyone use it. I am Infinity rank for clarity.
@Vueko_ oh its dreadful. That said, I respect their card tier system. New players get a deck with syngegy. Then cards which broaden the synergies. Then cards with new play styles all together.
We have to remember, it is a F2P game, a high quality one at that. Yes, they are going to monetize it and they have done so pretty well imo

You're playing mainly bots till you're like rank 30 - 40+ in pool 1 :). Nice playing Marvel Snap though. Absolutely love this game. I've played it since launch and the way they switch the meta all the time keeps the game fresh.

I’m sorry but however said this was a P2P game is dead wrong. This is the closest to F2P I have seen in several years.
You can pay and get more cards faster but almost all the cards are good and easily accessible while not paying.
If you feel a desperate need to own them all then sure it’s P2P but you only need a couple good decks to dominate. Once you have those, you never need to pay again. Or at all now with the new setup.

True, the game has been steadily improving since launch. Should be a good 1 year anniversary this winter.
Game's already been out for over a year. I've been playing it since Season 2 back in July 2022.

it's insane to me how this is almost identical to Caravan from New Vegas. Just with a lot more intuitive gameplay, better sound effects, and marvel characters

i play this since the beginning the monetization is awful , you kinda expected to get 1 new card PER MONTH as FTP , that said the gameplay , IP and the art is top tier
It's not nearly as bad as it used to be after the updates, I quit playing back when it was like that now card acquisition feels better or I have just been getting lucky not sure tbh
It's way easier now to get the new cards released with the spotlight caches, that was addressed a 2 months ago. Maybe you quit before that.

I love Asmon and have watched the guy consistently for over 8 years now, but it's finally starting to get obnoxious at just how lazy of a gamer he is.. or that he pretends to be. It's like he's almost afraid to actually learn the games the takes the time to play. Can tell that in his mind this is just some bs game that he'll play a few times and never come back to, so the effort to care is lacking. Which is definitely a factor in the obnoxiousness of it all. He's honestly a smart guy, so I don't really understand how his comprehension of pretty basic things is essentially nonexistent most of the time when he plays a new game. I know he always has anxiety about playing new things, which is all the more reason to slow it down a little and actually learn. I know that's too much to ask, considering his stubbornness trait is not only maxed, but fully ascended as well.
Agreed. I'm a huge fan of snap and asmon and was excited to see him play but this.... this was difficult to watch. I think I like his reaction videos more than his gameplay at this point

I didn't either until I played snap, it's well supported, not loaded with gotcha, f2p friendly, marvel themed, matches last 2 to 4 minutes, it scratches that pvp itch, and it's mobile. Been playing since November, it's a blast!

its a simple and fun game without the stress of competitive card games...ironic...i know.
BTW, once you reach Level 25 you will be playing with 100% Human Players, level 24 and below is a mix of new players and AI.

Jesus I tried watching this shit but it's too fucking cringe. He acts so surprised when he loses to the easiest bots imaginable, yet if he only just read what the cards do and reads what the locations do, he'd be winning like crazy.
I feel like asmon was losing intentionally just like those shitty ads where they lose the easy game intentionally so it it gets you so frustrated that you have to download the game and play it on your own to feel the satisfaction of winning and not feel like you are losing brain cells XD .....I swear as a card game enthusiast this felt so wrong and it seriously gave me anxiety XD

this is a good "phone" game. games you play when you're in line, or waiting for someone. game looks good enough, sounds great, and very easy to just jump in and out to. definitely not a game you'd put hours into daily though since there's not much depth to work around

@@cattogatothey introduced the depth gradually by getting 1 card every some level up so you can familiarize yourself first. So steady learning curve imo
@@Ventus_Sicarius i just literally described what was played in the video. and i grew up playing yugioh so i had to compare it with what i know. and i thought Yugioh definitely had much depth and ways to play around and build decks. i just thought M.snap is just another card game where you just need all the rare good cards and you're set. i dont even think there's synergy for each card to work around.
